Whidbey Island Beach Front Vacation Home

Enjoy longer vacations and weekend or holiday getaways at this Whidbey Island waterfront home near Maxwelton Beach on Useless Bay (60 waterfront feet of beach frontage). The home faces west towards the Olympic Mountains & daily sunsets. Just a few steps off the back yard you can walk for miles in either direction on no bank beaches and dig clams on the 3,000 front feet of tidelands (owned by the homeowner). At low tide, enjoy a sandy beach for up to 700 yards directly in front of the house. The location is ideal for Puget Sound fishing, crabbing, hiking, biking, golfing, and shopping in charming island towns. The boat launch is nearby. Enjoy all the comforts of home in the fully equipped kitchen complete with range, oven, microwave and dishwasher (induction cooktop), separate laundry room and wireless Internet. Each bedroom has its own TV as well as a 42” TV in the main living room. The home is a perfect setting for beach fire memories cooking smores and is gated for the safety of young children and pets from possible traffic.


Commute: The home is located seven miles from the Clinton-Mukilteo ferry landing. The ferry generally runs every 30 minutes on the hour from 6 am to midnight (however, please check the ferry schedule for specific times).

Boat: A boat launches can be found throughout Whidbey Island. A canoe is available on site for use upon complete release of liability.

Golf: Island Greens – A famous 9 hole custom built par 3 course that is very kid and dog friendly located less than one mile away from the home on French Road. Useless Bay Golf and Country Club – An 18 hole private golf course/club that provides reciprocal access available for private club members. Holmes Harbor – 18 hole public golf course located approximately 7 miles from the home.

Weekend away!

Wonderful weekend with family and friends at this beautiful home. This is the second time we’ve stayed here and it did not disappoint. Kitchen is well appointed, house is perfectly decorated and beach is right at your back door. Will be back for sure!

What a beautiful stay in this clean, well appointed home. Absolutely loved the house, beach and all the memories we created. I can’t think of one thing I would change. They had everything we needed. Beds and pillows were cozy. Communication was great. We stay on Whidbey every summer and this may be our new go-to home.

Another Wonderful Stay

This was our 4th year here and I think it’s become a family tradition. Our 5 year old granddaughter is already asking when we can go back to the Adventure House. As usual it had everything we needed including 2 bikes and a canoe.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at Ella's Beach House last weekend. The house is so well appointed. Super clean, comfortable and the views are spectacular! Ror and Lori are amazing hosts. We are definitely coming back!

Another Stay at Ella’s

Just perfect from check in to check out. Ror had this home set up for a couple like my wife and I or for 12 person groups, with one of everything plus much much more. Great location and beach to explore. Too many eagles to count flying by and wonderful beach fires. We’ll be back again for our fourth stay.

I cannot say enough about how great a home this is. We had 8 family members, and we were all easily accommodated. A great location, solidly-built beach cottage vibe, wonderful kitchen and great room, and sunsets over the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains that you have to see to believe. Hawaii at Maxwelton

The private community beach was just what we needed. Relaxed right away and had a full week of sun and breeze. We hosted a barbecue on the spacious deck for a few family members and all were impressed. The comfortable beds and lovely interior helped us enjoy.

Gorgeous home with beautiful view

This home is gorgeous, stunning sunsets, beautiful views all around, wildlife plus a kitchen that is so well stocked with everything we needed and then some! We were on the island for 5 days for our daughter’s wedding and Ror’s & Lori’s home provided a fabulous place for the family to relax in between wedding activities. Plenty of room, comfortable beds, furniture, including deck/patio chairs and table. Wish we could have stayed longer for more R&R after the wedding but we do hope to return and when we do we won’t even consider looking at any other properties. Lovely lovely lovely home in every way!

The Best Beach House!

Repeat visit. This house is just amazing. I return for the art - such a compliment to the view. My family loves it for the location, ease and amenities. This is one of the best stocked houses you’ll find. The owners obviously stay there a lot and are gracious to allow vacationers to enjoy their lovely spot and home. Thank you again!!

Wonderful Whidbey

Perfect spot for an easy getaway from Seattle. Everything about our stay was perfect. Our kids were able to do remote learning and would run out back door to play on the beach during breaks and after "school." House was clean, well stocked, and the communication with the owner was the best I've experienced in all my rental experiences. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us!

Perfect Beach House

Our extended family loved this house and would move in tomorrow given half a chance :) !! The house is literally on the beach and so quiet we barely saw anyone the entire weekend. Everything you could possible need is provided - it really does feel like home. Dinner on the deck with sunset as a backdrop, and waking up to the view from the master bedroom were the highlights for me. Thanks for a memorable stay!

Wonderful retreat

The house and location is amazing. Everything was very clean and the house is furnished to welcome you for your stay. The kitchen is well stocked. Ror was great to walk us trough everything and was always available for questions. It was such wonderful retreat from the world watching the ships go by and the sun set behind the mountains.
