About this property

Farmette stay

Enjoy the entire walkout basement of this country home, with two bedrooms. A king size bed in one room, and a queen and bunk bed in the other room. It has a kitchen and laundry room, a grill and a hot tub on the back patio as well as a fire pit in the yard. We are centrally located under an hour from 8 (free!) state parks, 18 golf courses with 15 of them under 45 minutes and 4 less than 30 minutes away!
The space
Nice country setting on 20 acres, away from the crowds of the city, located about an hour and a half from Nashville and Chattanooga, an hour and fifteen minutes from Knoxville. We're about 20 minutes from Sparta or Crossville as well as interstate 40. Grill out overlooking a field with many fruit trees and a greenhouse. Enjoy cooking marshmallows over the fire in the fire pit with your family or friends. You have a small kitchen with all utensils and spices if you want to cook.
NO DOGS PLEASE, it's an incredible amount of work to get the hair removed from the furniture and bedding, plus some people are allergic to animals, so we want to keep our home comfortable for them as well! We take pride in keeping our place very clean for our guests.

We do have Wi-Fi . We have a smart TV, so Netflix along with many other options are available. We have a blue ray player in the living room, and a DVD player in the main bedroom, with quite a few videos available.

Wonderful getaway

Relaxing and beautiful location!

Comfortable bed, spacious yet cozy, lots of little amenities! VERY clean and very thoughtfully decorated, rural but only 15 minutes to everything you need! We had an incredibly relaxing weekend! Hosts were kind and hospitable!

Relaxing Vacation

I highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a very relaxing and comfortable place where you can enjoy beautiful scenery with a lot of near by State parks to visit as well. The family is an added bonus, they are a true blessing. If you get the chance this place is a must if you are looking for a relaxing wonderful vacation spot in Tennessee!!

A little getaway.

The place was wonderful. Everything was clean and very welcoming. It had a nice view and good place for a camp fire. The host greeted us when we got there and was very friendly. Over all I would definitely recommend this for a place to stay while in Tennessee.

Weekend Move

The accommodations were perfect and the hot tub was an added plus. I moved my son to Crossville that weekend and it was nice to have a place to unwind and feel right at home.

Quiet beautiful stay

We were impressed with our stay at your place. It was a beautiful view with a quiet countryside. I was impressed with all that was provided to us in the kitchen and such. The only thing I wished we had time to do was try out the hot tub. I hope to try it out the next time we stay. We will definitely be back to enjoy this property again.

Birthday Weekend

This was the best spot. We had a great weekend in this area. The house was very clean and had all we needed. The host are so sweet and gave us some corn and squash out of the garden. They are great people!! Would recommend to everyone.

Wonderful farm setting

The wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Ray and Toktak were wonderful host. The master bed was extremely comfortable. Fully equipped and very comfortable. A hideaway setting with farm animals on the property which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our only regret is that our stay was too short. Will return the good lord willing. Peace and Tranquility

WOW! I did not realize just how much noise I expose myself to day in and day out. It was so refreshing to spend a day alone at this quiet getaway spot. Then, my friend joined me for another couple of days and we loved sitting around catching up. The host family was wonderful. So friendly and informative. We found a nice Mexican restaurant about 5 miles away and found a Pizzaria in the nearby town. Thank you for opening your home to us!

Wonderful place!

If you are looking to get away to a beautiful, quiet, relaxing place in the countryside, look no further you won’t find a place better than this one! The host are the nicest people you will ever meet, the place was very clean and stocked with every thing you will need for a great stay! Lots of outdoor things to do hiking, kayaking, or just sightseeing in some of the nearby state parks! Several nice restaurants within 30 minutes if you don’t feel like cooking! Or better yet ask miss T to cook you a Thai dinner it’s wonderful, then sit out by the campfire at night and roast marshmallows! I promise you want be disappointed! I will definitely be going back with my family to stay with my new found friends!

Loved our stay. Loved the property, Loved the hosts. Close to old Gray Amphitheater , it was amazing stay. My son was visiting with his family I wanted it to be special, it was more then that. Place was clean ,immaculate . Wonderful family and we even had a thai meal made for us by Tokak Newhart . My gosh it's worth just staying for the Wonderful meal. Privacy , when appropriate great interactions when it was also appropriate. Wi fi was good enough to send emails , plenty movies to watch as we had family movie night to end the long day. Please support this jewel and the hosts! That is if perfect is what your after!

AMAZING Farmette in the country

Our rating would be 10 STARS! This AMAZING "Farmette " is neat, clean and everthing you would expect a small farm to be. We were greeted by the owners Ray & Toktak. Check-in was a breeze. Everythng was exactly as described and extremely clean. We visited a number of wonderful state parks with beautiful fall foliage, waterfalls & hiking trails. Definitely recommend Rock Island State Park for waterfalls! After a long day a soak in the hot tub felt wonderful. Ray & Toktak did suggest a wide aray of other attractions in the area. This experience was AMAZING! The best part, we've made new lifelong friends! Looking forward to a return visit.

Relaxing Farmette Stay

My husband and I had the best experience at Farmette Stay. Nice hosts who responded quickly. Kitchen with all the cookware basics—just bring the groceries. Warm heater, and ceiling fans in each room. 2 cozy bedrooms with soft linens. I had to work remotely, great Wi-Fi connection. Incredible hot tub in an already relaxing setting. It is a nice escape from the city. A bit off the beaten path, but we were comforted by their security cameras and the hosts’ response rate in general (we did not encounter any concerns). We will definitely come back as a couple, but I have already booked a girls trip so my close friends can enjoy this beautiful setting. Recommend highly!

Excellent home away from home

When I couldn't get the address to come up on Google maps (it helps if you spell the street correct), Ray met me at Walmart and I was able to follow him to the property. When I arrived (with a fully loaded car) Ray, Toktak and their kids helped me unload, which was a blessing. It was very clean, and they were very accommodating. Loved seeing the deer in the field and the chickens roaming around. Toktak made us some delicious Thai food which gave my sis and I 3 meals. Anytime I had a question, they were very responsive. We were not there on a pleasure trip so it was a nice "home away from home" to come back to after 2 1/2 long grueling weeks of hard work. Not sure if I have to make another trip back but if I do I would definitely stay again. Thank you all for a lovely stay! Karen Reed

Why they chose this property

It's out in the country but located within twenty minutes to two smaller cities, Crossville and Sparta. Cookeville is located about 40 minutes away, and you can get just about anything you could want there.
