This quaint bungalow is nestled creekfront in complete privacy at the end of the road surrounded by mountain forest. It is right on a rushing creek running through all 3 acres. Enjoy panning for the gold we always find in it, sleeping to the peaceful sound of the creek directly from the comfortable sleeping porch or bedroom with beautiful views of the creek, relaxing on the spacious screened in porch day and night, or toasting marshmallows in the outside fire-pit while star gazing.
It is THE perfect place for a relaxing, romantic getaway for a couple, or bring the kids who will absolutely love playing in the creek and panning for gold. The outdoor screened in porch is THE BEST place for daytime napping or nightime sleeping in the large, very comfortable queen futon. Often two couples choose the bungalow because of the outside porch sleeping or pull out queen sofabed. If you are looking for a larger cabin, please look at my other creekfront cabin which sleeps 8-10 also in Coker Creek at vrbo #182825
In the evening, the creek has beautiful low voltage lighting throughout the property. Nearby there are hundreds of hiking trails including four incredible waterfall hikes and Bald River which is the most spectacular river to kayak, fish, or swim.
Cyclists can bike right from the property straight to the Cherahala Skyway and also the beautiful River Road. Motorcyclists love staying here as well because of the easy access to the Skyway and easy gravel road to the cabin.
If you enjoy seclusion, are a nature lover, and like the peacefulness of creek side accommodations, this is the place for you. You won't find a more cozy, private cabin RIGHT ON the rushing creek. It is truly getting away from it all and back to nature relaxing in paradise. There isn't another cabin like it available for rental.

Very cozy cabin & secluded area. The screened area was a great placr for out dogs to hang out. Loved having the wood burning fireplace. It had a nice atmosphere for our Christmas stay.
Our stay was awesome, nestled deep in the woods ,noone around, quiet, relaxing and serene. Clean beautiful bungalow with everything you need to relax. Loved it
Cozy little cabin in a nice secluded area right on a beautiful creek.
Greatplace to take a break from reality :) Hated to leave and hope to come back someday.
The pictures do not do it justice! This place is amazing! Peaceful and relaxing with zero traffic noise! The cabin is clean and really comfortable. Perfect for a quiet place to decompress. Highly recommend!
This place was just perfect for my husband and me - and our dog. Nothing fancy, but a true little cabin in the woods. It’s also conveniently located to venture out to all that the Tellico Plains area has to offer.
Although an interesting drive to reach this property, the "remoteness" of the property, and the nature surrounding it, made this one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had. The only man-made noises we heard were made by us! The creek running through the "backyard" was wonderful to sleep by, and for rock hounds, a lot of fun picking through. A wonderful place to stay!
If your needing the perfect place to disconnect from this crazy world this is the place to do just that! Beautiful roaring creek with nice overlooking screened in porch. Just spent 4 nights there it was unusually cold for this time of year but we managed to enjoy the fire pit by the creek every night! Bald River Falls is a must see beautiful drive along the river!

Everything we wanted
Everything was very nice and peaceful. The area was beautiful. Panning for gold was on my husband's list so it was great being able to this right out our back door. ne thing is to check the water leak in the bedroom. It looks like it may have mold developing.

I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay at the cabin. The creek front location is truly special! Hope you enjoyed some nice creek side fires and spent a night on the creek front sleeping porch.
Regarding the leak, this is a new development due to a recent storm and is being rectified. We actively keep the place mold free. Hope you can come back and visit again.
It’s a tiny, cozy cabin and if you are looking for something fancy you should move on. You’re in the woods, and I do mean the woods. BUT if you want to soothe your soul and find a little peace, you should book this cabin. The pics don’t do it justice. The screen porch is perfect and honestly, it’s all about the lovely creek this cabin sits on. There is no cell service but WIFI works fine. Bed and bathroom are nice, water pressure excellent and the toilet flushes fantastically. What more does a human need? We rarely left during our 4 days and we didn’t want it to end.

Thank you for your review. We totally agree with you that it is all the best of a private camping experience with the luxuries of a kitchen, bath, comfortable bedding and a beautiful indoor space (however 99 percent of the time is spent outside by the creek, firepit or on the sleeping/dining porch. It is truly magical where you feel completely separated from reality and can truly refresh. We rarely leave ourselves. Come back anytime!
This cozy cabin in the woods was perfect for our fall getaway! The close proximity to the babbling creek below made for such peaceful morning coffees and we really enjoyed eating together on the back patio with the beauty of nature in the backdrop. The creek can be head from inside as well! You wont want to leave, recommend bringing your groceries! The kitchen is small but we were able to fill the fridge and made quite a few meals for two just fine. Quiet country neighborhood and at the very end of the road. Nice fireplace, we used the grill too and TV has been updated to a flat screen since the pics last taken. It is somewhat rustic so there is some dust here and there, but it wasn’t anything major to complain about. Great for couples or intimate groups that don't mind sharing a small bathroom.
This cozy little cabin right on the creek was the perfect weekend getaway. The main living space is really the screened-in porch, which offers beautiful views of the woods and creek, very comfy rocking chairs, a dining table, and a futon to make it a sleeping porch. I love that there are lots of blankets in the cabin to bundle up on cool evenings, even in the summer. The king bed in the bedroom was very comfortable, and the shower was hot with good water pressure. The kitchen is tiny, so I would not recommend planning big meals or cooking too much--but there is also a grill for outdoor cooking that works well. Everything was clean and well-taken care of. It is obvious that the host cares about her guests' experiences! We also loved the Coker Creek Welcome Center, right down the road, which was helpful to learn more about the area. We'll be back!

Worth It For The Creek
Overall, we had a good stay at this property. But...the cabin could use a good, deep cleaning. Dust was caked in many areas and it smelled like stale smoke when you first arrived. We felt "nickled and dimed" with the money jars on the counter for firewood, a pet fee, and even a trash bag fee for when you dump the trash (if you had too many bags). The creek is the real star of this place. And the location was perfect for the activities we wanted to enjoy.
Property was exactly as described. Super clean & cozy. The stream was so fun to play in. Buck bald & Consuaga falls were beautiful. Great walking trails & loved having a fire every night! Beautiful, perfect stay. Can’t wait to come back!
This is our second time staying here and we brought a friend as well, who was also impressed with the stay. Overall everything was wonderful. A few of the things I disliked were the floor being so creaky and the bathroom located in the bedroom. But the fire was warm, the location was amazing. And as always, the view is stunning. The creek running right by the house is always a treat to wake up to.
Enjoyed staying at the Bungalow a 2nd time. Hated to leave. Thank you Jennifer for having us. And helping come up with options on the last day. It really helped out.
We had an amazing trip Very peaceful, very relaxing, and the pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s actually a lot nicer than I expected. Very cozy little cabin.
We have always enjoyed the bungalow. Jennifer is great and we even had an incident this time and was able to reach Jill and Jennifer quickly. We slept out on the futon the first night. It was too cold the rest of the time. We will definitely be back. Love the seclusion and simplicity that this property offers.
This place is magical! It’s literally right on the creek and the lighting on the water at night is amazing. The inside is well furnished and clean. But honestly we didn’t spend much time inside. There is another cabin right beside it with a few trees in between that mostly blocked the view. So it is mostly private.
There were plenty of hiking trails/tourist activities around the area and local restaurants that were very nice.
Overall, we very much enjoyed ourselves. The cabin was worth it. :)
The cabin is remote and small but it was just what I needed after a long & stressful previous two weeks. The back porch is wonderful. The continuous sound of the running creek was therapeutic and the perfect place to unplug and rest. Thank you for sharing your little cabin in the woods with us.
This cabin is right on Coker creek, and it's a magical spot in the woods. It's nicer than the pictures indicate. The big screened-in porch is an awesome place to sit, as are the lower deck and up by the fire ring. Tiny landscape lights come on at dusk and subtly illuminate the creek and walkways. The bed is so comfortable we regularly slept past 8. We came looking for hiking and paddling, and were delighted by all the waterfall trails in the area and had a great day paddling up Citico creek to some awesome swimming holes. We definitely plan on coming back!
My husband and I came with our 15 yr old Golden retriever to celebrate 33 yrs of marriage and relax before starting new job. It was so relaxing and our dog loved the bubbling stream. Perfect spot for rewinding from all stress. Week spent hiking, reading, and putting together puzzle. One of our favorite vacations.

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer Haase
I chose this area because of the simplistic back to nature feel of Coker Creek. I love being outdoors, listening to the creek, watching the stars, sitting by the outdoor firepit and expecially sleeping on the outdoor screened in porch. Incredible!
Why they chose this property
This area is a nature lover paradise. It offers tons of hiking trails, the most gorgeous waterfalls I have ever seen outside of Hawaii, Bald River, and the Cherahala Skyway. The ATV trails and riding in this area is exceptional.
What makes this property unique
Relaxing in the screened in porch directly on the creek cannot be surpassed. Being in complete privacy surrounded by forest is extremely peaceful.
