If you like LED streetlights Blasting thru a thin shade at night, this place is for you!

The hotel room was fine. Cool modern design. The Murphy bed is cool etc. However, this room is directly above the pool. The constant noise of kids splashing around is charming, and even the cigarette smoke of adults wasn’t that bad. On night two of 30, I learned that the massive LED streetlight-type lights that surround the pool area - PLUS the bright lights inside the pool itself - cannot be turned off. The hotel claims it’s ‘city law’ that they must remain on. I guess that wouldn’t have been so bad if the roller shade had been a blackout shade. Instead, it’s a thin translucent shade that does nothing to block out the 10,000 Lumens of light that illuminate the room like a Walmart parking lot. Also, don’t think you’ll get any help with anything from the hotel. This is a privately owned unit. The answer to any question at the front desk was ‘no.’ That said, the property manager for the unit was lovely, attentive, and helpful.
