The villa was beautiful, and exactly as pictured/described. We felt very secure in the quiet, upscale Playa Langosta area--there's an outer gate with keypad locks--and you couldn't ask for closer beach access. The location near Tandoor restaurant and a small market was also great. The villa was very well stocked with everything we needed to cook a few breakfasts and lunches, and we also appreciated that beach towels were included. The hosts at Krain were amazing: I had many questions and they were super friendly and responsive.

Costa Rica Getaway

This property was VERY clean! I loved the unique tile and architectural details of the villa. It suited our family of four perfectly. It was a short walk to the beach and golf cart ride to town. We will definitely stay here again!

Awesome place in Playa Laongosta!

Great property, across the street (90 second walk) from the beach. nice, well-appointed and roomy for a family or 2-3 couples. 2 great restaurants within walking distance and Tamarindo is a 5-minute drive, 20-minute walk. close but separated form the party. ;)

Our family of four stayed two nights, enjoyed all the comforts and conveniences of this beach condo. The Vrbo pictures accurately depict what you can expect. We preferred the nearby Langosta beach over the main Tamardino beach. Only issue was the AC in first floor bedroom did not work so well. Otherwise, everything met our expectations, wished we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful Costa Rican coast

This property wowed everyone in the family! Loved the fun tile, the private swimming pool, and comfortable beds. We were a short walk to the Tamarindo beach and a few restaurants. Going into Tamarindo for dinner we preferred an Uber which was cheap and easily accessible. The surfing provided hours of enjoyment for the whole family. Boards are available directly on the beach for rental and they allow easy exchange for different sized boards and lessons if desired. We found most of the restaurants in the area to be more expensive than expected, but the food was always very good. The property management office helped secure airport pickup and a rental car for our journey into the rainforest. Both went smoothly and the rental car was a better price than we could find on our own.Would definitely recommend and return!

Nice Villa - not 5 star

This is a beautuful villa in a great location. Lots of nice restaurants in the area and far from the Tamarindo madness. Love the style of the villa, 3 great rooms each with its own bath and nice private courtyard. However, when we arrived, the cleaning was not done and we had to leave and come back. Cleaning crew did a great job inside, but pool and patio were a mess and we had to clean these ourselves. Also, do not plan on doing any cooking yourself, they supply you with an absolute bare minimum. For this price point you would expect a much more well equiped kitchen. This is a kRain Vacations rental, so they probably have their hands full and are not keeping up with the attention to detail this great space deserves.

A Dreamy Mediterranean-Style Villa in Paradise!

Pros:Costa Rica has a lot of bugs. Surprisingly this place did not.Safe area and the air conditioners work!Management company was responsive and quickly came out and resolved 2 concerns.Family would come back to this unit again in the future.Cons: Light switches, there are many, label them.Unit has some delayed maintenance. Coffee pot and dish washer are in process of puttering out. Fountain in the house is off. Pool filtration needs work. Dont get me wrong everything works.

The best hidden gem in Tamarindo

I'm absolutely speechless by my experience staying at Villa Vida by the Sea. If you appreciate good design and taste, staying at this place is a must when visiting Tamarindo. Located in the quiet neighbourhood of Playa Langosta, the area is very safe and wealthy, just across the street from the best beach in town. The beach is very quiet and the perfect place to hang out with your friends and family without all the tourists from the main beach in town. You can cross the river and have a pristine white sand beach pretty much all to yourself! If you enjoy surfing, one of the best waves in town is right in front of the house—but be aware that this is a more intermediate/advanced spot. Beginner waves at the main beach are a short drive away! The house was carefully designed with furniture and decoration tastefully curated for travellers who appreciate quality and attention to detail. As you enter the place you can picture yourself being at a private villa in a remote Balearic Island, with beautiful artwork, bold colours, geometric tiles and architectural features that belong in design magazines. The beds are so comfortable that you will want to sleep in every day. The social areas were designed for interaction and the house comes with a state-of-the-art audio system so you can play your favourite tunes, sip a cocktail and enjoy quality time with your friends and family. The climate control system allows you to set the perfect temperature in any room and the extensive lighting system allows you to set the ambience for any occasion. The pool and backyard are an oasis within an oasis. The perfect spot to read, chill and cool off. If you are a digital nomad, there are so many spots to work at that you will never get bored of your office space. For those who enjoy cooking, the villa has absolutely everything you need to cook anything from quick to elaborated meals. The communication with the owners and the host was flawless and they were always available for any of our needs. Within 30 minutes of walking into the door we had two massage therapists arriving for massages and dinner reservations at the best sushi place in town for afterwards. The only thing I wish is that I had booked the place for 20 nights instead of 2! Really looking forward to staying back at the villa next time I come to Tamarindo. Thanks so much for the remarkable hospitality and unforgettable experience!

Pura Vida during my stay in Villa Vida by the Sea

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I want to take my time to express the overwhelming experience I had staying at the Krain property in Villa Cerca del Mar! The staff was amazing and very attentive. They helped with setting up airport transportation to and from the property. They also made sure I had everything I needed for a great stay. The property...not much I can say after the word amazing. The property basically is a mini palace with a private pool right across the Calle (street) from the la Playa (the beach) and both my days and nights were exceptional. With a pool, a grill, a cooler, and some chairs, the property literally had everything you need for a great time! Long story short, the people, the property, the place...my stay in Tamarindo, Costa Rica was one of the best trips I’ve ever had and I can’t wait to return. Thank you Krain, you don’t owe me a thing! #PuraVida 😊😊😊
