Whiffletree D8 Condo Description
Welcome to Whiffletree D8, a bright, spacious 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo perfect for your mountain getaway. This two-level top-floor unit features comfortable furnishings and charming décor, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
On the main level, you'll find a cozy living room with a gas fireplace, where you can relax while enjoying your favorite shows on the flat-screen TV (streaming only). The updated kitchen is fully equipped with an electric stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and dishwasher, making meal preparation a breeze. Gather around the comfortable dining area that seats 8, perfect for sharing meals and creating memories. This level also includes two cozy bedrooms, each with a Queen bed, and a full bathroom for added convenience. Step outside through the sliding glass doors to enjoy fresh mountain air and stunning views from your private balcony.
Moving to the upper level, you'll discover a fun room featuring 2 sets of bunk beds, ideal for kids or extra guests, along with a second bedroom that has 2 twin beds. A full bathroom on this level ensures easy access for everyone.
Whiffletree is centrally located in the heart of Killington's main basin area. In the summer, enjoy walking distance to the Killington golf course. In the winter, take advantage of the free shuttle service to the Snowshed base lodge, just ½ mile away, and enjoy "ski home" access when there's natural snow.
Whether you're looking to hit the slopes or unwind in a beautiful mountain setting, Whiffletree D8 is the perfect choice for your next vacation!
In the winter, enjoy the Whiffletree ski home trail which lets you ski home whenever you are ready! Free shuttle service is also provided to the Snowshed base lodge area.
Things to keep in Mind:

Our property has a no-smoking policy. No smoking of any kind is allowed. There could be an additional cleaning fee if smoking in the unit.
Our property is not pet-friendly. Additional housekeeping fees could apply if unauthorized pets are found on the property.
Minimum of 24 years of age to rent this condo.
Shuttle service is offered in the Winter on Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays.
Ski home trail is dependent on natural snow.

Stayed right after Christmas for a long weekend. Location is great. Property was clean and fit our family nicely. The condo could use some more hooks / areas to store ski gear, but overall it was a great stay.

Close to Killington Resort

Good place, close to the resort. Not quite walkable, especially when it's cold, but it's a solid place to stay with a group as there's a good number of rooms and beds.

Very nice and clean condo!

My family had a great weekend staying at the condo for our daughter’s graduation. Plenty of space for our family of seven. Very peaceful scenic area location.

Great Ski Condo

This unit was the perfect ski condo for our family getaway. Location is convenient to the mountain, plenty of parking directly outside, and very clean and well appointed condo with 8 beds. Loved that there were hooks everywhere to hang towels, sweatshirts, etc. We will happily stay here again.

Quick trip for a wedding

It was all we needed for our stay but it was a lot smaller than what we expected. The bathrooms for 8-10 adults are very small. It would probably be okay for a family with adults and children.

Great location!!

The condo with shuttle service made getting to the mountain extremely convenient. The condo itself was in good condition. My only complaint was that at night the bedrooms upstairs got very hot, which made it a bit uncomfortable. Turning thermostats down didn't seem to solve the issue, as the heat was still pumping. Overall, still a very nice stay.

Great rental Close to slopes

Great rental with room for everyone. We were a group of 9 adults and the rental fit us all. The Rams Head base was down the street and the shuttle picked us upright at the condos entrance. People could come and go as they pleased. Bathrooms were clean and the kitchen, though small, was fine. Killington Distillery was at the end of the street with a free comedy show. Fun! We would rent again.

Ski In condo near base of SnowShed base

Place was clean and neat and matched description on posting. We had a great time and rung in the New Year. Used the shuttle to get to the mountain base of snowshed and barley had enough snow on trail to get back to condo Trailed ends right across street from entrance to condo. Very convenient. Restaurants and bars are close within a mile or too. Overall great place and would definitely stay again. Communication with host was prompt and helpful.

There was plenty of space for everyone and was well equipped with everything you need. This is not a 5-star condo, but a perfect balance of amenities and price. Would have been great to have access to pool/hot tub, but wasn’t a deal breaker. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Killington.

Successful Killington Stage Race

7 bike racers - plenty of beds, privacy for all and enough bathrooms and showers. Good kitchen space and equipment. Quick access to KSR stages. Great place.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo has ample space but really requires a renovation. The upstairs bathroom should be first on the list. The shower can only be described as spongy, you felt like you were going to crash through below when you were in it and it had no drain cover and did not drain properly. I would also suggest that the kitchen stock be revisited, there were no big pots and the frying pans need to be replaced.

Needs a renovation

I booked my stay very late and this was one of the only property I could find to fit my group. The reviews said that it was sparkling clean and well equipped. I will say in my opinion the kitchen was sparsely equipped and the entire rental is really in need of a renovation. The kitchen table was still sticky when we arrived and the dishes in the cabinets were dirty, especially the glasses, we had to wash them. We also found food on plates in the cabinets. The rest of the condo was reasonably clean. The bathroom on the second floor was especially depressing. The drain cover was missing and it fills with water when you are showering. It also feels like you may fall through the floor as it feels so spongy. I would also like to suggest that the shower curtain liner be changed with each new renter. The dollar store has them, they had visable soap scum on them. The kitchen cabinets are peeling as well and the counter top has burns etc. The furniture is so worn that there is plastic under the cushions to camoflage how bad the cushions are. If all you care about is location then this is the place for you. I would not go back. On a positive side the check in process was effortless and the rental agency a pleasure to deal with. And the location was great.

Good Location But Not Worth The Price

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was very outdated. The lighting in the kitchen came from spotlights in the living room. The kitchen was not fully equipped and the pots/pans that were provided were in poor condition. Condo security was called to our unit two of the nights (before 10pm) due to a noise complaint when we were all sitting playing cards, I believe the noise came from the kitchen chairs being moved on the floor creating noise for those below us. If you plan to stay up past 9pm this is not the rental for you. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper provided in each bathroom for a condo that can sleep 8 people, with 2 rolls of paper towels. We had to purchase our own in a condo that was renting for over $1,000/night. The only upside was that plenty of towels were provided for the guests. Rental is located close to the mountain unit is very bare bones.

Whiffletree D8 Killington

Great location ! Should note on rental info it is on second floor in terms of carrying things up in case renting to elderly. Furniture in need of updating . Mattress covers need replacement . 2nd Bathroom tiny. Should have some general information and instructions in unit regarding shuttle location and timing ; ski maps . A bit crowded with 9 people. A little smaller than expected but at the same time cozy . Encourages lots of interactions.
