The cabin was in a lovely wooded location with gorgeous views. The house itself was very cozy, well-appointed, and immaculate. We enjoyed cozying up by the fire surrounded by the Christmas decor! The owner was communicative and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

We vacation near Asheville every fall and have now found our favorite vacation home and view. Jason was a superb host and was in contact with helpful information on arrival and departure. The home is spacious, comfortable, and has a well-appointed kitchen. Hiking trails are close by and the neighborhood is sooo quiet! We will definitely return

Great stay! This is a wonderful property and just like the photos. BEAUTIFUL sunset view. Great location that is easily accessible to Cashiers, Highlands or Brevard with so many opportunities for recreation nearby. Clean, well appointed home with comfortable beds & pillows. Well stocked kitchen. Lovely gas fireplace which made for cozy evenings. We hope to be back often.

This is a beautiful location, great views off the deck to watch sunset. It has a well equipped kitchen if you are going to do any cooking. All the beds are comfortable and the host is quick to respond to any questions. We had a great stay.

Mountain Getaway

We’ve stayed at several different properties in the area and this one is by far superior. This is definitely the only place we will book for future trips. The home is conveniently located, well maintained and very clean. The back deck and view are the best feature. Perfect spot for a relaxing getaway.

Jason & Sharon have been coming to the NC mountains for years but purchased the Whitewater Whispers house in 2021. They have enjoyed spending more time in Sapphire and getting to know the area and using the amenities!

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this house when we walked through the door and saw the vast mountain views of the Horsepasture River Valley, and then walked out to the back deck and heard the shoals of the river from the deck. Combine that with the pools, skiing, golf, and mini golf at Sapphire Valley Resort, this has been a perfect mountain retreat for our family. We hope that it is for yours!

What makes this property unique

Look forward to preparing delectable home-cooked meals in the home’s clean, well-appointed kitchen, which comes fully equipped with all the essential cooking appliances, including granite countertops, dishwasher, and full size refrigerator. Enjoy family meals around the dining table or head out outside to the deck, where you can dine al fresco overlooking the mountains. Master and guest bedrooms both have king size beds, third bedroom has twin over full bunk bed and a twin bed. The master bathroom features double sinks, a large whirlpool tub, and a stand-alone shower. The second bathroom has a tub shower combination and double sinks. The well-appointed full-sized kitchen has plenty of cabinet space, granite countertops, a dishwasher and a full size refrigerator. The large den has a stacked stone gas fireplace. A large porch spans the backside of the house with access from the master, den and guest room, has a screened porch and is partially covered. Enjoy the gas grill, the swing and the view! Wifi, 3 smart TVs, cable, full sized washer & dryer, central heat & air. Perfect for couples and family getaways. Sleeps 6-8 comfortably.
