Had an appliance issue pretty early in the stay which was taken care of in a timly manner. Matt was very responsive and very helpful. I would stay again. If your a dog person then you will love the house as it has characteristics of a dog owners home. You have to stay to see what I mean.
Location was great and it allowed us to bring our dogs. The house itself was not. Felt dirty as soon as we arrived. One of the beds had a huge stain on the sheet. We were told we could find a clean sheet in the closet, but it didn’t fit well. The ceiling plaster was chipping away and crumbling. The freezer door wouldn’t stay closed. Some of the burners on the range only worked part of the time. When a cockroach appeared coming out of the recliner, we knew we were in for a long week. Disappointed with the condition of the house.
My sisters and I enjoyed our first trip to Oak Island. The home was beautiful and the view of the ocean from the front deck, while a little limited by the next row of houses was a wonderful! Just a very short walk to the beach.
This was a great experience, check in was so easy, place was clean! They supplied most if not all of your basic necessities! There was an outdoor shower, beach equipment( chairs, towel, sandboxes, a wagon). For a third row house, you had an ocean view from the dinning table, great for drinking coffee! The location was awesome, so close to the beach access! The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars from me, the primary bedroom is in need of a serious upgrade to the mattress, or maybe a mattress topper! My husband and I woke up sore most of the vacation, other than that no complaints!

Ok
The house some serious upgrades for the price needs new or gently used furniture in den area. Springs are completely shot in couch and cushions on the back are ripped with stuffing coming out. Walls buckled and pieced together. The master bay is very tiny. Needs too much work to be done at that price.

Filthy and Unsafe
This house is located in a great area. However it was filthy! Dirty linens and wasn’t even made. I had to get the laundry so we could have clean beds. Floors weren’t swept. The lust goes on with this. It was so uncomfortable because it was so dirty. There are wires exposed in the bottom where it is a sitting area. Also, open electrical on the wall. And the house shook when we walked. Kids included. Amenities included a coffee pot when it was actually an old Kerig. I had no pods and I suspected mold in the Kerig since that is known to happen in these. Had to go an hour to buy a coffee pot so list vacation time.
Great location, close to pier/beach access. Matt quick to respond. The oven has been updated! The home is older which gives it some quirks, overall would stay again.
This is a nice property in a great location. Priced very well. Needs a few updates but very comfortable. Be sure to walk down to the 19th Street boardwalk over Davis Canal... stunning, especially at sunset. Easy walk to the beach access and pier.
Very nice house. Very well stocked. The new stove will be a wecome adition.

Great location! The door lock didn’t work (wrong code?), the stove had several burners out, and there were dirty dishes put away as clean. Older house but otherwise clean.
This property was fine for our purpose. Even though the property is dated and basic, it was not too far from the beach access and fairly close to local establishments (grocery stores and restaurants).
Well maintained and fully equipped property that is walking distance from the beach and pier! It was perfect and we enjoyed our stay! I can’t forget to mention the awesome balcony that was perfect for star gazing and relaxing while listening to the waves crash!
Great location for 2-6 people (3 bedrooms/2bath) and dogs with easy access to the beach, grocery stores, and shops. Fantastic deck to greet the morning sun and relax and look at the stars at night. Host included linens and towels which was a big plus. So grateful to find an affordable house that is walking distance to the beach that allows pets.
Great location and well maintained property. Nice deck. The kitchen was well stocked. The door was stuck on the outside shower. Other than that, great stay!
We loved our long weekend stay. You cannot beat the location. Very close to both beach accesses. The house was quaint and had everything we needed! Matt was a wonderful host and we hope to come back soon!

Lacking cleanliness
We really loved the location of this property. The property needs many updates but I could over look that if the house was clean. Hair on the sheets, food and such on the carpets. The vinyl floors were very dirty. The owners response was he would tell the cleaners but no one came to fix the problem.
The location is perfect, it’s quiet and beautiful area! The house was a good size for our small family!
