The house was modernized and clean. It was well-stocked with linens and essential food for our use as well as kitchen utensils and dishes. We only had one problem-we arrived during a heat wave. It was difficult to cool down the house. The windows open, but there are no screens, and there are some mosquitos and other insects. Opening the windows let them in, and upstairs was stifling at night. It is an old house, amd typical of France, so there is no A/C. It would have been very comfortable at another time of the year. I would suggest not renting in the hot summer.
