Our Blue Heaven boasts one of the LARGEST PRIVATE POOLS on AMI!

Our Blue Heaven (OBH) is located on a corner lot in a quiet, residential neighborhood a short, straight block's walk to the white sand beaches. Guests young and old love the private, fenced-in backyard and covered back porch. Sit and relax rain or shine with a view of one of the largest private pools on the island. The pool has a brand-new electric heater/cooler to ensure that the temperature is perfect for you and your family no matter the season.

Our family purchased OBH from the family who originally built it in 1966 with whom we have remained friends. The home is newly restored and comfortable for guests of all ages. We are confident that you will find all the comforts of a home away from home and are proud to have many repeat guests with whom we have established very friendly relationships. We hope to host you soon and are always available to answer any questions that you might have.

Strip any used beds and gather used towels

Garbage should be taken out to the curb on Fridays. Please DO NOT MOVE FURNITURE, including lamps and small tables.
We reserve the right to collect $500 damage deposit if check out requests are not met, primarily leaving food behind or failure to return furniture to its original position.

This was our 3rd trip to AMI. There were 3 couples, The house had low ceilings and was dark. It did have an outdoor seating area and a nice pool, which was the best part of the house. Two of the couples found the beds uncomfortable. (bedrooms 2 and 3) The kitchen was teeny and you might want to invest in a usable frying pan. Linens were plentiful. Beach was fabulous and a short walk. No restaurants, shopping in walking distance. Traffic was horrendous at all times. Overall will not return.

Hi Joyce, I was very sorry to hear that you and your guests were disappointed with our house. I think that the pictures on our listing accurately represent the house; the newly renovated kitchen and the ceiling height; it’s an older house but the ceilings are typical 7.5 feet. I thank you for the feedback on the frying pan and have already replaced it. As for the beds, they are brand new but, unfortunately, people’s requirements are different and it’s impossible to please everyone. I am so glad that you enjoyed the pool and the outdoor area, definitely what sets us apart from most. So, I thank you for stating the good and the bad. luckily we were able to accommodate your 5 hour early check in, usually we would not have been able to make that work. I hope that you were not caught off guard by the additional fee, however, I am sure that you understand that you had an additional use of the house. I appreciate your feedback and your honestly, as well as your adherence to the early arrival charge. I know that you did not have to do that. AMI has many wonderful restaurants, I wish you had reached out, I would have been happy to give you a list of our favorites. As to the traffic, no way to sugar coat it, just one of the pitfalls of being in a highly desirable destination. Our Blue Heaven was the perfect size and layout for ourselves, our adult children and their significant others! The living room/kitchen was big enough for us to have dinner together at the awesome "vintage" island, watch a movie together in comfortable seating, and we added a portable table with a puzzle on it for everyone to do throughout the week. We especially loved the back porch and the pool. In the afternoons we would have charcuterie and drinks on the porch while still swimming and just hanging out! The decor is super cute (especially the little mouse holding the disposal sign!!) We loved reading the history of the house too! Despite the smallish size of the kitchen, we had all the utensils and appliances we needed to make dinner for a group of 6. The location is perfection. We could walk a little over a block to the beautiful beach, down to the dining/shopping area or easily catch the trolley to go wherever we wanted on the island. The vintage charm, the location and the great outdoor area is so unique and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Great beach house!

Heaven on AMI

If you are looking for a cozy home to rent on AMI, Our Blue Heaven is your place. Everything you need is there, and has been lovingly restored since the hurricanes.. The owners are a wonderful couple, and very attentive to anything you might need concerning the house. The beach is a short two block walk, shopping and restaurants are within walking distance as well. For days that are too windy at the beach, the private pool at the home is divine. We love Our Blue Heaven!

Heaven awaits.....

Loved, loved, loved our stay here. The house and pool could not have been more perfect! The trees and shrubs and wooden gate in the back yard made the ABSOLUTE PERFECT backdrop for our pictures. We would definitely go back for another stay!

Perfect vacation

This home helped make our vacation absolutely perfect! Great location with an easy walk to the beach which we went to almost every day and then came home and enjoyed the fabulous pool. Also within an easy walk of the trolley stops which we used multiple times to sight see and go out to eat on the occasions we didn’t use the well stocked kitchen. We would definitely return!

Great Time on AMI!

Great location with an incredible back patio and pool area. The house is well-stocked with housewares and most everything you need to enjoy the pool and beach. Katherine was very communicative leading up to and throughout our stay. We’d stay again!

Our families have been coming to Anna Maria Island since before the mainland bridges were constructed, coming onto the island by way of ferry! Needless to say, we are very attached and proud of our little island. We live in Tampa with our two children and look forward to time spent on AMI during the summer months.

Why they chose this property

Only a short, direct walk to the beautiful, pristine beaches of AnnaMaria Island, this home is centrally located, in a family friendly neighborhood with all of the conveniences of home. Three spacious bedrooms, two with queen size mattresses, the third with two double beds. Big closets, and plenty of drawers to fit comfortably for your stay. Two bathrooms are recently renovated. The master has a beautiful, tiled shower stall, the common bath, also renovated has a tub that's perfect for adults or children.

The kitchen is full of bright, natural light, with a big beautiful picture window We love to cook, so you should be able to find everything you need in this kitchen! The cozy family room is also full of natural light, looking into the large, covered porch in the center of the house. There is a full washer and drier adjacent to the kitchen.

We have a brand new, large, rectangular sized, heated pool. It also boasts a wide sundeck, perfect for setting a chair in and dipping your toes in the warm water while enjoying a book or a fruity drink!

The large, fenced yard can also be enjoyed from the cozy, covered porch which is accessible from the master and twin bedrooms as well as from the sliding glass doors of the common areas of the house. This is a great feature for cool, breezy beach days, as the doors tuck away and create a huge outdoor area to be enjoyed by the entire family!

Our home is a classic example of a typical old Florida home; a single-story concrete block home with Spanish tile, and terrazzo floors throughout. It sits on 2 lots, which leaves us with a great size yard both in the front and in the back of the house. We have proudly brought it beautifully up to date, but have decided to keep its original charm intact.
