Oasis!

Easy process from check-in to check-out. Pool was cold the first few days we were there and had debris from rain and wind but the pool guy came Thursday and we had enjoyed the pool very much for at least 2 days and nights ! It was definitely a little oasis and super loved the privacy! It’s walking distance & so close to the ocean as well as shops ! Great location! I will definitely be recommending this place to friends.

Holmes Beach Winter Vacation 2023

Property was fantastic. This was our third visit to Anna Maria Island in last three years. We have stayed in different places each time and this one was the quietest and most convienient location we have stayed. Only issues we had were the pool stayed shaded most of the day and required me to add water to it three times over the 4 weeks we were there.

Nice place but poor service

Very nice small unit. Great pool. Reasonably equipped - both Keurig and drip coffee makers (agent told us drip only), 4 decent beach chairs, two umbrellas, and a wagon. I reported the pool was filthy/green when we arrived, but it took 3 days to get it cleaned.

Holmes Beach

I found the property to be perfect for what I wanted. Well stocked, clean, great location. It is a duplex and the other renter was quiet. On the last night, new tenants moved in with a dog who barked late into the night. Other than the last night, it exceeded my expaectations.

Winter family vacation

Great house. Awesome backyard, however, the foliage is so thick the sun never hits the pool during the day. We had issues with the pool heater but the management group was excellent at coming and getting it fixed. It’s a duplex unit and the sound prodding between the two homes was incredibly poor. We were woken up multiple days due to the people in the unit next to us. Great location in Holmes - easy to access many different things! Overall we had a great week. Thank you!

AMI Vacation

My family of four (2 adults, 2 children) stayed here for 2 weeks in early January. Location of the unit is great, 1 block from beach access, and a couple of blocks from a number of restaurants and stores. Could also bike to grocery store. Unit is a 1 story duplex with its own private pool. The pool is great and heated. The unit was very nice and well laid out. The kitchen/living room area is very open and is from where you access the pool. Kitchen had everything you need. The 3 bedrooms had comfortable beds and were quiet. The master had its own bath and the 2 bedrooms shared the 2nd full bath. Plenty of room for a family of 4 or 5. The front driveway could fit 2 cars. Really enjoyed our stay there and love AMI!

Perfect Getaway Location

We loved everything about this place. The location, the pool, the cleanliness and it was fully stocked with everything we needed. I wish I could give it 5 stars, but the beds were terrible! The mattresses desperately need to be replaced. They are sunken in, lumpy, and we all complained of back aches in the morning. Other than that, this place is paradise.

Little slice of paradise

I’ll begin with all the good things: the property is beautiful; although the home is around 60 years old, it has been maintained and updated very well. The backyard is incredible; the pool and tiki huts are very charming and add to the ambiance of the home. We greatly appreciated the supply of towels and gas grill; very nice. The best part is the location; the home is about 3 blocks from the beach, which is about a 3-5 minute walk. We found the area where we were at the beach to not be as crowded as other areas , which was a plus for us. There are some great stores and take-out places nearby -Vinny’s Italian is great! Also, we loved all the little lizards roaming around 😀 On the negative side: mosquitoes. Lots and lots of mosquitoes. We wanted to spend so much time at the pool, but the mosquitoes prevented it. We tried using citronella candles, Off diffusers , even sprays when not going in the pool, but the mosquitoes didn’t care. We ended up leaving a day early because we simply could not enjoy ourselves with all the mosquitoes around. Second: we found all but the king sized mattress to be uncomfortable. Waking up with back pain is no fun. This is very subjective, so it may not be an issue for you. Third: the cable TV had a weird glitch where it would display the channel in the preview pane, but when selecting the channel it would just get hung up displaying “Please Wait”. Annoying, but not a deal breaker, as we didn’t go there to watch tv. Lastly: the pool gets dirty very easily due to all the palm trees and foliage around the home. We skimmed the pool ourselves everyday, but there was plenty of debris accumulating at the bottom each day. Cleaning up dead bugs, frogs, leaves, etc. During vacation is no fun. All in all, I strongly recommend the owners to consider investing in mosquito treatment at the home (or get a new service company if they already have one) and have pool service come twice a week instead of once per week. Thanks!

We’re so glad you appreciate all the finer points about Serendipity including its great location, proximity to the beach and the adorable upgrades at the home - definitely features that keep guests returning time and time again. Regarding the mosquitos, the county does spray on a regular basis. There is a local pest control service that offers a mosquito control. We would have been happy to dispatch them to Serendipity had we known it was particularly bothersome for your family. Heavier than normal rain does bring tree debris into the pools. The pools at smaller homes do not require chemical services more often than once per week. We do, however, provide a dip net for guests to scoop out leaves between pool service days. Guests do love a tropical pool area. And with that comes leaves, little bugs and froggies, and other things tropical. We thank you again for your review and we do hope you will visit the beautiful Anna Maria Island again.

Great location, great house and great outdoor space.

We had a great holiday in this perfect location. The house was very comfortable and the pool area private and relaxing. The beach was a very short walk away. We hardly needed to use the car as everything we needed was within walking distance. We hired cycles and found the island caters well for cyclists with lots of cycle lanes and the low speed limits made us feel safe. We did have a problem with the hot water and it was fixed the same day we reported it. The service staff are very helpful and professional. We will be back again.

Great location,walkway to door could use some lighting,could stock with some condiments.Was very surprised by this most locations at least have the bare essentials.Hair dryer,tin foil,laundry detergent to name a few.We enjoyed our overall stay,location and home was beautiful and we would definitely come back.

Great time, location and decorated property. Please address 1. Hose bib turned off because it was leaking. 2. Need 3 way light in GB. 3. Need to check out clothes washer isnt working ..didn't take soap 4. Cleaning and Maintenance ...Washed floor (needed prior to company), removed prior stains in carpet, fixed Mbath drawer, tightened door knobs and outlet plate..found the screwdriver. 5. Neighbors. Owners? Renters? Had 5 cars a few nights...and a barking dog at 2:00 this morning... Thanks for your attention...I am sure the owner would appreciate this.

Hidden paradise

House is beautiful location was absolutely perfect never more than a mile or two from everything short walk to the beach but had anything negative to say the waterfall and the pool shut off at 7 pm every night if you could hear all the neighbors talking and laughing.with the waterfall on it drowned it out loud no adjustments owner of the home needs to readjust the timer.

Perfect home for a family vacation getaway

We fell in love with Anna Maria Island during our first stay! The house is in a perfect location and felt like a home away from home, with a well stocked kitchen and towels.
