Located in the private gated community of Watersound West Beach 'The Tranquil Turtle' will fulfill all your beach vacation dreams with access to the secluded beaches through Deer Lake State Park. This cozy beach cottage is the perfect family vacation with an open concept living, kitchen, and dining areas that lead to a screened in porch featuring comfortable outdoor couches. The dining table inside seats six with four additional seats at the bar. 

The first floor features a master suite with a king size bed and en suite with double sinks and a walk in shower. The first floor also has a half bath and laundry with a full size washer and dryer. Head on up to the second floor, where you will find two additional master suites, both with king size beds and private en suites. One en suite has a shower/tub combo and the other has a glass enclosed shower. There is a queen size bed on the second floor landing with curtains for privacy and a set of twin over queen bunks built into the hall way of this level for extra sleeping arrangements. 

Take the bikes and cruise over to the community pool or head to the boardwalk and enjoy the beautiful walk to Deer Lake State Park where you will walk over the dune lake and sugar white dunes of 30A! Watersound West Beach Community features a community pool, boardwalks, two parks, boardwalk to the beach.

Fantastic Home!

This home was perfect for our family of 5 and even accommodated a sleepover for my 13yo daughter. The location is central to everything and the quiet neighborhood allowed for a retreat from the craziness of the 4th of July on 30a. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a great spot at the beach.

Wonderful stay!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was so well laid out and stocked nicely with everything we needed. It’s super close to the pool and beach access. I highly recommend this home for your WaterSound vacation.

Very nice quaint neighborhood. Family friendly and pool and pool house were wonderful! Walk to beach was a little bit of a haul but worth it having a private beach. We will definitely return!

Loved this property! Would highly recommend!! Clean, close to all the things we love. Boardwalk to beach is a bit long so don’t over pack but overall an amazing property!

Great location and lovely house!

We had an awesome girls trip and loved staying at this property! It was so nice having the 6 seater golf cart to take to restaurants! The beach is a pretty short walk and the house was very spacious and clean. We would all love to stay here again but next time we will bring more trash bags, toilet paper and salt & pepper 😊

Great Beach House

Well equipped, well designed and clean. We've rented various houses in Water Sound West for 10 years and this is one of our favorites! The Golf cart made lugging all our stuff to the beach much easier and the house lived large both giving everyone their own space as well as fostering get family time.

Relaxing and Beautiful

This house is absolutely beautiful. Just as described. Fully equipped with everything you would need. Very clean. Easily fit our group of 4 adults and 4 children. The golf cart was perfect to get around in. We had a very relaxing stay and didn’t want to leave. Would definitely come back!

Great neighborhood but disappointed in beach equipment

This neighborhood is amazing, very safe, very clean. Great beach access and pool area. The tranquil turtle was nice. We enjoyed the back screened in porch and the golf cart. However, I gave this home a 4 out of 5 stars because of the lack of beach equipment provided. We have stayed in the area multiple times in different homes and have always been provided with beach chairs and umbrellas. This would not be such a problem except for we fly in so we are unable to bring our own equipment.

Perfect Family Vacay!!

Property is exactly as listed, impeccably maintained, the grounds and neighborhood was beautiful, the pool perfect, and the boardwalk walk to the beach was a favorite for everyone. We went in the off season and basically had the entire place to ourselves. Golf cart was perfect to get us to local hangout spots, etc. My only request would be maybe a little extra basics like extra trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. Those things are hard to buy in small quantities.

Disappointing

The size and set up of the property is good. My concern was with the cleanliness of the floors, swept but had not been cleaned in some time. Largest concern was with the amount of bugs that we encountered during our stay…with two small children this became very unsettling.

Tranquil Turtle Watersound West

This was our 5th rental in Watersound West. We love the community for its proximity to all 30A has to offer. We chose this rental because of its size as it was just my husband & I this year. The property was very clean and comfortable. I would suggest that simple things like dishwasher pods (only 2) and paper towel (1) be increased depending on the length of stay. Considering the cost of the stay it makes sense to us that we have amount of basic items to get us through the week. We love Watersound West and will continue to rent in the community when we return each year.

Perfection!

This house is absolutely perfect! The owners have thought of EVERY detail to make your stay wonderful! We brought and used our own gear, but there was no need, they had plenty of beach towels, beach gear, wagons, toys, etc, the golf cart was amazing, the bikes were in excellent condition(not always a given), fully stocked kitchen, just an overall beautiful home! The Watersound communities are great, we’ve stayed in these neighborhoods probably 10+ times and will never go anywhere else! Total family atmosphere, private beach, even on Memorial Day week it wasn’t crowded. It was a perfect week for our family, we hope to stay at this wonderful house again, we’ve already tried for another date and it is already booked! Book fast!! Also, 30a escapes was great to work with and even came by and checked on us!

Tranquil Turtle was a great place for our group!

We enjoyed both our home and the Watersound West neighborhood during our vacation week with the family. The bedrooms are spacious, the bathrooms have plenty of room, there is a lot of closet space, we enjoyed the back screened in porch, and the bunk rooms were great and had big closets in the hallway for those sleeping there. The kitchen was very well appointed having all the utensils, pots, pans and a crockpot even. We ate most of our meals at the house, so we appreciated having all the items we needed to make our meals. The golf cart is a huge bonus, very convenient. I loved being able to text with the property management company. The neighborhood is peaceful, the neighborhood pool is large with cabanas, and the private beach access is a nice plus as opposed to a crowded beach. This was a very nice place to rent for our family of 10 ( 5 adults, 3 kids including an infant.)
