Welcome to our lovely old, quaint, spacious home in a safe, historic neighborhood in Rochester, New York. We are right across the street from the famous Highland park. We are walking distance from the University of Rochester, College Town and the hospitals. Very close to restaurants, shops, theaters, and the Strong National Museum of Play, one of the greatest places to visit at any age.

Perfect for a long weekend retreat!

This older house is comfortable, clean, and spacious for four adults. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and a great location close to everything downtown, a short walk and you are in Highland Park. It was perfect for our visit to the area!

This is our second stay and the house was great! There were new towels and we really appreciated the AC. My kid loves the upstairs room and the location across the street from Highland park is great for walks after work and during the day.

Property seemed unready for visitors when we arrived. The doorknob to the second entryway door fell off when going to use it. There was a mop plopped over in the dining room and the shampoo/conditioner/body wash containers in the bathrooms were empty. The coffee maker was greasy, and toaster oven was greasy and full of burnt crumbs. There were not adequate paper products to last the week. We had to purchase toilet paper and dishwasher detergent. The host did promptly supply refills for the shampoo, conditioner and body wash.The bedding was ridiculous. each bed had a fitted sheet and an undersized comforter that barely hung over the edges of the bed. Pillows were terrible. The beds themselves were comfortable. The host did provide additional pillows when notified. It is a smaller, old house, classic to the neighborhood. But, in general, the furnishings were not setup for a group of six people. The living room was missing a coffee table and adequate chairs for everyone to gather without moving dining room chairs into the room. No chairs were provided on the nice porch. There was not adequate cookware to prepare a typical dinner. There wasn't a spatula for morning eggs and the corkscrew, a VRBO necessity, was broken. The washer and dryer in the cellar were in good condition and worked well, but the cellar was full of litter that could have easily been picked up in preparation for guests.

Fine location between historic Mt Hope cemetery and Highland Park, just up from the EllwangerBarry neighborhood. Sole wish: it was VERY cold, and I couldn’t find any heat

Lovely Home

This home is full of character! All the living spaces are so welcoming and clean. We were much more comfortable here, compared to staying in a hotel.
