During the summer season, visit the beach bar and grill, sandwich shop, convenience store, and gift shops.

A well-rested vacation awaits at this charming, family-friendly 1 BR with private Den condo just steps away from the beach! It's well-equipped with everything you and your guests could ever need to spend an unforgettable time together. It features a well-equipped kitchen with all the essentials, central air-conditioning, a private balcony with terrific views and a small, but convenient outdoor dining area to enjoy your meals alfresco, on-site washer/dryer for your laundry needs, comfortable and inviting furniture, and TV with cable.

Things to Know
The building provides complimentary WiFi as a courtesy, but it is not guaranteed.
The indoor pool and large outdoor pool will not accommodate children in diapers. There is an outdoor kiddie pool provided for children in diapers.
Per building management, cannabis is prohibited everywhere on the Golden Sands grounds.
Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

Amazing view with extremely outdated unit

We enjoyed the location, amenities, view and convenience. The master bedroom mattress was unbearably uncomfortable. The unit itself is not maintained or updated.

Golden Sands

We had a nice trip with our gorgeous view and outside bar, pool and games. These were nice features that were exclusive to the Golden Sands guests. The wifi was horrible and the elevator service was poor. The wait was ridiculous. I took the stairs several times and beat my family to our room.Ovwrall. the trip was nice. The room was not the cleanest but acceptable.

Great view-Great location!

I loved the view from the pictures on this listing, and it did not disappoint! The sunrises were amazing, and you could enjoy them right from the master bedroom. The sunsets were visible on the other side of the condo. The building is very nice and the tiki bar was a happening spot. The location of this building seems to be in the more family friendly area of Ocean City. The kitchen had everything we needed, and I was pleased by the overall condition of the condo. I would suggest the owner add some black out curtains for the master bedroom, so you can choose whether or not you want to see that sunrise!

Cute But No WiFi

Really cute and clean place. Great view and love the Tiki bar food and drinks. No WiFi. A prior reviewer had posted this and I thought it must not be true but it is. The building WiFi does not make it into this unit so if you need that this place will not work for you. Also the shower has almost no water pressure. Other than those things this was a nicely decorated place with tile floors and great views, access to the patio from the master bedroom and we had a great stay.

The building WiFi does reach this room but can be spotty at busy times. The unit will receive an individual router and WiFi later this off-season. The shower pressure is sufficient, just not when the washing machine or dishwasher is running simultaneously. Good stay, modest property

The property overall seemed a bit old. Our unit was fine, especially ocean view, straight down to the surf from pleasant balcony. Furnishings were adequate but not excellent. By modern standards, the TV was a bit small.The kitchen was sparsely furnished - for example, no coffee mugs (only small glass cups), no measuring cups, typical few and dull knives, etc. Limited counter space. Generally, everything was OK but definitely not exceptional or upscale. We didn't expect that, but still ...

First time experience

Okay It was my first time using this site and was challenging because I didnt follow the instructions properly. However the property management were extremely friendly and helpful. Once I figured out everything it was awesome. Even though the rain was the culprit for Saturday and the fire alarm causing every one to vacate who building going down 9 flights of stairs. It was still okay for me. My daughter seem to like it and stayed on the balcony or beach. She is easy to please. I will plan my next trip somewhere else with my wife now.

Nice unit, but clean up could’ve been better

This was a nice place for a family of 4. The ocean was gorgeous. All of the appliances worked well and the kitchen was pretty well equipped. When we arrived there were banners over the toilet seats that said “sanitized.” My son went to use the bathroom and under the seat was definitely not cleaned. Later when we were getting plates, cups and silverware out, I noticed that the dishes (several!) were put away dirty with remnants of food still on them. I voiced my complaint and suggested they do a better job cleaning for guests. Aside from the bathrooms not being cleaned and dirty dishes in the cabinets, it was a very nice unit. I just wish I didn’t have to take the time to clean everything myself.

If you enjoy a good nights sleep, DONT STAY HERE

It’s listed as a 3 bed unit. There are 2 queens (one has a VERY hard mattress) then the “sleeper” sofa. It’s unconscionable to market that sofa as a sleeping option. It’s a paper thin mattress so you feel every single piece of metal below. The AC unit is incredibly loud and shares a wall with a bedroom. It’s like a jet engine every time it turns on. And kept waking us up. Also they were not able to resolve the Wi-Fi issue on the first day. We left 2 days early because no one was getting any sleep. When I reached out about it, they said it was too late to do anything about it. No compensation for the false advertisement. The place is old and dated, but at least they should be updating pillows and mattresses

AC doesn’t work, owner never responded

Terrible experience, checked in Monday around 6pm, condo was set to 75 degrees. We turned the AC to 70 and left for a few hours. When we returned Monday evening around 11pm, the temperature was 78 degrees. Tuesday AM, we woke up and the condo was 80 degrees, all six of us were very uncomfortable and couldn’t sleep. We messages maintenance Tuesday AM at 8:30am, were told it was being worked on. I called Tuesday afternoon to escalate, no one came. Temp hovered between 80-82 in the unit. I called Wednesday, again no eta or update just that someone would show up. At this point, my family is miserable. Repairman arrived around 3pm, said compressor was broken and that we should inquire with vacasa for alternatives. I called vacasa to see if we could move rooms, was told nothing could be done. Keep in mind room was 82 degrees still with a 7,6,4 and 15 month old. I asked the rep Wednesday if they could guarantee the air be fixed Thursday, no response. Thursday AM, repair man arrives again. Says needs a new motor and will be back later. I call vacasa at 4:30pm, was told they were “just going to call me”. The owner was unresponsive and they were unable to fix the AC. So they offered to move us to another building. The new unit was fine but we were told this at 5pm and needed to pack everything for a family of 6 and move 12 streets down. This wasted our entire Thursday evening after we already were uncomfortable for several days without being properly informed. We were forced to stay in horrible conditions with no apologies or other solutions. I don’t think many people would stay in a unit as long as we did in those conditions.

Great location, basic accommodations

The Golden Sands is a wonderful location! So much to do. The tiki bar has good food and drinks. So many amenities! The room is ok. The keys were so difficult to open/lock the door. Took at least 5 minutes each time. No iron or iron board. AC didn’t work great. Got up to 80 during day but did cool off overnight. Not the most modern room, but the price was right. Clean and functioning. Would consider staying again.

Great Accommodation with a view

The view from the unit is very nice, we get the sunrise from the master bedroom and the balcony and the sunset in the other room or front doors. The unit is well stocked and provides plenty of space for a family of 4. Really enjoyed the layout of the units. Looking forward to going back.

Golden Sands has a nice blend of atmosphere for families

The condo was clean and the view from the balcony and bedroom were great. The blankets provided on the couch were dirty, as well as the pillows. We always bring our own though because we know that they only clean the sheets in between guests. Which I've never understood. Be aware that the furniture is very uncomfortable and if you have more than 3 people, there will not be adequate space to hang out and have family time in the evenings. The pull out couch really isn't an option to sleep on because it is so uncomfortable. You can feel every spring and bar. Its not even a comfortable couch to sit on, but since the only other chair in the living space is a wood chair, you don't have much of a choice. If you like soft, comfy beds....these are not for you. Maybe if you are young, you will not mind, but the bed killed my back and made it very difficult to sleep well. Also be aware that the condo is missing some useful items, such as a pizza cutter, coffee cups, trash cans in the bedrooms. There she very basic things available, which is good enough. We have been staying in condos in north carolina for years and we were just used to everything being available to you as well as little extra things like games to make the stay even better. Its the little things that count I guess. There are no extras here, just so you know before you pack. The furniture on the balcony is wonderful. Also, the staff at the Golden Sands is beyond great. Everywhere we went, they were so friendly and helpful. They were always present wherever you went on the grounds, without being too present. The indoor pool was very nice and warm. The outdoor pool was freezing and could only go in when the sun was directly on it. The tiki bar has amazing food and the whole atmosphere was very cool with the patio. Overall, it was a good stay. Not a quiet beach experience, but a good blend for families.
