About this property

La Vigneraie - FUISSE

Coming from a family of winegrowers for 5 generations, "from mother to daughter or almost" as she likes to point out, Sophie opens the doors to an original country house from 1953, restored, imbued with a sweet family history, with typical "fifties" architecture, nestled on the edge of vineyards on the small family wine estate of 4.5 ha that she operates with her husband according to the principles of organic farming (several AOCs from the Mâconnais including the famous Pouilly-Fuissé & Saint-Véran / visit & tasting possible on request). Peace and quiet in the unspoiled Mâconnais countryside, nestled in a peaceful residential hamlet just a stone's throw from the picturesque village center of Fuissé, steeped in charm (flagship of the famous Pouilly-Fuissé vintage), nestled in an exceptional landscaped setting, in the hollow of a bucolic valley of vineyards overlooked by the wooded ridges of a forest protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone" & ZNIEFF for its rich fauna and flora. Sumptuous panorama and surrounding landscapes. Beautiful wine-growing setting, totally calming and relaxing. Spacious and comfortable cottage. Warm, country character, a touch of "vintage." Vast courtyard (literally a natural pétanque court) offering a terrace-garden area (artificial turf) & a large sheltered terrace (with summer kitchen). Composition: Detached house adjoining the owners' house & a second family home occupied year-round on a small wine estate (complete independence including access). Wi-Fi. Gas central heating. Washing machine + tumble dryer in laundry room on the ground floor of the house (access from outside). Gîte on the 1st floor (access by outside staircase): living room-kitchen-lounge, 2 bedrooms (double bed 160x200cm in each / 1 also including a futon-type sofa bed 120x200cm as an extra) with private bathroom (shower-WC / 1 with separate WC). Terrace + sheltered terrace + bicycle storage + private parking. Amenities & shops 6 km. Supermarket 6.5 km. Stay in the very heart of the magnificent vineyards of the renowned Pouilly-Fuissé & Saint-Véran vintages! Country house from 1953 with typical "fifties" architecture nestled on a small family wine estate of 4.5 ha operated according to the principles of organic farming, a stone's throw from the center of the picturesque wine-growing village of Fuissé located 6 km from the commercial town of Charnay-les-Mâcon (supermarket 6.5 km) & 9 km from Mâcon, the southernmost city of Burgundy nestled on the banks of the Saône (lined by the Voie Bleue adjoining the EuroVélo17 & "ViaRhôna" cycle routes). Peace and quiet in the heart of the Mâconnais countryside, nestled in the hollow of a sublime hilly setting of bucolic vineyard hillsides and beautiful wild forests (largely protected in "Natura 2000 Zone" & ZNIEFF for its rich ecosystems) in the extension of the sumptuous neighboring landscaped jewel of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson labeled "Grand Site de France" (located 4.5 km away), neighboring the vineyards of the renowned "Val Lamartinien" (named after the famous French poet and politician, illustrious guest of the place), facing the wooded foothills of the South Burgundy massif. Ultra-privileged location at the very southern tip of Burgundy, overlooking the Saône valley at the crossroads of the vineyards of southern Mâconnais & northern Beaujolais (first vineyard in the world recognized as a "UNESCO Global Geopark" / vast marked mountain bike area to discover on the massif), ideally located on the routes of the "Burgundy Wines" route (Côtes Mâconnaises, extending various Beaujolais wine routes), the Romanesque churches circuit, the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de la Saône-et-Loire by bike) & marked hiking trails including a "green walk" (very rich network of hiking trails of the same type to discover in the surrounding area, between vineyards & nature), 1.5 km from the GR76, 3.5 km from the Green Way of "la Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud" (& its remarkable "Tunnel du Bois Clair" located 16 km away, the longest former railway tunnel in France open to a Green Way with its 1.6 km) & 18 km of the renowned GTM mountain bike route labeled "VTT FFC" (Grand Tour du Massif Sud Bourgogne connected to a vast network of identical mountain bike trails crisscrossing the massif). Prime location for exploring (A6 & RCEA connection 5.5 km): 4.5 km from Mâcon Loché TGV station, 15 km from Touroparc Zoo animal park, 16 km from "Hameau Dubœuf" (1st theme park on vines & wine in Europe), 25 km from the illustrious abbey city of Cluny, 27 km from Vonnas (gastronomic village of Georges Blanc), 29 km from Beaujeu (historic capital of Beaujolais), 35 km from the medieval village of Brancion, 38 km from Villefranche-sur-Saône, 44 km from Tournus, 44 km from Bourg-en-Bresse & 56 km from Charolles. Exceptional landscaped setting in close proximity to all amenities!
