HappyCub - Hot Tub, Fireplace, Game Room!

Beautiful location in the heart of Killington, just behind the Market and by Casey`s Caboose. Minutes to the slopes and walking distance to the restaurants, market and shuttle. Relax and connect with friends and family in this lovely 4BR, 2 Bath home. There are 2 floors for people to spread out, enjoy an eat in kitchen and open concept living room with huge Roku TV and Alexa. Downstairs, have fun in the game room, with arcade games, Nintendo, board games and air hockey. Fun for all!


We have a dedicated workspace for remote working with very fast internet on a gigabit network.

You will have access to the entire home.

We are local if you need us.

Weber grill is propane, not for use with charcoal.

Please note: If you need a pack `n play or a high chair - these must be requested in advance. When you reach out to us, we can provide a link to request these for a fee via BabyQuip.
• Please be sure that you have entered the correct number of guests.
• You understand that use of the hot tub is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved in using the hot tub. You accept full responsibility for any injury, harm, or death arising from use of the hot tub, and hold owner and property manager harmless.
• We welcome families and occupants over the age of 25. We have a strict rule of no parties, large groups or events at this home.
• We will provide you with door codes for our smart lock to come and go as you please and for contactless check in and out. No one will meet you at the property.
• Our entire home is non-smoking (e-cigs included). You may only smoke outdoors. There is a $500 fine for smoking in the house.
• Quiet hours are from 10pm - 8am. We use Minut, smart home technology that measures volume levels throughout the property and allows us to respond to noise nuisances without disrupting your stay. Minut is 100% privacy compliant and is required on this property. If you have any questions, please ask. We are committed to your comfort so please let us know if we can do anything during your stay to make it more enjoyable.
• Fireworks are not permitted.
• For your safety and ours, we have an outdoor camera aimed at the driveway. There are no cameras in any of the living areas.
• We use ladders to access the bunk beds. You agree to hold the owner harmless for any injury or death that is resulting from the use of the ladders.

Perfect house for friends & family ski weekend

This property was the perfect place to stay during a weekend ski competition. It’s very close to the lodge, shopping and restaurants. The well-appointed kitchen allowed us to prep meals for all. And the hot tub and games kept everyone entertained while not skiing. Two families with preteen kids fit in well. We would love to stay again!

Perfect spot and great location to town

My husband, son and our friends enjoyed staying at this home. We all slept comfortably and had all of the necessary amenities. Hosts were very proactive and responsive. Appreciated the added touch they provided with the Vermont Maple syrup for our pancakes (I had actually forgot to bring syrup) and coffee. The group was able to enjoy the hot tub each night after a long day of skiing! Will definitely look to stay here again!

Killington Stay

We had a nice time at the Happy Cub. The accommodations are a bit more worn than the photos, couch especially, but typical of a VT ski home. Kitchen was well stocked. Hot tub was in need of maintenance but they sent someone quickly while we were there. Stairs and carpet on stairs were a little scary for little ones. Nice stay overall, but expectations were higher based on the photos and ratings.

Fantastic ski house

We rented this ski house for Christmas and all was perfect. The hosts were in touch ahead of our travel as the weather was impacting the Killington area. When we arrived, there was a welcoming basket. The place is very spacious and comfortable. The hosts responded immediately throughout our stay. All in all it was perfect. We highly recommend!

A great stay in Killington

Full disclosure, this was my first time using a VRBO and all I can say is that the bar has been set pretty high for the future. The house is in good shape and was neat and clean on arrival and even had some Vermont goodies left for us by the host. My wife and I enjoyed having a quiet base of operations for our 5 nights in Killington. The property is quiet and secluded up a long stone/rock drive just off the main road in Killington. Pictures are accurate and the house is clean and comfortable. hosts were great and when I reached out with a few very (VERY) minor issues they were resolved immediately. Communication was quick and concise. While it was only my wife and I this property has plenty of rooms for more people. Beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked with appliances and utensils and there are plenty of dining, shopping, hiking in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning int he future.

Great home for groups

This place is great - there is enough room so that everyone could get together for meals, yet could retreat to your own space for quiet time. We used this home as base camp for our NOBO thru Appalachian Trail hikers. They slack packed for the 3 rainy days when we were there. The downstairs was perfect for getting off the wet gear and muddy boots. Plenty of places to sit and hang stuff up to dry. They appreciated the abundance of towels, a hot shower, and a comfy warm bed. They all commented it got them thru those tough wet trail days and allowed them to recover before tackling the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Smart TV came in handy for movie nights as well as casting from phones to see everyone's pictures and videos.

Classic VT for great family vacation

The house was accurately described in the listing and the layout worked very well for us. Hard to beat the convenience of the location - close to resort base, shops and restaurants. Hosts were on top of every detail - including high-end linens and timely communication. They quickly reacted to a power outage and immediately let us know that they were aware of the situation and had already been working with the power company. Issue resolved without any impact to our stay. Hope to come back soon!

Great set up for large group of 8 people.

The bedding and overall condition of the rooms is much better then the pictures. Everything looks brand new. The house is a little bit on the flimsy side, so bring earplugs if your a light sleeper. This house is perfect for a large group. Lots of seating. Also, the hot tub is very very very well maintained. The water is actually changed after each guest stay. In addition, we made a last minute request to have the hot tub treated last minute again because we used it so much. They were out immediately to accomodate us. We really enjoyed out stay.

Why they chose this property

Happy Cub has space to spread out and come back together to make memories. Downstairs there is a game room with a cozy fireplace. Test your skills and the authentic arcade game or play classic Nintendo games on the Nintendo system. There are also board games and comfortable couches to watch a movie on the smart televisions on both floors. Upstairs there is a open concept kitchen with dining and living room, so nobody misses any of the action. An outdoor hot tub allows everyone to relax at the end of a fun day. There is a place to work from home and plenty of bed options so that every group can find a place to sleep comfortably.

We have the fastest Wi-Fi on the mountain with fiber optic coming directly into the home and screaming fast speed so that everyone can enjoy their devices at the same time.

The kitchen is well organized and fully stocked. In the bedrooms, the mattresses our new and so are the luxury linens. Each bed has a down comforter with a white cotton duvet and crisp clean and new white cotton sheets throughout.

The location is fantastic, only 2 miles from the mountain and sat right behind the market with walkable access to restaurants and bars. The same time, it feels like you were in the middle of a forest, so close to everything, yet so private.
