We really enjoyed our stay! The property was clean, well appointed, and comfortable, with cozy decor that made it feel warm and welcoming. A lovely place to relax and feel at home. The sauna was an added luxury. Would happily recommend!

Located in the quaint and quiet Quidi Village, this was a cozy stay. Close to the wharf, QV brewery and not far from St. John's. Fireplace is a nice touch on rainy days, as is the sauna.

Ideal location for St Johns visit, walking distance from Signal Hill and several walking trails. The house is perfect for a couple, has everything required for a relaxing stay. The kitchen had cooking oil, some spices, and parchment paper, which is a really good thing for short stays.

Retreat on Quidi Vidi!

Everything about this retreat was great- location, cleanliness, functionality, security, and great communication with the owner. The house was well decorated and had everything needed as a home away from home .

Mom's relaxation night out

This place was really tastefully decorated and cozy. We loved making our own fire and cozying up to watch a few movies. The bed was super comfortable!! The sauna was a great feature too. Love how close this is to the Cuckolds Cove trail. Would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay here, especially the location. Being in Quidi Vidi was a real highlight. It’s such a beautiful and charming area, while still being incredibly close to everything St. John’s has to offer. Downtown St. John’s is just a short drive away and very easy to get to, while staying in a quieter setting. Having Quidi Vidi Lake just steps away was fantastic, and we enjoyed the scenic trail that loops around the lake. The Quidi Vidi Brewery is only a couple of minutes away and was a perfect spot to stop for a drink or a bite to eat. The accommodations were excellent. We always appreciate a king-size bed, and this one was exceptionally comfortable. The entire space was spotless, and we especially loved the spacious bedroom and unique loft area. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the Breville espresso machine was a wonderful touch that we made great use of throughout our stay.Although we didn’t have the opportunity to try the sauna, it looked amazing and would be a great feature to enjoy on a future visit. Overall, this is a beautiful, well-appointed property in an unbeatable location, and we would happily stay here again.

This property was absolutely lovely... our first visit to NL was off to a fine start! It was clean and cozy and made a fabulous start and finish to each of our days exploring the area. Beautifully appointed with everything needed to feel at home in the kitchen and pampered as well. Gordon is a wonderful host! We only had 2 nights to enjoy this spot but hope to come back again in the future.

Perfect retreat

Lovely cottage style one bedroom close to everything. In town for a visit with family and found this was a delightful place to stay near Belbins grocery, a walk or hike in any direction, and 5 mins from downtown. Excellent night sleep - neighborhood was super quiet at night. I wanted for nothing during my stay.

This is the cutest little property. Very cozy and inviting. It was nice to be out of downtown St.John’s but still within walking distance. Quidi Vidi is a perfect little community. All the amenities we needed were in the room. They even had ground coffee for us ready to go, however I thought it to be unsanitary to have the little scoop left in the container. Not sure when the last time that was washed. My only real complaint was the sub par cleanliness. I ended up buying a pack of Lysol wipes and cleaning many things. The toilet upstairs looked to have poop near the flusher and there was pee under the seat. The kitchen had some food on the cabinets and the handles of the fridge doors. I ended up cleaning the toilet and all the knobs and high touch areas in the kitchen. I wiped where there was food on the cabinets and fridge, along with the light switches, hand rails and tv remotes just to be sure. Overall, I would still recommend this little adobe to others. It was relaxing which was just what we needed.

Delayed Valentine’s Day

We were booked on Valentine’s Day but had to cancel due to a family emergency which led to my mother passing away. The owners were incredibly understanding and accommodating, allowing us to defer our trip to March 28. The place was fantastic and we really loved the wood stove and Sauna! We had a lovely little night without the kids. Thank you so much!!
