Perfect location! Excellent property!!

I booked this location without knowing much about Kona. This property and the location turned out to be absolutely perfect. The condo was a nice size for our family of six. Property was clean and nice. I woke up every morning with the most beautiful view of palm trees and the ocean in front of me as I lay in bed. I love all of the lanais. The property is really quiet, which was nice. Parking was great. The closet is filled with equipment for activities. We had enough masks, snorkels, and fins for snorkeling, beach, chairs, and beach umbrellas. There’s a great snorkeling reef that is one block from the condo. We would walk down And go snorkeling in the morning. So awesome! The property management company was very communicative with me and made everything very easy. I would highly recommend this property!!

Sunsets from the lanai and the beach steps away!

Wonderful location here, Kahalu'u is a great beach for snorkeling and easy surfing. The condo overlooks all of this and was a great home base for exploring the Kona coast!

I’d stay here again!

We loved everything about this property. It is in a nice neighborhood. It has 4 outdoor seating areas/decks. The master bedroom has a great view of the ocean. There is a grocery store and some restaurants 1 minute away. There is a great place to snorkel right across the street and the owner has several sets of snorkeling gear (masks, snorkels, fins, water shoes) that renters can use as well as beach chairs, umbrellas, and coolers. This place has everything you need for a great vacation. Only one bedroom has air conditioning but I was comfortable using the fan and sleeping with the sliding doors open. Huge Space, Lots To Do

The keyless entry is a little tricky, but the place itself is huge -- lots of space to spread out, many lanai spaces (though the screen doors universally need new rollers). We spent mornings on the lanai, watching birds we'd never seen before in the palm trees on site, saw mongooses and many sweet cats in the parking lot. Very lovely place, close to a park. The one drawback: no AC except in one bedroom, though the breezes and fans certainly helped.

Family vacation

Great location next to a snorkeling beach. This property worked perfect for our family of 6 as we had everything we needed to enjoy the island. We really only slept here and ate breakfast as we used this location as our hub to explore. Sunsets were great on the lanai and the ocean breezes kept it very comfortable at night. Communication with the hosts were timely and I would definitely recommend this location/hosts for any families wanting to explore the big island.

Nice place, nice location

Location and unit was great. The only issue we had was the microwave did not work. Worked out as a great base to see the rest of the Big Island during our stay.

Perfect location, Amazing view!

The master suite was absolute paradise! A corner unit with sliding doors on both sides, where you could listen to the ocean, the birds, and enjoy the most amazing view. Very spacious living room, and enclosed outdoor eating area. Being so close to the best snorkeling beach on the whole island, it was so nice just to walk there without having to worry about valuables.

Great location

This place is perfect for 2 couples or small family. Very large patios and lots of space for all. Nice pool and bbq area. Front bedroom is ideal with views and breeze. Back bedroom is ok with ac. Right in the middle of everything Cons: Dreaded ants got into everything Pricey so look at different rental sights for different prices.

Spacious condo with great views directly across from the beach. Great location, close to restaurants and shopping. Condo has all the necessities, beach gear, chairs, snorkels. Love the 3 lanais and 2 full baths. Building grounds were very clean. Ample parking.

Four Lanais and Great Location and Sunsets!

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was exactly as described. Our view was really nice and we snorkeled several times at Kahaluu Beach down the road. The condo had several sets of fins and snorkeling gear but we brought our own. It was very spacious for my family of four. 🙂

Kona Dreams

We were transfixed by the amazing sunsets on our porch and made it a point to be in our spacious accommodations at that point in the day. Thank you for a wonderful time. We each had our own suite and the lanais offered privacy and a place to feast. The screened in area was great and all of the rooms were open to the beautiful breezes. The icing on the cake was walking down to the beach with amazing snorkeling…really amazing, turtles and all. Finally, from a spiritual lens being right above a Heiau as we reflected on the day was beautiful.

Spacious and spotless!!

We love this building and the very spacious layouts of the end condos. This one is on the south side so it gets pretty warm—something we manage by closing drapes. But this condo is absolutely in tip-top shape with VERY tasteful decor! Our stay was short but a great pleasure.

Beautiful Condo

Super clean, roomy, comfortable beds, great ocean view. Excellent snorkeling right across the street. Would definitely stay here again. Be aware that there are NO kitchen items other than utensils, pots, pans, etc. We had to purchase salt and pepper. Also, A/C is a stand-alone unit in one bedroom. No central A/C. But there are big ceiling fans and ocean breeze so it was fine.

minutes walk from snorkeling at kahaluu bay

easy check-in. clean unit. were only provided with a minimum of TP, scented laundry pods, & dishwasher pods. two dining chairs had broken arms. one bar stool was quite wobbly. no roasting pan, cooktop cleanser, nor wine glasses; requested and all were supplied two days later. wall oven LED virtually unreadable, but oven worked. wall microwave did not work, but second (countertop) microwave did. numerous lanais; one with ocean/sunset view. variety of snorkeling equipment provided. no paper/cardboard/wine bottle recycling. no jacuzzi. new gas grill.

Perfect vacation

Arrived home today after speeding 8 blissful nights in our wonderful VRBO condo in Kona! The condo was fully stocked above and beyond what we considered necessary. I think many other renters over the years must have bought items to use then left them for the next renter to use. Very considerate. The location of this condo is perfect. Close enough to downtown Kona to be able to go out to eat there or shop the fun farmer’s markets. You’re far enough away that you’re out of the congestion and noise, but close enough to go into town everyday if you so desire. The area where the condo is located is very quiet. You’re also within walking distance to the best snorkeling bay on the island of Hawaii if not on all of the Hawaiian islands. It’s Like swimming in an aquarium, only with warm water that you can basically always stand up in no matter how far out you follow the fish. There is a small shopping center right around the corner with a grocery store and several restaurants not to mean a post office and gas station. All in all a great rental that we plan on renting again soon.

Quite warm, but spacious and well stocked

Instructions for check in came in plenty of time and were detailed and easy. When we first arrived, it was about 7:30 PM and when we first walked in the door, I couldn’t believe how hot it was. I know it was locked up during the day before our arrival but it was so hot! Also, it was not clear to me in the description that there is only an AC window unit in ONE of the bedrooms. When AC is listed in the amenities, to me that means the place is air conditioned. Luckily the other bedroom has two sliding doors (because it has two lanais) and gets a good cross breeze to cool off at night. But the living room stays quite warm and so do the bathrooms. Just be aware. One bed had a fitted sheet that had multiple large shredded holes and there is a lot of dust built up throughout but otherwise it was clean and has a nicely stocked kitchen (dishes and cookware, not food or condiments). We also had plenty of toilet paper, dish soap and laundry soap and we were grateful for that! The living room closet has all the beach gear- 2 body boards, 4 beach chairs and a few more camp-style folding chairs, a few noodles, a beach umbrella, snorkel gear for at least 2 people, 2 small cooler bags, some inflatable float tubes and a pump, and several beach towels. We loved having all that!!! The fans in all areas are nice and big and quiet. The furniture is clean and comfortable. Tip for owner: an extra sitting chair in the living room would be nice for watching movies to give a bit more seating. Area was fairly quiet aside from the roosters (that roam everywhere in Hawaii anyway) and a dog barking in one of the units (but not all the time and not through the night). Great location, just a few minutes (about 5) to walk to the beach. Snorkeling at Kahalu’u Bay was excellent. Covered parking is so nice. Overall great stay. Just be aware it’s quite warm inside. It would get down to about 73-75 at night while we were here in mid-September.
