The host was so great! Communication was the best I have ever experienced. Checking in and out was so easy. They offered a late check out with no fees. Place was beautiful!
Location is good for what you get. State of the house was in a little poor condition in some areas, the stove was dirty and microwave handle was falling off, cabinets are loose when opening and had to wash the silverware we needed A/C in the kids room has mold over it couldn’t risk using that
Prior to us arriving, we were informed that there was an issue with the property we booked so we were upgraded to "the big house". It was absolutely amazing and we felt taken care of by the hosts who did not charge us more for the upgrade. We wish we could have stayed longer but it was an amazing night.

Rough Gem
Although this property has lots of potential, as a host, I would never offer a property for guests that is this cluttered, and downright dirty. Perhaps there is a cleaning service and they just did bare minimum, but the overwhelming smell of cat pee in the entry room, beyond dirty rugs, and dead plants surrounding the random foot massagers was more than our family could handle. We appreciate Carmen working with us to find a new place, but after talking with other highly unsatisfied neighbors recommend thinking twice before booking.
It was a perfect little house for our family a bit on the small side but that’s OK. The biggest problem was this house is some sort of storage unit for all the other properties on the beach, which took up way too much room in the house where we couldn’t put our stuff no house needs for leg massages two of them which did not work because we plugged them in just to make sure a lot of things didn’t work, but there was so much clutter of really cool things but way way way too much in the whole backyard was also a storage unit. Maybe you should block that part off so us Visitors don’t have to look at it upside down Jacuzzis old tables, chairs, fridges you name it other than that we love the spot and the little house but you guys need to find another storage unit for everything in there

Just barely ok
It said there was a beach view from bedroom, so we expected to see the beach but it was hidden by a big ciment wall. The place could be okay but the "clean" bedsheets smelled cigarette smoke, there was so much stuff everywhere, I had to clean up and put some away for us to have space to walk around, put our food and clothes away. I also cleaned the sticky surfaces. There is a yard but there's so much stuff, the space is not nice enough to sit and relax. Again, I put stuff away for the dog to have just a bit of space to lie down. The thermostat wasn't working. It was cold before the manager brought us some small plug-in heaters. There was a propane leak coming from the stove. On the positive side, the manager was kind. The wi-fi and TVs worked well. It was close to the beach for easy surfing accessibility. It was in a friendly neighbourhood. All in all, it barely did the job for that time and we won't be returning. Sorry :-(

Issues with the property
Not enough room in the bedrooms. No closet space. The drawers in dresser in the master room were dirty so we didn’t use them. Had a hard time trying to make the one bed in the front porch. Almost hurt my back. Too much clutter (furniture and nick Nacs) throughout the home. Dust on rocking chair and cob webs under the kitchen cabinets. Corner lazy susan is dirty as well. Dishes in the kitchen cabinets were dirty. What we used I hand washed before using it. Stove was a mess. Freezer wouldn’t shut unless the snow cone machine was moved. Refrigerator was dirty. Cooking utensils for grill were left outside and the one shelf for the grill was on top of the garbage can out back. We actually bought plastic cups and never cooked in the house or on the grill. The couch behind the shed is dangerous. It falls off the deck when trying to stand up and the end by the fence falls off the side. My father almost fell a couple of times. Saturday someone came and put an air conditioner in the room with the bunk beds and it was filthy. My husband cleaned it off as much as possible. We didn’t turn it on.
What a great house and spot for our group trip! Location made getting to the beach, restaurants, and the casino ballroom super easy and worry free. Upon arrival one quick phone call got us connected with the host and Carmen was able to help us through a small glitch within an hour which was amazing and so appreciated. We filled this little house with friendship, laugher, and amazing memories and loved our time here!
The photos on VRBo are not correct, they do nnot show the actual clutter and most of the shades are broken.
Other items are:
1. They said they could hold 8 to 10 but not enough plates for 8, they had to bring us (2) more.
2. The kicknacks were everywhere with no place to leave a phone or sunglasses.
3. The have so many salt lamps and other light up things, it took over 40 minutes to unplug them all. The person having to sleep in the living room could not sleep due to too much lighting. We live in Texas and the day before we checked in, they told us we needed our own sheets and towels. We were already in New Hamphsire at the time, my husband got them to bring us some.
4. The house has only one closet with a broken door and one side was full of stuff.
5. All the fans were dirty. The Pacman game did not work taking up space that was truly needed.
6. If they want you to recyle, we need, two trash cans. We traveled from Texas, Sweden and China. Not happy with the house but was stuck do to the fact our orginal rental had a fire.
7. No place to put suitcases except on the bed which you had to move and close to sleep.
8. In a small kitchen, they had 2 knife sets and 2 sets of silverware. One of each would free up some space.
9. Carpets were curling up in two bedrooms. we fixed with double sided tape to remove the risk of tripping anyone and making closing and opening the door less difficult.
10. The rocking chair in front bedroom had no room to rock in it.
11. Two of the stove burners did not work (left front & right rear).
The oven has not been cleaned in a very long time. I washed area rugs they were so dirty and they did come clean. The washer was milldew and it has not been cleaned in a long time. I left a hot pink hair dryer for the house since they said they had one which they did but it was for a foreign plug! We also found a watch and a pair of glasses that we left on the kitchen table. The photos showed make beds wtih bedspreads notthing says welcome like up made beds and here make your own. I would like to send photos do who ever checks on your VRBO the house needs a head to toe cleaning which has not been done in a long time. The only two things clean was the refrigerator and parts of the bathroom. If it would have been clean and less knicknacks it would have made the trip much better.
Please tell me where to send my photos or the owners email he may not realize how dirty his house is. Ron and Marie
Very welcoming and comfortable...a great place to relax!
The location is A+ with so much to do...even in February! We saw surfers, walked the beach, skated in Portsmouth, and enjoyed the local food. We enjoyed the games, movies and massage chair with lots of evening entertainment!
