The Maierhof was built around 1687 in the beautiful Bernau high valley. After successful renovation in accordance with the monument protection authority, it now offers a high-class holiday flat in the most beautiful high valley of the southern Black Forest. Whether you want to hike, cycle or simply relax, here you have an excellent place where you will simply feel at home.160m2 of holiday flat offers plenty of space for 4 people and is ideal for families with children, who are expressly welcome (up to 6 people possible on request). Please note that children from 6-14 years pay a lower tourist tax. The tax must be paid on site.

The historic "Stube" with a 200-year-old tiled stove invites you to a cosy get-together. The parlour is typical of Black Forest farmhouses with a traditional tiled stove and the original floorboards make it very cosy. The tiled stove can be lit for you on request.
The kitchen is modernly equipped (modern induction cooker with oven, microwave, dishwasher, fully automatic coffee machine and much more). The original charm of the smoke kitchen typical of these houses has been preserved, as can be seen from the soot-blackened beams. It's a great place to spend time cooking together. From the kitchen you can also access the south-facing balcony to enjoy the fantastic view of the Bernau valley.
The bedrooms: The flat offers 2 bedrooms on the upper floor for 2 people each with windows facing east and original beds that have been refurbished to modern dimensions and comfort. The rooms also contain historic wardrobes that were common in these farmhouses. If required, a third bedroom with a double bed can be booked with a view of the historic barn. Extra beds are available on request (cots and highchairs on request).
The bathrooms: The holiday flat has 2 modern shower bathrooms (one on each floor) with a comfortable bathtub in the wooden room and a modern rain shower with underfloor heating in the ground floor bathroom. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer.
In the living room there is a reading corner with a view of the valley or the old manger. You can also be entertained by the 5.0 multimedia system with satellite TV and 3D Blu-ray player and there is plenty of space for games for young and old. Naturally, a WiFi network is available.
The storage room: Bicycles, hiking boots, outdoor equipment, skis, etc. can be stored in a separate heated room.short description.
