This charming "gite" is located in a renovated farmhouse at the end of a private road, in the midst of 80 hectares of agriculture with cows and horses, adjoining a small "Château". The 18m pool is located in the rose garden with view over the park and open for our adult guests from
10. 00h until 18. 00h.
2 km from the center of Cluny with its shops, Saturday market, restaurants and attractions. Quiet location with numerous opportunities for hiking and cycling (entrance to the "Voile Verte" at 1500m), mountain biking and horse riding nearby .

A lovely holiday

There are 4 holiday apartments attached to the small chateau. We were in one of two that was in the converted barn. The apartment has lots of space, and is pleasantly furnished. It's a lovely setting. Quiet, surrounded by farmland and in very attractive countryside. The historic town of Cluny is down the road, with lots to offer. And there are chateaux and castles to see within an easy drive. The chateau swimming pool and area was ours to use, and it was a pleasure. There was just one thing that I'm sure should be improved for future visitors. Other visitors often stayed for a few days, but we were staying for two and a half weeks. While there was space and plumbing for a washing machine in the apartment, there was no washing machine. Nor was our apartment cleaned or sheets changed. New visitors might want to check this, as the owners are helpful. It felt like an oversight.

More than one rental apartment - some lovely and others less so

We only spent one night in the apartment shown with the old cart beneath it. The photo shows the balcony which is used by two apartments so the table and chairs have to be kept folded and there's little privacy as the only window is the door. There's table space for one apartment down where the old cart used to be. Not a great arrangement. I would therefore not choose the BERNON apartment again. However we moved to ODILON instead which was a million times better. Huge space, lots of windows and French windows. A pleasure to be there. The downside is that the balcony is directly above another apartment for four people and it was therefore not peaceful all the time. There are other places to sit or sunbathe however. The pool was in a beautiful setting and this was the high point. High speed trains hurtle down the valley below but it is not too invasive. A very nicely maintained location but it is a shame that all the apartments are close together - currently 4 or 5. Each has a name but search engines don't come up with the whole offering so it's hard to get an idea of the layout and choose accordingly. If you want privacy and quiet this isn't the best place for you sadly.

Traumhafte Lage

Die Lage ist einfach nur traumhaft schön und für mich,die einfach nur Ruhe finden wollte,war es genau das richtige! Der Empfang war herzlich ,mit einer Flasche Wein und frischen Blumen auf dem Tisch, Kleinigkeiten die ich sehr schön finde! Die Wohnung war geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sauber! Mit bezogenen Betten und bereitliegenden Handtüchern...ansonsten auch alles vorhanden was man brauch! Der Weg in den Ort ist nicht weit,aber zieht sich ...für mich als Sportmuffel am besten mit dem Auto! Für jeden anderen mit dem Fahrrad ein Klacks! Ich habe es sehr genossen und werde mit Sicherheit wieder kommen! Vielen Dank!
