About this property

Exceptional gîte on the banks of the river Lot

Located on the outskirts of a small hamlet cut off from the world, in Livinhac-le-Bas, in Aveyron, our cottage is a magnificent haven of peace in a quiet and rejuvenating place, ideal for a family looking to immerse themselves in nature, and for fishermen, beginners or experienced.

The cottage, with stone walls and period framework, renovated in a stylish and authentic way, can comfortably accommodate up to 5 people (equipped kitchen, dining room, bathroom with walk-in shower). The 2 bedrooms, communicating, have 3 sleeping areas, including a King size bed. The bedrooms are connected by a catamaran net, on which you can read or take a nap.

The house is surrounded by a large wooded area, with fruit trees and hundred-year-old oaks. It offers direct and private access to an exceptional portion of the Lot river; at the foot of the land stretches a magnificent reach of about 6 km: a wild meander and very little frequented, as it is difficult to approach, giving access to many species of preserved fauna and flora.

You can picnic at the water's edge on a landscaped area, with tables, chairs, barbecue, etc. The area is idyllic, you will be charmed by it and you can also swim, paddle or canoe, hike, etc. without any neighbours, no opposite!

For fishermen, the place is extraordinary: the route from the gîte is a very preserved portion of the Lot of about 6 km. There are pike, catfish, carp (night fishing allowed), and many other species of fish (perch, barbel, roach, etc.). If you feel like it, you can fish at the foot of the cottage, having an aperitif on the bank! If you practice float-tube fishing, we can drop you off at a spot and pick you up later downstream... We can provide you with all the fishing equipment you may be missing, take you by boat or in a 4×4 to inaccessible posts, facilitate your fishing trips in camp by preparing your bivouac, by priming your post beforehand, by delivering packed lunches, etc. The owner of the cottage is a former fishing guide who will be able to advise you perfectly!

Located on the border of the departments of Lot, Aveyron and Cantal, the house is located in a territory very rich in terms of historical, natural and cultural heritage: you can visit many medieval fortresses, hiking trails and tourist hotspots! (Rocamadour, Saint-Cirq Lapopie, the Gouffre de Padirac, Conques, Cajarc, Figeac, the Way of St. James, the Cycle Route, etc.).

You can also practice many activities around the house: mountain biking, canyoning, caving, via ferrata, microlight, water games, etc.
