Perfect location as it was near the beach and some of our favorite shops and restaurants. The house was great for a few people and the kitchen was spacious. The backyard was nice in the evenings and we even could hear live music from Harry’s. One bathroom doesn’t have any counter space which is odd as it was just remolded but we made it work.

This was our first time to Anna Maria Island and I couldn't be happier that we chose to stay at the Hurricane House! The house itself has been fully renovated and updated. The decor, the colors, the comforts and conveniences are all top notch. If I could give it ten stars I would. The location of the house was also perfect. You can't pick a better location on the island. We could walk to everything - the beach, the Sandbar, all of the shops & dining on Pine, Ginny & Janes, literally everything! For being close to everything, it was also so peaceful and quiet. If you are looking for a place to stay, I can say with 100 percent certainty this is the place! Also, the beds were super comfortable :-)

Location was great but the house wasn’t ready to rent. It was a mess. It was a new remodel. So mind you the place looked great as in new but was dusty and things not working and thing's breaking. Like a toilet leaking. The bedrooms needed more A/C. The house needed a remodel clean and had none and all the dishes were dusty. So otherwise I think we fixed all the problems for this house for future renters. You will love it and its location.

Fantastic Location & Great Amenities

Super close and short walk to the beach! Close to restaurants and shops. Loved the private pool. It was also very nice to have some soap, shampoo, dish soap, a couple of laundry pods, etc. provided for for us.

Fabulous

No hassles at all. Check in seamless. Property sparkling clean from kitchen to bathrooms to outside. Restaurants within walking distance as is beach which is also pristine. This was second visit since May and will be back.

Much Needed Getaway

This was my husband and I's first vacation on our own in a long time, and we were looking for the perfect spot within walking distance of the beach and restaurants that would also accommodate our dogs. We loved the "hacienda" feel of the home, having our own pool, a fenced back yard, great bike riding and only a block to the beach. We are already looking forward staying at the Hurricane House again next year and hope to make it an annual getaway.

Great location on the island!

House was great and so close to the beach. This is definitely more vacation rental than VRBO style. Everything is cleaned out so you will need coffee filters and any thing needed for cooking like oil, spices etc. They have all the pots, pans utensils. The pool was awesome (the alarms are a little annoying until you figure them out and are a good safety precaution). Would definitely book again.

Beautiful home.

Home is beautiful. Check in and out was easiest we ever had. Pool was delightful. AC was great. Tons of TV channels but we really didn’t watch it. You must bring or rent your own beach chairs. There are many good restaurants within walking distance and you must try Mademoiselle for authentic French pastries and dinner.

Fun Family Beach Getaway

We loved our stay at this lovely home. The on-site heated pool and screened-in patio with grill were perfect for our needs. The house was just a quick walk to white sand beaches. We would definitely return again! Only small bits of feedback are that it would have been lovely to have some salt and pepper on hand for cooking, one laundry basket for transferring loads, and a small cooler for the beach. But these were all easy fixes. Thank you!

Fab place and I will be back!

I loved this place. Great house, great location, great place to be! I will def be back. Only hiccup at all was non-working cable in living room (which they tried, but failed, to fix), and an alarm in the pool house that had no silence button on the outside like all the other doors. Not an issue for us as we didn't use that room. Would be really annoying if we had to use that room. Still loved the place and will stay here again and again!!

Hurricane house

We loved the house and net covering the pool. Maybe this is how Florida vrbos work but there was no extra toilet paper, no dish or hand soap (except a bar), no laundry detergent and no dishwasher soap, no garbage bags (except one in the bathroom) and we killed a cockroach in the house (again maybe just common for Florida...I just hate bugs). Coming from across the US with 6 kids it would have been nice to arrive and not have to worry about those things that have come with other vrbos we’ve stayed in.

Simply Wonderful

It was an amazing getaway. A true vacation. We rented a golf cart from Lazy Turtle, which is a walk around the block. We ate at the Sandbar, Harry's, and Waterhouse---all within a walk. And they were wonderful. We walked to breakfast at Mademoiselle's 3 different mornings--coffee and croissants. They were delicious. Go to the Sandbar for brunch. Ask for a table in the sand. We did twice. Had drinks and lunch, then walked over to a spot on the beach. Plus, the Sandbar has an outdoor access to order fruity drinks, like Daiquiris. Ironically, even though it's posted to not have alcohol on the beach, those from the Sandbar were, obviously, allowed. The house is lovely. It's comfortable and stocked well. The pool is heated. The landscaping is beautiful. Plenty of seating. Beach towels were provided. There is an outdoor bedroom that doesn't have a shower, but we used the outdoor shower, which was absolutely fine. We were on vacation. There is a twin pullout in the Master bedroom and the couch (in a private room beside the living room) pulls outs as well. We used both. I would take sheets for the single. We used blankets, that we carried, but I will take sheets next time. I hope to be back. Soon.

Great house to celebrate family milestone events

We’ve been vacationing on AMI for 25yrs and this was the most special year of all. Our youngest graduated from Eckerd College, our oldest brought his wife and new baby to this magical spot for the first time, and we all celebrated a surprise wedding proposal on the beach. The house gave everyone enough space to spread out & relax. It’s close to restaurants, shopping and steps away from a great beach. We couldn’t have asked for more! Thank you, Hurricane House.

A wonderful place

This place was everything we had hoped for. It was so close to the ocean and restaurants. I loved being able to walk to places or just go right to the ocean. The only thing that I would say was not good was the little pool house/ room had mold in it and had a smell due to it. Other then that it was perfect

Great house...wonderful location

Beautiful home, pool, and the best location for resturants, beach and shopping . Third bedroom was a bit of surprise that it was separate from the home but there are plenty of places to sleep that are very comfortable.

Happy with Hurricane House

Overall we were pleased with the rental and the location. We have come to Anna Maria over the last twelve years but have never stayed at the northern end. Needs new pans and more linens / towels.

Wonderful house and location
