About this property

We love York and believe that you will too. Our cottage is nestled at the end of a quiet dead-end street, an easy 10 minute walk to both Short Sands and Long Sands and all the attractions of York. Enjoy breakfast on the porch while planning your day or after a day at the beach, relax with a glass of wine in front of the gas fireplace. The queen bedroom has a full private bath with a walk-in shower. The twin bedroom has a full private bath with tub and shower. There is also an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach. Heat and central air will keep you comfortable in any season. Outside you will find a gas grill and a fire pit. Generous parking included for 3-4 cars. Internet and WiFi connect throughout the cottage. TV available in the living room and each bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to cook meals. Our local property manager is nearby to respond to any problems and we are also available by phone and text to answer your questions. Atlantis Lane is perfect for a family with children, a girls' weekend, or for older family members who prefer a single floor (note: there are 3 steps to get into the house).

Beautiful home with easy access to everything

This was one of the nicest and well kept properties we have stayed in. The owners were easy to communicate with and the location can't be beat. Our kids even proclaimed that "these are the most comfortable beds ever" - high praise from 20 somethings! We'd love to go back and stay here again. Thank you!

Great to return to this gem of a house

This is our second time staying here and both times were perfect. Great house - the ideal size for our needs. Everything is in excellent condition. It's very tastefully decorated. And the location is very good. We especially loved the fireplace for this time of year. And the owners are accommodating and responsive. We hope to return soon.

This was a wonderful place!

We were here for 3 days. We could have stayed all summer long, Everything in here was top-notch. All of the appliances, flooring, dishware and bedding were above expectations. Close distance to the beach area, which was also very lovely.

Cozy stay

Our stay in York was wonderful, The Griffin house was immaculate and very clean. It had everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable beds, and cozy comfy furniture in the main area. We would certainly stay here again if we were on the east coast.

Beautiful cozy cottage!

This is an impeccable rental. Everything is thoughtfully designed, the fireplace is so nice in the winter, the kitchen is well appointed if you want to cook, the showers have great water pressure, and the beds are super comfortable with very nice linens. Everything is clean and the rooms are nicely spaced so you can have privacy if you want. Both the property manager and the owner are very communicative and helpful. We were almost snowed in due to a storm and they were very flexible and understanding. 10/10 would highly recommend and would come back. The location is also great and they provide good restaurant recommendations.

Perfect getaway

The property is the perfect getaway for anyone travelling to the area. It's immaculate and virtually all new with everything you might need for your stay. We were in York for a wedding and only stayed two nights, but we wished we could stay longer. We highly recommend it.

Cozy Cottage Retreat

We loved our cottage and the location felt very safe. We thought it was exactly what we needed to be centrally located near the beach and all the surrounding little towns within 15 minutes of the cottage. We went to the Ogunquit playhouse and Kennebunkport which is a must!!! We had a wonderful brunch at the York Harbour Inn and dinner at the Old Village Inn…. Amazing food and historical ambiance!!!

High Quality Comfort!

Second year in a row for us - it's just such a nice place with a great location and design. Main floor everything - easy access - walk-in shower - quiet A/C (mini-splits). Our large extended family rents 4 or 5 places in York every summer - and we take turns with cookouts after spending the days at Short Sands. There's plenty of parking and the front porch and side yard fire pit allow plenty of space for fun.

Loved it!

Been staying at rental homes since before VRBO even became a "thing", so we have significant experience. This home is just what you want from a Maine rental! Tastefully decorated. Extremely clean. Hot water (I'm a bath person). Excellent location. Three TVs! Easy check-in process. Lovely outdoor seating area. Quiet area. Would definitely rent here again!

Great home for a get-away

The home is quality all the way - fitted with great furniture, appliances, etc. and stylishly decorated. The hosts clearly stay on top of the place. It was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. They're also very friendly and responsive. The home is on a quiet street and not far from downtown and the beach. Overall, a great choice.

Quality and Comfort!

Very high quality/high end - everything - kitchen appliances - cookware - bedding - grilling - web/tv/sound system - showers - everything. The decor was well thought out - such an easy place to relax - but also to keep neat and clean. Close to both beaches and good access to Route 1.

A Maine attraction

This was what you want from a VRBO property. Over deliver on expectations yet hit the wallet with less force than would be expected. Everything was top notch. Great interior with latest appliances, etc. The location was a little tough to find initially at night, but east to get to overall. The owners were easy to contact and very pleasant.

Excellent property ideally situated to explore southern Maine

This 2BR, 2BA house was luxuriously appointed, new, and a very comfortable home which served as our base to explore southern Maine with relatives visiting from Europe. Furnishings and fixtures are top notch, all the beds very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’d ever need, again, all top quality. We had a great time, and this home just added to our overall enjoyment. The owner was easy to work with and answered all my questions promptly, from initial inquiry to checking out. I’d recommend it without reservation!

Beautiful cottage with everything you could want!

A few co-workers from different states came together for a weekend. We knew each other only through zoom. The cottage was private enough where we could have private space. We had everything we needed. It was walking distance to short sands with cute little shops, Pubs and restaurants. Parking in town was $2 an hour if you don’t want to walk. Clean, modern and convenient. Hope to come back!

Beautiful place, short drive to ocean

This little house is beautifully furnished and suited our family perfectly for a week long getaway. Guests included myself, my husband, two kids (almost 2 & 4.5 yrs), and my mom. We absolutely loved the place and it’s only about a 3 min drive to short sands which is where we wanted to be with the kiddos. The property manager was super responsive and accommodated a crib for us. Really only minor complaint was some issues with the front screen door but otherwise loved everything about it! We’ll be back!

Girls Weekend Away

Girls Weekend Away 2023! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with the impeccable cleanliness and the attention to detail that had gone into making our rental a welcoming and comfortable space. It was clear that Craig and Amanda had thought of everything we might need, and we appreciated the fully-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and cozy fireplace. One of the highlights of our trip was the meditations by the fireplace. It was the perfect way to relax and unwind for a couple of moms looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and kids. We will definitely be back next year.

Welcome to Atlantis Lane. My name is Craig Griffin. I live in MA with my wife Amanda, although we both grew up in rural NH. We have three young boys, seven year-old twins and a five year-old. It is our goal to provide you with a comfortable vacation home where you can relax, play, and enjoy time together in a beautiful environment.

Why they chose this property

After vacationing for years in southern Maine we purchased our Atlantis Lane cottage in 2021. The town of York is an easy ride from MA and NH, has beautiful beaches and lots of family-friendly activities. Our cottage is near the action (shops, restaurants, beaches etc) but located in a quiet and peaceful area on a dead-end street. The cottage is brand new and everything is fresh, clean and in good working order.

What makes this property unique

One the best things about Atlantis Lane is the ability to easily park 3-4 cars and be within walking distance to the beach and the town of York. No more hassle with parking meters or parking tickets.
