My husband and I stayed in February and March with our dog and highly recommend this rental. Bob was very quick to respond to any questions and was happy to make our experience as best as possible. The house has 2 wonderful outdoor porches and we especially loved the front porch swing in the mornings sipping coffee and in the evening having a cocktail. The beds are comfy and the living room and kitchen were spacious. Everything was stocked well for a home meal. Sometimes it was a bit tricky trying to find street parking but we were happy to mostly bike everywhere or walk. There are so many restaurants and breakfast/ sandwich shops nearby. The roosters definitely crow throughout the very very early hours but when the A/C is blowing you can’t hear them at all. This was our 3rd year coming to Key West and the Conch Republic House was by far the best experience! We are coming back and already have signed up for another stay here. We highly recommend this vacation rental!
We highly recommend this property! We stayed for a month in Feb ‘24 and loved our stay. The property is in great shape and has everything needed for an extended stay. The local is exceptional, walking/biking distance to everything on the island but in the lovely Old Town neighborhood which is quiet from the noise of Duval St.
Bob was highly communicative throughout the booking process and the entire stay. All questions we had were responded to in a timely manner and he had a very helpful and detailed book on the property/location.
If you’re looking for a great stay in the historical Old Town neighborhood, look no further. We look forward to staying here again in the future!
This property is a great place to getaway for a month or more. It is stocked with everything that you will need for an extended stay with a full kitchen, laundry, high-speed internet, and plenty storage for everything you may bring with you.
The house is in an great neighborhood that's quiet and a quick bike ride to everything (monthly bike rentals are cheap and there is parking for them within the fence) so you can have the best of the beaches, restaurants, and night life with a quiet place to retreat to.
Bob's hospitality was great and he was super helpful thru the entire experience. I highly recommend his house.
The private home on Southard (pronounced Southered) was 5 blocks from Duval, 6 blocks from Faustos grocery, and 1/3 of a block to 5 Brothers Cuban coffee/deli.
You won’t need to drive while there. The homeowner was very responsive and familiar with the neighbors. A/C in Key West are not centraluzed and they worked well. The sheets on the Master bed were not cheap sheets which I really appreciated. The outdoor covered Laundry was.excellent and I let my items dry overnight on the deck. Key West is busy; if you’re a light sleeper the crowing roosters and zipping scooters might annoy you, but didn’t bother me. Many locals have ear plugs, but nothing woke me up in the bedroom except me!
I want to stay there again!
I stayed a month and got to know people around town, including volunterring every Fri morning to pickup trash with
