A little history about the property- My ancestors built little sister resort (was next door) when they settled the area and when my grandparents sold that they built this house in 74. I actually lived in it from 9-16 too. The resort ended up buying it and renting it out for 20+ years. When the resort sold, they broke off some of the side properties including this one. My husband and I jumped at the chance to own what used to be family property.
Any questions then feel free to ask!

We have a great stay for the 4th weekend at the house. great location, we were able to grill out and have a campfire at night in the yard. Would recommend this renter!
We enjoyed our stay. There is a nice view and walking distance to Pebble beach for a great sunset. Nice fire pit too. Nissa was quick to respond to our question. Thanks, hope to re-visit someday.
Nice stay just a short distance from downtown sister bay. Home is older, has a bit of a musty smell. Could use a nice deep clean. Beds are comfortable. Owners very responsive. Nice stay place to stay in Sister Bay!
The home was old but spacious. The wifi was great, having A/C was great. Being on a quiet secluded road was great. We enjoyed watching the sunset on nearby Pebble Beach and being so close to Al Johnson's for breakfast. We always enjoy our time in Door County.
The house is set in a very quiet neighborhood. The front yard has a partial view of Sister Bay while we say at the bistro table and chairs.
All their beds and furniture were clean and comfortable.
The inside of the house had a little musty smell. It did dissipate after we turned on the Air Conditioning.
Cozy and quiet moments from the heart of Sister Bay
This was everything we had hoped for! A clean and comfy ranch in a quiet, woodsy setting, you would never guess this is only a couple minutes outside the bustle of Sister Bay! The beds were comfy, the fire pit was relaxing, and morning coffee on the deck were perfect. We had a nice short trip to Pebble Beach from there too! The owner was very prompt to respond and amiable when we had questions, plus she made sure plenty of amenities were stocked up for our use. We can't thank the owner enough for an ideal stay!
Nissa is a super host. She was available and attentive to our needs. The only hiccup occurred when, with our extended stay (11 days) and having a couple of old friends stay three nights, we ran short of toilet paper. I notified Nissa of the need, but we had to provide for our shortage. I wonder if there is a VRBO rule that doesn't allow the host to come and interact with the guests? If so, it's a rule that needs to change.
We had a wonderful stay. The house is older ('70s), but is in good condition and provided us with the space and location we needed for our vacation.
Nice clean house. Older but that's OK. Location is good. Lots of trees around the property/area so there will are bugs and spiders outside, but also deer. Only issue was the grill outside didn't get hot enough to cook a brat. All in all, happy with the place.

Sister Bay Surprise
The home had not been cleaned before we got there! The countertop and stove top were dusty and greasy. The kitchen sink had food particles and coffee grounds in the strainers. The windows and patio doors were full of mildew and spider webs, and we killed at least a dozen spiders in the first couple of days. If the place had been cleaned prior to our arrival, we would not have had any complaints.
We left the place cleaner than we found it!!
Older home, but comfortable beds, clean inside, and had a wood burning fireplace which we enjoyed. House had the amenities we needed and expected, though somewhat outdated.
There were a couple of issues, one being the showers did not have shower heads, just nozzles, and the house definitely had a damp odor throughout. Lots of bugs and cobwebs on exterior windows, the outside wasn't ready for guests.
PROS: The house location is great - short drive into Sister Bay downtown area, close to grocery store, within walking (long walk though) to Pebble Beach with gorgeous sunsets! The owner of the house is extremely responsive to the messages and kind, too - Nissa ran out a coffee maker replacement when the one in the house wasn't working. The house has plenty of room to cook, dine, hang out, and accommodate. There is space in the driveway and front yard for kids to play. And there is a firepit with chairs.
CONS: However, the property came up short on our expectations of cleanliness/smell/wetness. The house was VERY damp, there were AC wall units that tried to dry it up. So it either our family (especially little kids) were cold/damp or warm/wet/smelly. There were lots of air fresheners throughout the house to help with the smell, but as someone who is sensitive to strong smells, we had to unplug a few to be able to breathe. As much as we wanted to enjoy the house, the smell and wetness really soured our stay.
