The cabin was great. Well stocked with full kitchen accessories, washer dryer, jacuzzi, towels, etc. Host was quick to communicate with us about any questions. Location was great, not far from local attractions. Plenty to do and see in the area. Very cozy and peaceful just like the name. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the bedding situation. The fitted sheets did not fit the downstairs mattress appropriately and kept coming off. They were too small for the mattress. Host should definitely upgrade the sheet quality and get some deep pocketed sheets to fit the mattress. We ended up just laying the flat sheet over the bed and tucking it in and using our own blankets to cover up with. Otherwise we were sleeping directly on the mattress cover despite our best efforts. The pillows were also incredibly thick and firm. The spares in the trunk were pancake thin.

Thanks for your review, we every effort to accommodate our guest in every situation, however we do supply deep pocket linen. There could have been a mixup with housekeeping, we totally sorry for that. If you would have contacted us, we surely would have corrected that situation quickly. As reference to the pillows, we have provided multiple choices on pillows, we will also add the middle area of pillows to our cabin, thanks for bringing that to our attention. Again we take our guest very serious on any concerns that arise. God Bless and thanks for the review.

We loved this peaceful private cabin. There were no occupants of the two cabins next to us. The cabin is clean and comfortable. Would stay again if we were to ever come back to the Great Smokey Mountains. Great Vacation. Definitely recommend.

Thanks Eric, these people are awesome guest, we had a issue in upstairs bathroom and it flooded bottom bathroom. They cleaned up the mess for us. And we're very understanding. Now we have new upstairs bathroom, all new and these guest are the best. God was good to us to have such “Christian People”.
The photos do not do the beauty of this cabin enough justice! The cabin is very well maintained and clean. We were impressed by all the little details. Down to the charging flash lights to the night lights in every room, to the decor, and even the kitchen light made from an antique metal strainer. The hot tub was so relaxing and also well maintained and clean. We found the cabin to be very quiet and although neighbors are near by, you hardly noticed them or anyone else! We would stay again!
The “Name” says it all.”A Peaceful Retreat” was built on the dream that people would feel like our cabin would be that. A place to getaway and enjoy Gods handiwork firsthand. Thanks Mitch
This is a cute little cabin. It is so nicely decorated . Very conveniently located near wears valley and Townsend. Perfect for a couple. We never used the second bedroom but i did take a peak.

About the host

“A Peaceful Place To Visit” The great Smokey Mountains National Park in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, is a peaceful place to visit. Looking through the eyes of nature the enjoyment and serenity of the forest is like a journey through space before entering the sacred gates of heaven. Blue hazy smoke drifts lazily over the mountain tops like a blanket protecting a sleepy town. Towards the east, slowly peeking over the horizon, the rising sun views the waking park and unfolds like a majestic answer to an artist’s dream. Vividly rushing creeks meander along winding mountain roads to form roaring waterfalls that seem to perish like the ends of the earth. Strolling through lush green forest, sweet chirping sounds float like a choir of angels singing.
This is proof that there is an almighty God and he does give you the desires of your heart. This was a paper I wrote in college in 1991, before we ever thought it was possible to achieve our dream of owning property. Pam & Ted Ponville
Why they chose this property
We came to the Great Smoky Mountains in 1977 for our honeymoon and fell in love with the area. Most of our family vacations were spent in this area. We always talked and dreamed of owning a log cabin one day and that dream became a reality.
What makes this property unique
Enjoying shopping for local crafts, outlet malls, antiques, & flea markets in the area. Plan a day to go ice skating at Ober in nearby Gatlinburg. We love to picnic in Cades Cove while enjoying nature & wildlife.
