This is a romantic thatched-roof house, part of a former quiet courtyard with a large garden and an unobstructed view of the marshes. It is located in the village. Here you can enjoy the beauty of nature under an umbrella on the terrace or in a beach chair. The beach in Nieblum is a comfortable 15- to 20-minute bike ride away. It’s an ideal starting point for long bike rides to the island’s villages or for hikes. For horse lovers, there are a total of three equestrian centers in Alkersum.


Accessibility: Travel to Dagebüll Harbour by car or train. From there, ferries depart several times a day to Wyk on Föhr. Especially during the summer months or on holidays, a reservation is essential if you’re driving your own car.

Dining: The island of Föhr offers your guests a wide variety of restaurants in virtually every category. For guests of all tastes, the restaurants “Alt Wyk” in Wyk’s pedestrian zone and “Little Witt” at the Landhotel Witt in Nieblum come highly recommended. At Ual Skinne in Utersum, Luc cooks up a delicious meal. In Alkersum, on the high street near the new West Coast Art Museum, you’ll find the café and restaurant “’s Grethjen Gasthof.”

Erholsamer Urlaub für die Familie

Wunderschönes Friesenhaus mit großem Garten. Sehr gepfegt und gut ausgestattet. Das Haus liegt sehr sehr ruhig und direkt neben einem Bauerhof, was für unsere Kinder super war. Zum Strand nach Nieblum sind es mit dem Fahrrad 15min. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

leider mit Abstrichen

leider keine Betreuung durch die Vermietagentur, bei Ankunft war niemand vor Ort. Haustür war defekt. Wasserkocher völlig verrostet. Ansonsten sauber und gepflegt. Allgemein störend ist die sehr unmittelbare Nähe eines landwirtschaftlichen Betriebes.

Liebe Frau T. Schade, dass es Ihnen bei uns nicht so gefallen hat. Das Urlaubsmotto im Inserat lautet "Ruhe und Erholung" und "Bauernhof". Auf die Nachbarschaft zum Bauernhof wird ausdrücklich hingewiesen. In unserem großen Garten bekommt man übrigens davon so gut wie gar nichts mit. Die einzige Lärmbelästigung ist mal eine muhende Kuh oder ein Traktor, der über benachbarte Felder fährt. Auch weht einem ab und an einmal der Geruch des ausgebrachten Dunges um die Nase. Wer das als störend empfindet , sollte unser Haus lieber nicht mieten. Die Vermietungsagentur ist gewechselt, die Tür repariert worden und ein neuer Wasserkocher ist auch da. Es entspricht übrigens durchaus den Gepflogenheiten auf der Insel, dass die Schlüssel im Vermietungsbüro abgeholt werden und der Gast vor Ort nicht persönlich in Empfang genommen wird. Dafür erwartet den Gast ein saubers Haus, ein Willkommensgruß und ab einer Mietdauer von 1 Woche frisch bezogene Betten und bereitgestellte Handtücher.

erholsamer Urlaub

Das Ferienhaus ist ruhig und doch zentral gelegen. Es ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, gepflegt und der Garten lädt zum verweilen ein. Durch seine Lage ist alles (Strand, Einkaufsläden, etc.) gut mit dem Rad in 15 Min. zu erreichen. Bäcker, Restaurant in Gehweite. Wir verbrachten einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub, auch deshalb weil wir das Auto nur für grössere Einkaufsfahrten nach Wyk oder zum Golfplatz benutzen mussten. Ansonsten waren wir zu Fuss oder per Rad unterwegs, entdeckten die vielen charmanten Flecken die Föhr zu bieten hat. Wir kommen wieder. Einziger Wermutstropfen war der Geruch des nahegelegenen Freilauf-stalles, der je nach Windrichtung unser Feriendomizil umwehte.
