Property was spacious and comfortable for the six of us. Extremely well appointed. Great to have the pool facility and air conditioning was welcome in the evenings. We enjoyed our daily walks to the local village for provisions and coffee, and visiting the local area including Lyon.

Lovely house and grounds. Was a heatwave when we were there and the house is well adapted to it - thick walls, a/c in all the bedrooms, an effective ceiling fan in the living room and most of all a large pool with some seating in the shade. Everything you need on site for a family holiday - ping pong table, children's toys, bikes, BBQ etc. Parking is covered as well which helps with getting kids into the car on a hot day. Owners very helpful in case of questions.

Lovely house in a beautiful setting

The property ideally suited our group (3 couples) but would be equally good for families with youngsters. Very well equipped with an excellent pool and lovely garden.

Fantastic property, lovely big pool and spacious level garden.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful week here in August. The house is spacious, very clean and well equipped. Lovely big pool and garden which we were able to make full use of in the hot weather and the air conditioning in the bedrooms was a huge bonus! Briar and Michel were on hand to help if needed and made us feel very welcome. We would love to stay here again.

Beautiful location near village

We had a wonderful week’s stay in this very comfortable house. Comfortable beds in good-sized bedrooms. Very nice pool and pool area with plenty of loungers. So nice to have pool towels provided. Everything we needed in general and very nice extras like bicycles, table tennis, boules. Michel was very kind and helpful. Beautiful area with lots to see, we need to go back! A bit of noise from the road but that is made up for by the short distance to the village. Definitely recommend this property!

Lovely house great stay

Had a lovely time here. Michael and Briar are really helpful and give great instructions. They even booked our dogs mandatory vet appointment which was really kind. The property is lovely rooms are all great size and air conditioning in all bedrooms which was fantastic. The photos are accurate but actually when in the house it is even nicer than the impression the photos give. The pool is great good temperature and lots of sun loungers and seating. Lots of things such as boules , table tennis, toys and books. We'll definitely come again.

Beautiful property in the midst of the vineyards

This is a lovely property, with very kind and attentive hosts. We loved the pool, and the house itself has wonderful charm and character, as well as being spotlessly clean and very well equipped throughout. Briar and Michel are very knowledgeable about the wine making process, and gave us some excellent advice on places to go to for tasting wine. Excellent 50m outdoor swimming pool in Belleville. If you visit the water park in Villefrance, don't forget your tight swimming trunks, or you won't be allowed in! (The nearby Decathlon sells very cheap ones, in extremis....)

A little piece of heaven

We have just returned from what we all agreed was one of our best holidays ever, and Domaine de la Fleur de Bruyere was the chief reason for that. A beautiful home with vineyards coming up to the door, there is a spot to relax in the extensive gardens and pool area for every time of day and evening, sun or shade. We shall not forget the dramatic sunrises and sunsets. The house is so comfortable and well equipped it feels as though you are staying in someone's home and they just walked out - in fact they probably have, as the welcoming owners live in the other wing, never obtrusive but always on hand with advice, help and friendly conversation. We very much enjoyed a couple of evenings in their company. We were three and occasionally four couples - parents, sons and partners, plus friends - but would love to come again perhaps when we are three generations. It would be perfect for children too. An absolute gem of a place.

A Wonderfull stay !

a fantastically relaxing holiday at " la fleur de bruyere", not a holiday rental, a home from home! the facilities are outstanding, pool is fab, the house is beautiful and well furnished and the decor well thought of, the gardens and courtyard are great too but it is more the extra touches provided by Briar and Michel that make this place so special. everything you may need is there, from kitchen utensils to condiments, WIFI that actually works and the choice to watch UK channels or improve your French watching local TV. All the linen, even pool towels are there, if you need anything just ask Michel or Briar and they are more than happy to help. Bikes, toys for kids, pooltoys and barbecue with charcoal and lighters! all you would need is there, in fact, we got to the house Saturday morning and were allowed in early so just went food shopping in the nearby town of belleville, dropped the food in the big kitchen and then relaxed for a week! Numerous members of my family joined us during our stay enjoying the pool and late lunch in the shade of the chestnut tree, all commented on how Wonderfull the house was. we stayed with our dog Lola who was also welcomed, the entire gardens and pool are secured making things easy. Biar and Michel made us feel so welcome and are a wealth of knowledge on what to do and where to go in the region. All in all a fantastic holiday away from the crowds, surrounded by vineyards and beautiful views of the collines du Beaujolais. Would we go back again? Absolutely.

Perfekte Ferien

Wir haben die Zeit in diesem wunderschönen Haus sehr genossen. Es hat uns allen (7 Personen zwischen 11 Jahren und 70 Jahren, plus Hund) an nichts gefehlt. Der Empfang war herzlich und wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Die Aufteilung der Räume war optimal für uns. Die Küche mit Esstisch und Sofa war auch sehr gemütlich. Der Garten ist wunderschön und sehr vielfältig. Es gibt überall schöne Sitzplätze zum verweilen. Der Pool ist sehr grosszügig und auch die Landschaft neben dem Pool (Liegestühle, Lounge) war grosszügig und gemütlich. Es hat viel für die Freizeitbeschäftigung (PingPong, Pétangue, Federball, Pool, etc... ). Auch der Fussballplatz mit den schönen Sitzgelegenheiten war super. Auch habe ich es sehr genossen, dass man vom Haus aus direkt in den Rebbergen war, wo man schöne Hundespatziergänge machen konnte. Zu Fuss ist man auch schnell im Dorf, wo wir aber nicht viel waren, da wir das Haus&Garten so genossen haben. Briar und Michel sind sehr freundlich und stehen für Fragen stets zur Verfügung. Sie wohnen auch dort, aber die ganze Gartenanlage hat man für sich selbst. Den Weintasting-Abend mit ihnen haben wir alle sehr genossen. Sie sind wirklich grossartige Gastgeber. Herzlichen Dank euch beiden und wir werden sicher mal wieder kommen. Wir können dieses Haus vollumfänglich weiterempfehlen.

Magical country house in the vines

We stayed for two weeks with our young kids, our parents, and several sets of friends who came through for a few days. The house was comfortable for all with plenty of rooms and privacy. We cooked most nights in the well appointed kitchen and greatly enjoyed the lovely garden. But the pool was extraordinary! The pool deck has shade and plenty of chairs, the pool is covered so it’s warm and clean, and we swam almost every day. Michel, the owner, was friendly and helpful, but also gave us space. He helped our fiends whose car blew a tire to find a mechanic to fix it, which saved the day. I highly recommend this lovely home.

A perfect base for exploring the Beaujolais region .

A wonderful gîte. This past week has been very memorable for all the right reasons. We had everything we could possibly need… and more. Location, facilities and equipment was first class. Michel, our host was unobtrusive but always on hand for any advice and suggestions on places to visit, restaurants and particularly the local wine and vineyards.

Wonderful family holiday accommodation

Beautiful garden with a lot of space for everyone, big and clean pool. Accommodation is fully equiped and lovely decorated.
