A seaside resort boasting a pebble beach at high tide and a sandy beach at low tide, stretching over a kilometre with free access, Mers-les-Bains, voted the 2nd favourite village of the French in 2024, also offers a coastline of approximately 2.5 km of high chalk cliffs with specific marine flora and fauna, hiking trails, and a large multi-activity green space in the town centre (Mers-les-Bains is a certified Green Holiday Resort). The seafront is lined with villas characteristic of seaside architecture, reflecting numerous influences, including English, Flemish, Art Nouveau, and Floral styles. Over 500 "Belle Époque" villas have been classified as a protected heritage site since 1986, including one listed as a Historic Monument. History. Villa Ernest is an old villa dating back to 1800, retaining its original charm and fully renovated in 2024. It is located 50 metres from the sea in the protected Carré Plage district, right in the city centre. The villa sleeps 8 people and is ideal for families. Please note: the house has two floors, but access is via steps corresponding to one floor.

On the 1st floor: large living room with lounge, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, WC and laundry room with a washing machine and a dryer.
This ground floor opens onto a private terrace where it is possible to enjoy the sun and have your coffee. On the 2nd floor: 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a separate toilet. Bedroom 1: 1 double bed (140x200cm) Bedroom 2: 1 double bed (140x200cm) Bedroom 3: 2 single beds (90x200cm) Bedroom 4: 2 single beds (90x200cm) Please note: - Bed linen and towels are included, and beds are made. - Cleaning is included. However, the accommodation must be left in a clean condition. A fee will be charged if the accommodation is left in an unsatisfactory state of cleanliness or if the rubbish is not emptied at the end of the stay. Internet is available. If the Wi-Fi or TV signal is interrupted or intermittent for any reason, no compensation will be offered to the tenant. This service depends on the internet service provider, therefore the landlord is not responsible for any disruption to the service. This accommodation is non-smoking. Pets are not allowed. Parties, events, or illegal activities are prohibited. The peace and quiet of the area must be respected. Tenants must refrain from making noise between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM. It is forbidden to accommodate more people than the stated capacity. Mers-les-Bains has several car parks, including the Galiote car park, which is completely free. It is located at the entrance to the town and is barely a 5-minute walk from the centre and the Villa Ernest. A free shuttle service is also available during the summer season.
Alternatively, street parking is available, but it is not free.
Once the car is parked, everything is within walking distance.
