We designed it with our family's needs in mind, aiming to provide a perfect retreat in the heart of beautiful Door County. However, as our kids became more involved in youth sports, our time to enjoy this haven became limited. We decided to open up our cherished home to others so they too can experience the charm and beauty of Door County. We envisioned a home that offered both seclusion and convenience, a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle while remaining close enough to immerse ourselves in the vibrant local scene. Our goal was to create a space where we could savor the excitement of local festivals by day and then retreat to our peaceful sanctuary by night. Here, you can bask in the serenity of the surrounding nature, gaze up at the star-studded sky, and listen to the soothing sounds of the forest. It’s the perfect balance of lively activity and peaceful solitude, providing a unique escape to enjoy the best of both worlds.

Every detail of this home reflects a personal touch and craftsmanship. The cabinets, each uniquely crafted, were handmade by the host’s father, showcasing a blend of skill and familial dedication.
