The Golden Sands, located in Ocean City, offers everything a vacationer could want without needing to leave the building complex. Enjoy the beach, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis, oceanfront volleyball, and game and exercise rooms! During the summer season, visit the beach bar and grill, sandwich shop, convenience store, and gift shops.

Wake up every single day to the unmistakable sound of the crashing waves at this sunny beach condo! It has everything you and your guests could ever need to spend a carefree and restful vacation. It features a well-equipped kitchen with all the essentials, central air-conditioning, a private balcony overlooking the beach and sports courts, on-site washer/dryer for your laundry needs, comfortable and inviting furniture, and TV with cable.

Things to Know
The building provides complimentary WiFi as a courtesy, but it is not guaranteed.
The indoor pool will be closed beginning Monday, March 2, 2026 through Friday, March 14, 2026 for our annual maintenance. The pool will reopen on Saturday, March 15, 2026.
The indoor pool and large outdoor pool will not accommodate children in diapers. There is an outdoor kiddie pool provided for children in diapers.
Per building management, cannabis is prohibited everywhere on the Golden Sands grounds.
Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Place was very clean. Directions great. Loved parking underneath.I would suggest that a small roll of toilet paper would be a good idea to have to face on hand or maybe let us know before hand what we need to bring that is essential. There was body was , shampoo and conditioner which was great but no hair dryer. No paper towels or dish detergent. I’m just saying a small amount of these things would be a plus, But if that is not something you could do than let the renter know that those essentials are necessary to bring with them

The room is very well kept! We’ve stayed 2 years in a row. 3rd floor is perfect during peak season because the elevators get congested and it’s not too high to use the steps, yet high enough from noise on patio. Highly recommend!

Great view of the ocean!

The view was spectacular but plan on bringing cleaning supplies. The couch is filthy, the rug is stained and didnt smell to good and the kitchen was dirty as well. No outlets that were easy to get to in the bedroom. Overall i would not stay there again!

This place is just fine.

We paid a very low rate to stay here for two days off season, and while it wasn't perfect, it was just fine! Great location, great view, great price, but the property itself is unremarkable / mediocre at best. That said, if you need to get away on a budget (as we did), it's just fine.

Never again….

This condo is in such disrepair I wouldn’t know where to begin. It has huge potential,if the owner spent a little bit of money and TLC. Broken ,furniture,matted dirty carpets, rusted old shower curtains, disgusting pillows, dirty couches and chair. To name a few Great location at Golden sands. But not worth it!

Clean unit needs updating

Unit was basic and in desperate need of updating, but was very clean. Front right stove burner does not work. Stopper in tub also does not work. Golden Sands itself has amenities that make the stay worthwhile.

Preseason Getaway

The condo has a fabulous view of ocean. Easy to find. Parking was easy in off season, seems like it would crowded and a pain if you had two cars. Location is close to shopping and some fun restaurants. It was super quiet and not very busy which was really nice. Need to get a Keurig for guests instead of coffee pot as Keurig pods are easier to pack. We found a few lovely coffee spots! Vascasa keeps you updated and are on site to help you find the lock box for key packet. If they weren't there we would of had more trouble. Will return, thank you for a much needed sister getaway!

Nice ocean view but…

This unit has NO internet (the building prided one does not “reach” the unit. The condo really needs updates. The carpet in the bedroom is filthy and blanket stained, the bathroom curtain and rod are falling apart. The entrance door needs repair as well as loose base boards. For those wishing to bake there are seven frying pans ( no spatula!) and no baking sheet. No hair dryer either. The living room sofa and chair were very dirty and Vacasa agreed to cleaning it taking from our use of them 24 hours. Except for the sofa cleaning Vacasa was not responding to our concerns. Blinds repairs were done the day prior to our departure almost. I will not return to this condo if not updated/ cleaned.

Nice Place with Fast Responses with Management

Me and my girlfriend stayed here from June 5th to June 12th. When we first arrived, there was sand on the couch, black mold in the vents, a strand of hair on top of the TV set, and the handle to the refrigerator was broken. A day after I notified management about this, they sent people early the next day and cleaned the condo again. I was still a little concerned about the black mold in the vents because they weren’t able to clean out all of the mold out of the vents, but they cleaned most of it. They need to put in new vent covers if they haven’t already done so. Despite all of this, we were very pleased with the fast response of this situation. Another downfall of this condo is the Wi-Fi. The only Wi-Fi you can get in the condo is the guest Wi-Fi, which doesn’t work. The owner needs to invest in putting Wi-Fi in the condo. The condo could use some updates. But if you only care about having the amazing beachfront view to wake up to every morning, they you’re good. The game room on the top floor needs improvement. The games were outdated and there were no cue sticks for the pool tables. To summarize our stay, I would rate this condo 3.5 out of 5 stars. This condo just needs more attention with cleaning and private Wi-Fi. Other that, we enjoyed our stay at Golden Sands.

Golden Sands is back! This unit needs some updates

Golden Sands staff and mgmt was great! All stores were open with friendly staff. There was a lifeguard on duty who was great. This particular unit was fine for 4 of us- 2 adults, 2 small kids. The living room couch, chair and bedroom carpet need to be replaced- along with coffee maker, toaster and stove. Everything worked but it needs a facelift. The 2 beds were very comfortable so for me, a major plus! All in all I give the unit a 7/10. Could use cosmetic improvements but overall we had a great stay.

A Great Stay by the Ocean

The unit was very clean. The ocean view was great! The check in and check out process was super-easy. Loved that the beds were already made for us and that there were many towels for us to use.

Disappointed

The room was in need of a major overhaul - it was probably very nice 40 years ago, but not in 2022. Lighting fixtures did not work; we had to work lights thru pull chains on the fans rather than thru wall switches. The internet connections were abysmal - I spent much more time trying to get on the internet than I spent actually on it and never spent more than 15 minutes on it without losing the connection, even tho I used the private connection. Unfortunately the Vacasa manager was not able to anything to correct the situation. Additionally, there were no USB ports in the room. Not happy with the accommodations and I won’t be staying at the Golden Sands or booking thru Vacasa again. I’m not sure how I started out at Vrbo and wound up with Vacasa, but I will make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Nice unit

The unit looked exactly as it appeared online. We liked the ocean view. There was candle wax on the dresser/ floor and 2 of the lights were not working. Once reported to the property manager, they sent someone to fix the lights.
