Ground Level
Your private resort experience begins outdoors with a stunning pool area featuring a tanning ledge, lounge chairs, umbrellas, pool floats, and a shaded hammock lounge. A dedicated pool bathroom and outdoor hot/cold shower—perfect for a starlit rinse—add to the convenience and charm.

Enjoy complimentary use of bicycles, fishing poles, life jackets, and two double kayaks for exploring the lagoon. Grill your fresh catch on our traditional Belizean drum grill.

For group fun, head to the Caribbean-style game area with Giant Jenga, oversized Connect 4, hook & ring toss, a dart board, and a regulation-size horseshoe pit. Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the covered outdoor workout space, equipped with yoga mats and blocks, free weights, and a foam roller.

Second Level
This level features three beautifully appointed bedrooms:

Bedroom 1: Queen bed with ensuite bath
Bedroom 2: Queen bed
Bedroom 3: Two sets of twin bunk beds (note: beds cannot be pulled together)
The open-concept layout includes a chef’s kitchen, dining area, and a cozy living room with a sofa and large Roku TV. The TV stand cleverly converts into a twin Murphy bed for additional sleeping space.

Step out onto the spacious waterfront veranda, furnished with a dining table, sofa, and chairs—perfect for morning coffee, evening cocktails, and soaking in the view.

Rooftop Deck – Third Level
The rooftop deck offers panoramic sunrise and sunset views, complete with a large sectional sofa, chairs, coffee table, high-top bar, and barstools. Evening lighting adds ambiance, making it an ideal spot for relaxing under the stars.

Important Notes- Please be aware:

• The villa includes multiple staircases and railings.
• The pool area is not gated.
• There is open access to the Placencia Lagoon.
• Due to these features, the property is not suitable for small children without constant supervision, elderly guests, or those with mobility challenges. The villa is not wheelchair accessible.

Our Local Team & Onsite Support
While our team does not live on-site, they are present 2–3 days a week for landscaping, pool care, and exterior maintenance. We respect your privacy and will never enter the villa without permission. During check-in, we’ll let you know exactly when to expect them. The team is always happy to answer questions, share local tips, and ensure your stay is smooth and enjoyable.

About Placencia, Belize
Placencia is a laid-back beach destination on the southern Caribbean coast of Belize. Located at the tip of the Placencia Peninsula, it boasts palm-lined beaches, a vibrant lagoon teeming with manatees, dolphins, and wildlife, and close proximity to the Belize Barrier Reef, ideal for world-class snorkeling and diving.

This culturally rich area is also home to Seine Bight, a Garífuna village known for its traditional drumming, dance, and warm hospitality.

Placencia offers the best of both worlds—adventurous inland activities like zip-lining, hiking, cave tubing, exploring Mayan ruins, and visiting waterfalls, as well as sea-based excursions such as island hopping, sailing, and fishing. Getting Here
All international flights arrive at Belize City Airport (BZE). From there, our full-time concierge can assist in arranging your transfer to the villa. You can choose from:

If you're traveling between May and October, you may have heard about the seasonal sargassum seaweed affecting Caribbean beaches from Cancun to Belize. The good news? Ophelia’s Villa is lagoonfront, so you won’t see, smell, or swim near any sargassum during your stay. Enjoy clean, calm waters with no seaweed worries.

Noise Expectations
This is a home for relaxing and reconnecting with nature—not a party house. Voices carry across the lagoon, so we ask for quiet outdoor volumes and no amplified music after 8 p.m. Please respect our neighbors and enjoy the sounds of the breeze, birds, and jumping fish.

Environmental Sensors
To ensure a safe and healthy space, we use discreet camera-free environmental monitors (no sound or image recording). They track humidity, temperature, smoke, and noise levels. We’ll only notify you if thresholds are exceeded.

Conservation & Local Systems

A/C Use: Please turn off units when not home. Belize has limited power infrastructure, and energy conservation helps prevent outages.

Septic System: Only flush natural waste—no toilet tissue. Covered waste bins are provided and picked up twice a week.
