Everything was perfect from arrival until our departure. Dennis was very helpful in suggesting nearby restaurants and activities. The cabin was the perfect getaway... from the soft bed to the cozy outdoor fireplace, surrounding scenery, warm hospitality and relaxation. It was exactly what we were looking for when planning our trip to Harrisonburg.
Dennis was an incredibly thoughtful and responsive host, the sort of guy who follows up to see how you liked his suggested restaurants. The location was secluded, serene, and scenic, everything we could have wanted on an idyllic getaway. Would not hesitate to go back.
This was our second time at this cabin. It has everything you would possibly need for a stay.
The owner checked in with us everyday to see if everything was okay or if we needed anything.
The cabin is absolutely fantastic. It’s in such a fantastic, quiet, beautiful setting that pictures truly don’t do it justice. Dennis and his crew take such great care of the property and the guests that stay there. It truly is a hidden gem.
We really enjoyed our time at the cabin on the farm. The cabin was very nice, clean, cozy and had what we needed for our two night's stay, including coffee! The setting is charming and peaceful. Our dog enjoyed his trail walks. The hosts were a delight to talk with. We look forward to our next visit.
Our stay at this quaint cabin was enjoyed! The fire place was a great amenity. The cabin was clean, comfortable and the kitchen had plenty of cookware. We were visiting our JMU Duke for a game 💜💛💜💛
The cabin is very nice and up to date! I would highly recommend! It is secluded which I loved but also close to food and attractions in the area! The owner is friendly and makes you feel welcomed!
If you are looking for a place to get away, this is it. My only close neighbors were cows, birds, and squirrels. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Dennis showed me how to adjust the air/heat and made sure I had up to date information on local restaurants. I look forward to coming back!
The cabin was very homey and clean, and fully equipped The fireplace was ready to burn, great to enjoy in the cooler evening. Dennis was a great host, recommending places to eat and hike, and was very friendly. It was a relaxing vacation!
The owner, Dennis, was so helpful and kind. We went to church with him on Sunday morning. Loved the country setting, cows mooing, roosters crowing, and sunsets over the mountains.
Secluded, quiet, relaxing, clean. If you need to decompress from information and sensory overload this stay is for you. Nice hearing cows, roosters and seeing wildlife as well. Dennis was a great host too. 5 stars.
The space is small but so very well appointed. I haven’t stayed in such a clean place in a while. The counters, the floor, the dishes…even the smell was fantastic! They do a really great job communication was great, the hosts were very friendly. I would stay again so I feel like that sums it up!
This is a beautiful cabin! So much privacy and everything you need. The owner is wonderful, very helpful and friendly and accommodated to our needs. The cabin was very clean and had good wifi and was the perfect couples escape. We will definitely be coming back! The view is beautiful and the outdoor porch was amazing to sit outside at and relax! Definitely a hidden gem
Dennis is absolutely wonderful. The property is relaxing and quiet a great place to unplug and just soak up nature. The quaint cabin is simple and clean. The bed is comfy. The water pressure in the shower is fantastic and it was the hottest shower I have ever had.
We have made a friend 😃
Decided this would be a nice get away for my girlfriend and I who both live in a busy city, but being able to take pur two puppies and get away was amazing. And Dennis is truly an amazing host and person very understanding and forthright.
Dennis was very timely in responding to any questions I had. Some other reviews mentioned the fact that the property is on a chicken farm as if that was a drawback; that is true, but you only drive past the coops to get to the house. We were there in August, and did not notice any farm odor once we got to the house. The house was clean and Dennis was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.
Dennis was a great host. He met us at the cabin, showed us where everything was and even recommended some restaurants in the area. We had a wonderful five day trip to the Virginia mountains.
