THE RUSTIC ELEGANCE of Promontory's Trapper Cabins was inspired by Park City's frontier history.
This exceptional Trappers’ Cabin is conveniently located just a short walk from the Ranch Club Compound. PLEASE NOTE: NO UNACCOMPANIED RENTAL GUESTS MAY USE THE PROMONTORY AMENITIES, except that rental guests may use and enjoy the many miles of trails for hiking, enjoy the outdoor park-with sport court, PAR 10 circuit course, outdoor pickleball courts, fishing pond, and coming later in 2025, the low ropes course.

In awarding these cabin's the BUILDER'S CHOICE AWARD in 2008 the judges remarked, 'The rugged good looks of this mountain vacation home made it a clear winner. This mountain home is affectionately called a 'Trapper Cabin' but is much more than a cabin.' The Cabins have won several design and building industry awards.
The cabin offers 2400+/- square feet of fine living space and boasts breathtaking views of Deer Valley, The Canyons and Park City Mountain Resorts. From unique finishes to top-of-the-line Viking appliances in the gourmet kitchen, this mountain haven is the perfect place for your family to create memories that will last a lifetime. Shingle roofing, Hand-sculpted Plank & Chink siding, Old-fashioned grid window panes and front & back porch with hot tub, which takes advantage of the mountain vistas complete the authentic details.

Promontory Resort provides everything you could want including hiking/biking trails that turn into cross-country ski trails in the Winter. There is no need to leave the resort to feel like you are on a fantastic vacation; you can feel like you are being pampered one minute and in a wilderness preserve the next. Deer, Elk and other wildlife are everywhere!
Park City and Deer Valley are renowned for great restaurants, nightlife and shopping.

PROMONTORY RESORT IS KNOWN FOR IT'S LOCATION, AMAZING VIEWS, AND RENOWNED GOLF COURSES. Rental Guests may golf on the Pete Dye, Canyon course for a fee ( a limited number of tee times are available for Unaccompanied Guests ), however non Members may not golf on the Nicholas Painted Valley or short course Sage course, without being accompanied by a member. Property manager available during your stay if need arises.

Great property and location!

Our family of 4 enjoyed staying in the cabin. From the bathrooms to the kitchen, the essentials were stocked. The layout is perfect to spend time as a family and enjoy separate bedrooms for the teenagers. The location is great with regards to the ski slopes and restaurants. The neighborhood is beautiful!

Ski week stay

Had a wonderful stay at the Trapper cabin. The location and proximity to the Shed was great. The cabin was well-appointed, everything (e.g., kitchen supplies) you would need. Mark was super responsive with any questions from how does X or Y work. All around good stay. Look forward to staying again in the future.

Tapper Cabin

It was an excellent stay in a winter wonderland. We were able to gather around a large table and spend quality family time. The hot tub was an excellent plus after fun days of snow skiing. The neighborhood is gorgeous, especially with all the Christmas lights. The host corresponded throughly and quickly. It was a great experience and we highly recommend a stay at Trapper Cabin!

Great House and Location

My group of 8 really enjoyed the house. We were in Park City for a golf trip. The property is closely located to the Promontory Dye Course and other amenities. The kitchen comes supplied with everything one needs to cook at home. The house has a great deck.

My wife and I and another couple have rented this home in March over the last few years. Mark, the owner is very easy to deal with and responsive to your texts and even gives his cell phone if needed. Very comfortable cabin with all the amenities and kitchen supplies you need. Wood burning fireplace. Very comfortable beds. Nice place to stay if you want to get away from the crowds in Park City itself. Will stay there again in the future!

A little piece of advice for those who want to experience everything Park City has to offer; don't rent this place... We found it very difficult to leave the cabin and rarely left the Promontory community. The cabin is very comfortable with excellent furnishings, sheets, pillows, pots, pans, you name it. The Promontory community is as nice as you'll find anywhere with something for everyone. We plan on coming back as often as possible. A wonderful stay.

Fantastic Trapper Cabin in Promontory

Overall great experience! Mark was easy to communicate with and prompt to reply. House layout was just as expected for a trapper cabin. Clean cabin-like decor, instead of modern which we enjoyed throughly. Comfortable beds! Well appointed kitchen with every thing you could possibly need. Hot tub was on when we arrived, but there were no directions for use so we didn’t try it, since we didn’t know when chemicals were balanced last. This place is beautiful and great value for staying in promontory club with all of the comforts of home. We will be rebooking in the future for sure!

Great family Park City home!

We stayed here with our family to enjoy all the wintery offerings of Park City. This house didn't disappoint! The location, the comfortable home, and the scenery were everything we wanted. We loved seeing the huge herd of elk making their way around Promentory. Our family loved sitting around a large fire in the fireplace every night. And the hot tub was a very welcome treat at the end of ski days! Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to others!

Convenient location to the club. House needs a bit updating. The bar/dining area and the patio had too much furniture for the space and was difficult to navigate and utilize.
