Unbelievable location and visit! Our family had never been to the Finger Lakes before and I am so glad we experienced it through this lovely lake house in Naples. The scenery was breathtaking. There are three small waterfalls next to the house!!! We hiked, we kayaked, we went to great spots for food and drink and overall made incredible memories we will never forget. Mary was a responsive host with great recommendations. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I can’t say enough about the Chosen Spot and encourage many others to choose it too!
The lake view was one of the most spectacular on Canandaigua Lake. Hosts were readily accessible. We loved getting to have our beloved golden doodle with us.
We loved our stay at this home! It had the most gorgeous views & plenty of places to enjoy it. The beds were comfy & the kitchen was well stocked. It was also private & a bit off the path, which we loved.
Overall this was a great place to stay. The views were amazing. If you are looking to get away this is a perfect place for you. Also the host was very responsive and accommodating.
If you could give more than 5 stars, this would be it. Beautiful location. Had everything we needed. Well equipped. As advertised and even better. We hope to stay again.
A beautiful location on the south end of Canandaigua Lake. Communication with the host was excellent! A perfect spot for our family vacation with easy access to the surrounding area.
A wonderful vacation in a beautiful area on Canandaigua Lake. The house is at the very end of a quiet, dead end street. Sitting on the deck and looking at the beautiful lake and scenery was so peaceful and relaxing. I really can't wait to go back !
Great getaway with friends for skiing. Loved the privacy m, the hot tub and all the space. Comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. Good times. Great value. And a terrific host. Will definitely be back!
We absolutely loved our stay here! The only drawback is having 6 people who are staying there and needing to space showers out at the suggested time of 10 min each, 30 min between showers per the suggestions due to the septic situation there. It was doable but an added stress for sure. The location and views are absolutely worth it and the home was lovely overall. We even were allowed an early check in which was very nice.
Place was beautiful. Right on the lake. Beautiful view. Clean and great host. Only complaint is that it is on a private one lane road that has so many pot holes that we were afraid to drive at night. Also best if you are staying longer as the fees amount to a days stay and if you are only staying for a weekend are very expensive

Thanks for the 5 star review! Glad you loved the house and the views! The privacy and views are unparalleled!
To access this sweet spot there is a steep dirt road (privately maintained by resident HOA) that takes you to lake level and this spring we’ve had LOTS of rain, so yes there are potholes. It’s a nuisance but certainly not dangerous, even at night. Just turn on your headlights. The road will get fixed this month.
As for fees, they are all known at time of booking. No surprises. The cleaning fee is the only fee I charge guests and is quite normal for a place such as this with a hot tub and a high standard of cleanliness, so thank you for the 5 stars on cleanliness!
VRBO service fee and insurance, are standard on this booking platform and controlled by VRBO. Next time, please stay more nights then the flat fees will be less on a daily basis!
I will also point out there are no fees for use of paddleboards, kayaks, canoe, firewood and gas for BBQ and gas fitepit. We hope you’ll return and stay longer next time!
What an absolutely perfect spot! The location is breathtaking——literally on a beautiful lake with a beach and swimmable water. It was too cold in April to swim but the water was crystal clear! House is perfect- 3 levels, lots of privacy! The owners thought of everything and communication was excellent! Can’t wait to come back!
Beautiful home at the end of a dead end road (we visited in February and the road was challenging at best). The home was well kept and had everything we needed. The view of Canandaigua lake was amazing especially from the hot tub. Bald eagles were soaring all day, ducks and geese swimming as well.
For the last 5 years we have chosen a different lake each year, this years house and experience on the lake by far has been the best in regards to absolute privacy being at the end of the private road, the overall water frontage and view was superb and the house set up for privacy was a plus with the bed rooms being all on separate floors, we would highly recommend your rental to anyone looking for a place of beauty and privacy!
We had a lovely vacation in this pet friendly and best situated lake house in the area with breathtaking view from the terrace, huge private beach and great swimming area. The house was clean and well equipped. The hosts were very nice and took care of everything. We had a jacuzzi, lawn chairs, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, barbecue and lots of wood for bonfires in the evenings. We'd love to go there again one day because of this fantastic view, great privacy and nice hosts.

Thank you Justyna. So glad you enjoyed your stay at our little slice of heaven on the lake! We look forward to hosting you again!
Our family had a really great time. Our 2 year old and 4 year old loved the water and all the rocks down by the water. We loved all the updates in the house. The kayaks, canoe and water toys along with the hot tub and gas fire table were perfect. Lots of comfortable seating everywhere too! The entire house was very clean, no spiders or bugs inside the house which was amazing considering how close it is to the water. Awesome vacation for everyone and the owners were very responsive to any questions we had.
This cottage was exactly what our family needed to get away from the dreary cloudy/rainy skies during our kids spring break. The view was breathtaking, and the nearby waterfalls were a bonus. The kids had a blast running from the lake to the hot tub, canoeing, watching the loons and eagles, and listening to the waterfalls surrounding the property. We also took in the well thought out recommendations of places to visit nearby and fell in love. We are already trying to figure out when we can return and experience this gem in the warmer weather.
The pictures are older, they did a lot of beautiful renovations to the home. The home is very welcoming and in a perfect location. Right on the lake, did a lot of fishing and sitting on the porch. Beautiful home all around. Very clean. We will be coming back!!!
Lots of breweries, wineries and hiking trails near. Marina is 5 minutes down the road. Perfect location.
Communication was great between us and owners.
One of the best places we have stayed. Clean (and I am picky), fully stocked and great service! Mary was very accommodating and helpful. Lots of nature and private but, a close drive to many restaurants, vineyards/breweries, parks, etc. Loved the deck at all times of the day. We saw a variety of critters - Eagles, geese, Wood, Mallards and Merganser ducks, rat snake, Lake trout (jumping out of the water), deer, and fox and very few bugs! Enjoyed the firepit and sound of the lapping waves through the window at night. We docked our 23" boat on the pier with the newly installed mooring whip and it worked great. We would definitely stay again!

One of the best guests we’ve ever had! Great communication and so very respectful of our property. Beth and family/friends are welcome back anytime!
What a great time we had at this house! First of all the house was immaculate! I was so impressed how clean the house was. The property managers were there when we arrived. They were very welcoming and very helpful. The property manager also came and checked the hot tub during our stay. The property is a great location. It was private and there were kayaks and lifejackets that we were able to use to enjoy the water. It was a wonderful place to go with my family and our dog, we all had a great time. We had such a great time that we booked a week for the following year while we were at the house. Looking forward to going back next summer.

Andrea, So glad you enjoyed the property. The location is amazing and we strive to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Looking forward to hosting you again!
Stayed here for a weekend getaway with friends and had a fantastic time! House was exactly as pictured, right on the lake. Everything was clean and in working order, including the hot tub. Enough towels, kitchen equipment, etc for a group of 8 and close to wineries and other local restaurants and cafes. Communication with the owner was great - really responsive and informative. Would love to stay again in warmer weather!

About the host
Hosted by Mary & Mark Miola
Mary grew up in the Finger Lakes. Dad was a grape grower so she worked in the vineyards since a young age. I grew up snow skiing at Bristol Mountain, slalom skiing on Canandaigua lake and hiking Grimes Glen. The area has the fondest memories for me. I just love it. I get back there at least a couple times a year with my husband, Mark, and 2 young adult sons. The rest of the year I'm happy to share it with others and can provide lots of local recommendations.
Why they chose this property
That view! The beautiful clear water. The eagles that live in the cove. The quaint town with a wonderful sense of community. The peacefulness. But mostly that view. It never gets old.
What makes this property unique
One of the most secluded spots on the lake (or maybe any of the Finger Lakes). It's the last house on the road, in a cove with no close neighbors on either side because there is nearly 500 sq ft of beach frontage.. The house is right on the water. So close you almost think you're on a boat! And you're surrounded by nature. A magical place.
