About this property
Waterfront retreat, year round fishing, boating, wine tasting. 1 hr from SF!
Welcome to the Georgiana Slough - a gorgeous, slow-moving river that offers swimming, fishing, boating. Visit dozens of local wineries, then fish and swim directly from our waterfront deck. Or relax and enjoy a view of Mount Diablo as the sun fades behind the hills.
The River House is one-of-a-kind. This is the only house in the area that is built right on the water. Watch fish jumping, otters and beavers. We are surrounded by farms, and have a walking trail just at the end of our yard.
The River House offers beautiful views of the central valley, the diablo range, and surrounding farmland. And of course, waterfront access to the river. The huge deck sits right over the water. Fish for bass, catfish, or salmon directly from the house while relaxing with a book.
As soon as you arrive, you will feel you are in another world.
**
You have the main house, the decks, and the lawn. we live on the west end of the propery, which includes the area past the lawn and the garage. We are respectful of your privacy but we do live there so you may see us around.
You have access to the dock and water, but dock use is not exclusive. The river is public so boats and other users come by.

Why they chose this property
There are other properties that are both easily accessible by road, are built directly on the water, and are close to the Bay Area and Sacramento. Ths is the only one!
What makes this property unique
We are close to both Lodi and Clarksburg wine areas. During the winter and spring the area is a bird migration point, with thousands of birds passing through every day. We get sandhill cranes, geese, ducks, egrets, heron, and many many more. We also get marine mammals, including river otters, beaver, and sea lions! ** Mid-week nature boost: Most people come on the weekends, but if you are able to arrange your trip to be here on Monday-Thursday you will see more birds and wildlife. Most of the river users and boaters come on the weekends, and the weekdays are extra-quiet. It's still great all the time, though!
