Book your 5 ⭐️ stay in this spacious first floor family-friendly suite in the desirable DeBaliviere neighborhood. Only a 2 block walk from Forest Park & its Metrolink train stop, your group will have access to everything the city has to offer. This 100 year-old historic home is only blocks from Forest Park, the site of the 1904 World's Fair Exposition and 1904 Summer Olympics.

Unload your car then collapse on the wrap-around couch for an evening of movies on our Roko TV. Enjoy a quiet night sleep (kids have their own room). Wake rested, roll out of your king-sized bed, & brew a cup of joe before heading out to explore the Lou.

"Suites in the Lou" offers 6 private suites in one building - great for a large group which may want to all stay in one place. These can be found online at "SuitesintheLou". To see our other suites, go to my PROFILE page for a listing of all our accommodations in the same building.
Walkable to Forest Park, the Metrolink train stop, the Delmar Loop, restaurants, and shopping.

This 1st floor 2-bedroom/1 bath suite sleeps 5-6 guests. Enjoy a king bedroom for you plus a second bedroom with a queen and a twin bed. A twin-sized rollaway bed is stored in the closet for your 6th guest.

After stocking the refrigerator, cook up a family dinner and enjoy it around the table in the large eat-in kitchen.

A Metrolink station is conveniently located in DeBaliviere Place. You can hop on the Skinker/DeBaliviere stop and head all the way to the Lambert International Airport or right downtown. We're proud that our neighborhood boasts excellent public transit. We're also centrally located, so you can take a short walk, ride, or drive to the Delmar Loop, Washington University, the Central West End, or Forest Park. There are plenty of quality dining, retail, and entertainment choices that are within walking distance. DeBaliviere Place simply presents the best that St. Louis has to offer.

How to Find our Building: Because we are on a dead-end street, you can only access our address coming from the East. There is no direct access from DeBaliviere Avenue.

Gated Parking: Access to the gated parking lot is only available after you arrive and check into your unit. A remote to the gate and a key to your back door entrance will be waiting for you on the kitchen counter. In the meantime, feel free to find a parking spot out front on the street.

Great little efficient condo with easy access to all of downtown St Louis. Host was super communicative throughout the whole stay(although we had no issues). Fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook. Building is older and has some "character" but we had no problems with it.

Great little place for our stay in St Louis while recovering from surgery. Close to parks, the zoo and lots for my family to do. Even with all the tornado destruction around us, we didn’t have any issues with access; it’s a perfect little space with all the necessities. Libby is a great host, quick responses when needed. This unit worked well for us. The location was great with easy access to downtown attractions. It is definitely is a vintage building (which I appreciate), so not a good pick for someone looking for modern. Great value in my opinion.

Great place and great location!

Property is older but the bathroom and kitchen are updated nicely. It is clean and well kept. Our King bed with the memory foam was very comfortable and provided a great night's sleep. The location provided easy and quick access to the Metro which gets you downtown in a jiffy. The short walk to Forest Park allowed us to enjoy the beauty and serenity of walking up to Art Hill, one of our favorite locations in St Louis. We hope to stay here again!

Lovely cozy space in great St. Louis location

We really enjoyed our chilly winter weekend at this cozy spot. Check in and check out were easy and seamless. Neighborhood was awesome for walking our dog. Gated parking was a nice perk, although street parking was available and fine. Everything is very comfortable and clean. This is a historic aged building, so everything is not pristine and perfect, but if you want a comfy, welcoming space to stay in a great location (be sure to check out the 2 coffee shops that are a few minutes walk away!) this is the place for you!

We stayed here for a few days over Thanksgiving. The location was great and a walkable Starbucks had just opened. There was lots of space in the condo for our family. It is well-loved but spotless. The parking is convenient in the back and has easy access to the condo. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place and location

Came in town with some friends for an event downtown. There were 4 of us and the space was perfect. The location was great as well. It was easy to get to several areas nearby that we wanted to visit. Excellent service from the renter too. Didn't have any issues the entire weekend. Would definitely stay there again.

There were little things about this place that were extra welcoming. A high chair and toys for littles (if you have them it’s huge to feel like they’re thought of and welcome), the note on the fridge that was easy for information and also friendly in the wording. We had the things we needed. There’s coffee places and food within walking distance, not to mention forest park. Lovely location and would definitely recommend.

Spring break trip

My husband & kids stayed at this property for a spring break trip. It is a great location, just as described, older building which gives it character & good space for a family of four. The only negative thing I can say is that the living room furniture (couch, chair) are old & need to be replaced. They were both really uncomfortable. The listing said gated parking & we wanted that for safety but the gate wouldn’t ever close so it stayed open all day & night. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It is a great location & close to all kinds of attractions.

Overall the place was as advertised and the hose responded well to a few questions and gave good recommendations for food etc (highly recommend Macks) Keep in mind it is a very old building that has some "bumps and bruises" but would stay at again. Very close for Forest Park!

Great accomodations for long weekend

The apartment is in a very convenient location and easy to access. The space was perfect for our family of 5 and we were very happy to find a pet-friendly rental so our pup could join us. Neighborhood was great for walking the dog and being a dead-end street it was very quiet since there was no through traffic. We appreciated the gated parking in the back. Communication from the host was excellent and very detailed with what to expect. The main purpose of our trip was a college visit for my son--if he ends up in St. Louis we will certainly use this rental again!

We loved the charm of this 100 year old building and the proximity to the hospital where our Mother was being treated. The off-street gated parking is an added bonus! We found the suite clean, the beds comfortable with several different pillows choices. The bathroom and kitchen was amply stocked, and instructions well posted. We were on the first level with other guests above us and it was less disruptive than an average hotel room. We used the dining table for all meals and the single bed with double bed in the same room worked well for our family. Our host was outstanding and I recommend staying with them wholeheartedly!

We moved to the Lou right after we married, raised our three children here who have all married locally and now raise our 6 grandchildren in St. Louis as well. We both look forward to hosting you into our retirement. Although we have a cleaning team that helps us, Eric and I do most of the maintenance and repairs.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this 6-suite short term rental in October 2021 so we can enjoy hosting guests to STL on into retirement. Nothing is more enjoyable than a vacation, right?!
This 100-year old building is located in the "Heart of St. Louis"... the Forest Park area. Although St. Louis is a small town, it has big city opportunities and amenities!

What makes this property unique

We are small group, family and pet friendly. Parties are not allowed but family get-togethers are encouraged. With 6 suites in our building, we can accommodate corporate teams and family reunions that wish to stay in the same building. However, we do not have a common space for gatherings.
