This charming 3 bedroom/2 bath Craftsman home is located in the heart of Old Town Georgetown just one block from Southwestern University - Texas' oldest University - and just an easy stroll to the award winning "most beautiful town square in Texas!" It is perfect for a family/friends getaway! Each room is uniquely appointed with antique beds and comfortable/cozy comforters, blankets, and pillows. Enjoy quaint Old Town Georgetown and nearby local upscale shopping and dining. A splash pad and small neighborhood parks are within walking distance for your children's entertainment. Visit students at Southwestern University or step-out for an evening to partake in its nationally acclaimed fine arts events or NCAA Division III athletics. This 1,300 sq. ft. home allows ample space to entertain family/friends, hang-out, BBQ and have fun in the front or backyards. When In season, an adjacent vegetable garden is available to our guest to sit and enjoy the sounds of a verdant space or pick some herbs or vegetables to enhance one of your meals. Use the provided bicycles to ride around Old Town and the SU campus, or just relax on the front porch swing with a Nespresso coffee or a local brew from our "Craft Beer Exchange". The backyard is fenced and completely shaded by big, beautiful pecan trees and has a sitting area with a fire pit. The back deck has a patio table with 4 chairs and sun umbrella. If you want to BBQ, there's a concrete pad equipped with 2 BBQ pits (wood/charcoal and propane), complete with all the needed fire-starting, cooking utensils and outdoor dining ware. Bragging rights await the victors of a variety of games that are provided - cards, dominoes, Monopoly, UNO - or outside, play horseshoes, cornhole or toss washers in the yard. The kitchen (electric), dining room, and living room are all ready for your enjoyment. No matter your plans and preferences, this home is the best place to enjoy Georgetown!

MUSE TRIP

We went to visit our son @ Southwestern University as well as take in some UT sporting events and a MUSE rock show! The home was exactly as it is on Vrbo. We has my son and his roommates over for a night around the fire and also cooked burgers for them a different night. The backyard is very cozy as was the front porch for morning coffee or a glass of wine. Will definitely try to stay here again when visiting our son!

Elma and I raised all of our children in this neighborhood and they even played on the Pine Street Cottage property growing up with the families who lived there. This is an extension of our home and we want it to feel like home for you also.

Why they chose this property

We have always loved this historic property and finally got our chance to own it in December of 2020 thanks to a very gracious neighbor who wanted to "keep it in the neighborhood family." Thank you, Donnie...the "Donnette Room" is named after her! After a year of restoring it with a goal of enhancing its originality, it is now available to you with it's built-in cabinets, desk/secretary, and a converted ironing board/desk. It has the original wood flooring and is a comfortable space for family and friends who want to hang out, cook or grill meals, or walk to close-by restaurants or the city's quaint square.
