About this property
Yurt on the Clark Fork River
Beautiful, unique Yurt right on the Clark Fork River and sits on 5 acres. The location is ideal for all-season recreation near the little town of Superior in beautiful Western Montana. There are all kinds of wildlife in the area. We have deer that visit the property regularly, even see elk and moose occasionally, a variety of birds (including hummingbirds), cute little chipmunks, and squirrels.
It's a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and to take in all the natural beauty that our Big Sky Country has to offer. It is a perfect place to unplug, relax, and recharge. This 30' diameter Yurt was built with an Arctic Winter insulation package, so it is designed to be cozy warm in the winter and nice and cool in the summer. The Yurt is fully equipped, sleeps 6 comfortably, has AC/Heat, hot water, nice full kitchen, and breathtaking views. It consists of an open living/kitchen great room, futon folds out for sleeping/relaxing, loft area with queen bed, one bedroom with queen bed, one bathroom with two sinks and a walk-in shower, and a spacious deck with patio furniture. Just off the deck is an outside BBQ, trash can, picnic table, propane fire pit with seating, fun outside games, seating down by the river, and the Clark Fork River is just steps away.
Explore the Clark Fork River or other local streams and rivers, National Bison Range, Lolo National Forest, local mountain lakes, and countless trails. There is unlimited fishing, floating, river rafting, hiking/biking, hunting, skiing, wildlife viewing, and many other adventure opportunities in the area. Here are a few:
If you love to ski and/or snowboard, check out the "Mineral County Ski & Snowboard Lookout Pass Bus Schedule", www.mcrecclub.org/ski-bus. The bus is about 1.4 miles from the Yurt and is free to ride.
If you love to snow machine, park and ride HooDoo Pass.
If you love to golf, check out "Trestle Creek Golf Course", www.https://www.trestlecreekgolf.com/. It's about 14.6 miles from the Yurt.

Here’s a little background on how this Yurt project came to be:
We started Spotted Wing Vacation Rentals, LLC in 2020 to remember and honor our beautiful little girl, Kasee, who is now up in heaven. We called her our little Ladybug because she loved these pretty little bugs and always wanted to dress up as one at Halloween. Kasee’s favorite spot in the whole world was down on the beach of the Clark Fork River near this property in Superior, MT.
We wanted to provide a positive, memorable experience for everyone that stays here, and, love it as much as she did and as we do. This project has been a lot of fun and has really been a labor of love for us. We hope you really enjoy staying here!

Why they chose this property
Why a Yurt, you may ask? We wanted to build and share a unique and fun rental opportunity that provides a cozy, relaxing, and enjoyable experience for everyone. We wanted to build it with all the comfort and amenities of a “normal” home, but also have the unique “Yurt” experience….how cool is that?
What makes this property unique
It's a Yurt! Also, this location, and the surrounding area, allow people to see all of the neat things that western Montana has to offer – beautiful mountains, rivers & streams, wildlife, friendly people, and countless outdoor activities to enjoy year-round. Or, you can just unplug and have a peaceful, relaxing time hanging out inside the yurt or out on the deck watching the river go by.
