Sugar Sand Cottage at Destin Pointe - Four Bedroom Home w Private Heated Pool

This beach cottage is located in an exclusive gated community of Destin Pointe. This beautiful four bedroom home offers a tranquil setting and unsurpassed amenities. A private lakefront pool offers and additional locale for relaxation and entertainment, perfect for sipping your evening cocktails while overlooking the lake.
Multiple levels of viewing decks provide guests with direct lake views, while quick access to the sugar sands beaches of Destin's East pass provides access to the beach.

Our home has a large pool (with heat from approx. October-May) you and your guests to enjoy year-round. Additional fee of $250 per stay applies to heat pool, please request this additional service to be applied with the property manager or add the fee as you book. Whether you are looking for a summer getaway, a spring fling, or a winter retreat, this home is ideal for your holiday! Our home provides a completely equipped kitchen, an outdoor grill, all linens, and even beach toys for your family to enjoy.

For 2025 Season, from March through October, beach services of 1 umbrella and 2 chairs are included with your stay at the beach access along the gulf. Please tell attendant our house name and your name when getting to beach!

Our association only allows passenger vehicles on property—guests are not permitted to have golf carts on property per HOA rules. All motor homes, recreational vehicles, boats and watercraft, trailers and/or commercial vehicles must be stored elsewhere. For a list of storage options please ask and we can provide a list you can contact for details and pricing.

**This home has an exterior camera/monitoring system. Cameras are located in the front and back of the house.

Please note, we will under all circumstances follow our stated cancellation policies. We highly recommended guests purchase travel insurance to cover weather related issues (tropical storms, hurricanes, etc) and illnesses that may arise and interrupt travel.

12 beach towels are provided for guest use. If used must be washed/dried, returned to baskets before check out. $25 will be charged for any missing

Sugar Sand Cottage accommodated my family of 5 beautifully! We had additional room for more family members to fly down and join us! The private house pool was well maintained and such a nice feature for our kids (ages 2, 6, 9).The house was very clean upon arrival, well stocked with kitchen equipment, linens and towels were presented nicely, and furniture and beds were very comfortable! I would highly recommend this property to families with children, it was very accommodating with beach wagons, chairs, toys, stroller, and more! If you don’t mind a decent walk to the beach, this house is excellent!

We stayed over for a multi-generational reunion over Thanksgiving weekend.. Everyone (all ages) were impressed and pleased with the accommodations — especially the pool. 10/10 would stay again.

Great family beach house

My family really enjoyed staying at this property. It was comfy, clean, and updated. The pool was perfect for days that we did not want to walk to the beach with a young child, and for hanging out in the evenings. House was well stocked with necessities. Great Stay at Carpe Diem

We stayed at Carpe Diem mid March and it was lovely. The property was very clean, well-stocked, and relaxing. We had 8 staying and it was quite comfortable. The patios on the back of the home afford an amazing view of the community pond! The community itself was well maintained and quiet. The beach was only a 5 minute walk away! Also, property management was very helpful and check in was a breeze. Overall, we would recommend this property!

Perfect Beach Getaway

Property was gorgeous and had every possible amenity you could think of. Loads of beach and pool toys/floaties, even beach wagons for lugging toys and toddlers to the beach! Hosts were extremely quick to respond to any inquiries and were more than accommodating. Spent a week with my wife, our 2 year old daughter, my brother-in-law, his wife and their 2 young children. And the house was perfect size for all of us. Will definitely visit this property again!

First ever house rental

Alot of thought was put into the choice of this 'first ever' for me...our kids and grands have done similar trips in the past! We wanted private pool; easy, convenient beach access; enough beds and bathrooms for 6 adults and 4 kids...and shade for me > to escape to but still being able to enjoy the kids in the pool. Amazing vacation

This house was everything we could have asked for. With 3 young kids the private heated pool was perfect and came so well equipped with pool toys for the kids. The house itself has a great layout for large families. The kitchen was so well stocked and had everything we could think of for cooking and was kid friendly. The beach towels/chairs/toys/wagon were a huge hit too. We cannot wait to come back again next year and enjoy more time at the Sugar Sand cottage :) Nichole was the perfect host- always quick to respond and answer any questions we had. Thank you so much for making our stay so wonderful and letting us use your cozy beach house to build more family memories!

Excellent Property! Large Private Pool!

This is an excellent property! We have stayed a multiple properties at Destin Pointe over the years, but this one by far has the largest private pool, which was excellent for getting the laps in without additional people in the way. With our group of six, there was plenty of space and we had one room to spare. The house itself has a great layout for large families. The house was very clean! The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed for cooking. WiFi was a little slow most of the time, which made it a little difficult to work away from the office, but most plan to be on vacation instead of connecting to the office anyway. Nichole was a great host and easy to communicate with. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay at your beautiful Sugar Sand Cottage!

Sugar Sand Fall Break

We have stayed at 4 different properties in Destin Point. This was our favorite property so far! Pros: 1 - comfortable beds! So many rentals cheap out on mattresses and bedding. We all agreed that these beds were the best we’ve had. 2 - heated pool! Granted, this is the first rental we’ve had with its own pool, but wouldn’t rent a property without one. 3 - extras! Spice cabinet was full. Likely a combo from the owner and previous guests, but appreciated not have to buy a lot. Beach towels provided. We used our own for the beach and the house towels for the pool. Games and snacks were a nice addition. Cons: Gold carts not allowed. The walk to the beach isn’t terrible, but would be nice if community allowed the use of golf carts. I’d recommend this property and will likely stay here again in the future.

Great property, bad management

Check-in code I recieved on the Vrbo platform was incorrect. When I tried to message/call/do anything I could the day of to reach the host, I couldn't make any contact. Luckily there was a sign outside that had a "for emergencies only" number... after calling 4 times a poor lady in the middle of her workday picked up and answered, informing me that this was not the first time this had happened, and that her number was supposed to be taken down. She promised to call the owner though and inform her what was happening. I received a call from the owner a few minutes later who apologized and opened the door. But then even after that I tried calling back/texting to receive a working door code so we could lock our stuff inside. No answer... we just gave up and chose to leave the house unlocked all weekend. Otherwise, we enjoyed staying at the house.

From Houston to Destin

Great trip! Family vacation for 9: two parents plus 6 kids (one adult, three teens and two elementary age), plus one granny. Interesting feature of the house was that the living area was on the upper floor with bedrooms on the lower. Backyard pool can only be accessed thru master bedroom, otherwise you’d have to go out the front door and around to backyard. Note: Wi-fi didn’t have enough range or speed for our many users. We do have a bunch! Decor was great! Location was great! Having a pool was great, especially if you have a wide range of kids. House was well stocked with bath and kitchen necessities. Beach towels available. Plenty of bedding. Beach chairs and all that, if needed. We had a wonderful time. Very thankful for this cozy, relaxing house to stay in while at beautiful Destin!

Destin Girls Getaway

We had the most amazing stay at Sugar Sand Cottage. We rented bikes, rode them to beach and restaurants close by. The pool was wonderful too! The host is so kind and helpful with instructions for check in and check out. We will be back soon!

Perfect Beach House

Perfect vacation rental. Great pool, quiet neighborhood, easy access to shopping and food. The beach access is great and even offers a tram service to take you there and back. The home is well equipped and basically turn key vacation ready.

GREAT TRIP

We brought 7 kids with us for their Spring Break, ranging in ages from 7-15. Nichole was a great host. She answered all of my questions, day or night. The check-in process was easy and we were even able to check in a little early. There was plenty of pots, pants, utensils, etc for cooking. Since we had a group of 11, we definitely utilized the kitchen a lot. I would definitely book this place again. We had a great time!
