Lovely home in Capaccio (SA)

This spacious and cozy family house in Capaccio (Salerno) is only 5 km from Paestum. At your disposal are a large garden and a private pool (depth 2.50 m) from where you can admire the Sele valley, the Amalfi coast and part of the Cilento coast. Paestum is a famous archaeological site, surrounded by almost completely preserved walls and rich in monuments, such as the Greco-Roman temples and the Forum. The large sandy beaches of the Paestum coast are only 8 km away and invite you to spend pleasant days swimming! Also worth visiting is the beautiful Cilento National Park (35 km) with its museums and the charming towns of Castellabate, Acciaroli and Palinuro with its turquoise sea and some of the most beautiful beaches in Italy.

Splendid spot for family stay!

Highly recommend! Emmanuela is a wonderful and attentive hostess and the home is absolutely lovely. Plenty of room for ten adults who love to cook, eat and visit. We spent most of our time outdoors by the pool and around the outdoor dining table. As they were harvesting olives on the property during our stay, we were invited into the grove to see the process up close and visit with the harvesters. Emmanuela then brought us to the olive oil processing facility, where we were able to see the olives turned into oil. Capaccio is a handy home base for day trips to Napoli, Paestum and Pompeii. We appreciated the gated parking area and the lovely grounds where we observed many a beautiful sunset. We hope to return many times!

Excellent located large villa for extended family holidays

A large villa with ample room for a big group. All rooms large with good beds and storage. Terrace areas and furniture all adequate for the group size with good views looking over the area. Large pool and enough sun beds for all. Kitchen facilities adequate although some needed attention. Hostess excellent sorting out any problems and offering ideas for local things to do. One issue is that you cannot walk out easily for a meal as it is a little to far for young children. A car is essential. Local restaurants good and reasonable price. Beaches good long and sandy, mostly beach clubs but public areas available. Lots of interesting things to do in the area. A must is to visit Paestum and mozzarella farm and a trip to the caves and canoeing the gorge in the mountains. The villa does not have air con or fans so you need to be used to heat although keeping shutters closed does help. It is a typical Italian villa and so there are always issues with electric and water at times. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend the villa and beautiful area to other families.
