Dreaming of the perfect pied-à-terre in Annecy’s enchanting old town? Look no further! This sun-soaked gem with a view is nestled in the heart of the pedestrian, historic center, surrounded by a vibrant tapestry of shops, cafés, restaurants, and open air market 3 times a week. Just a 10-min stroll to the train station (direct trains to Paris!) and 6-min walk to the breathtaking Annecy Lake, Europe’s purest. If charm, convenience, and location are on your wishlist, this apartment ticks every box!
The apartment has one bedroom, one bathroom, and one living room/kitchen.
The bedroom has a double-size bed.
The apartment is located on the 2nd floor without elevator --most properties in the Old Town do not have elevators because of the age of the building.
NOTE:
The Old Town is an animated neighborhood-- restaurants, bars open till late in the evening (one up to 1am), and a beautiful open market 3 times a week from 7am to 12pm. The market vendors set up around 6:30am/7am and you'll have the privilege to see them from the apartment.
If you are sensitive to noises, do make sure to bring some ear plugs.
There is an electric fan in the bedroom. In this old building, it is not possible to install central AC or a mini-split. When outside temps are 80+ (25+ Celcius), it can be warm in the apartment. Of course, opening the windows helps bring cool air, especially at night. But see the note about restaurants and bars above.
Check-in:
We will either meet you at the apartment to give you the keys or we will provide a code to a lockbox. Nous vous rencontrerons à l'appartement pour la remise des clefs ou laisserons les clefs and une boîte à clefs dans l'immeuble.
1) There is a small tv screen that plays some DVDs. Some DVDs are provided.
2) Parking is available right across from the apartment called Garage Sainte Claire. It's a covered parking garage managed by the city. A 2-day pass is 25 euros. A 3-day pass is 33 euros. And a 5-day pass is 45 euros, all taxes and fees included. You can get the pass upon entering the garage.
3) The apartment is in the heart of the historic, old town, meaning it is vibrant and animated at night. Some restaurants close at 10pm, and one at 1am. Although the windows are double glazing, if you're very sensitive to noise, do bring some ear plugs.
4) In this 1900 building, the installation of central AC or a mini-split is not allowed. There is a fan in the bedroom. When the summer temperatures are high, it can be warm in the apartment. Of course, opening the windows can help bring some cool air at night but see item number 3 above.
5) There are some darkening curtains on the bedroom window. At night, we suggest you close the shutters for more darkness in the apartment. We also suggest you close the shutters during the day when it's very warm to keep the apartment cool when you're not home.
Have a great stay!
