Adorable place. Booked it for my niece and I got a the weekend. Sooo close to the park/trails etc. Also loved that it was so close to the adorable Country store/diner. AND we walked down to Schluterman's ATV rental one morning to go on the tour with him! Great firepits, grill and patios for just being in nature. Thank you Monica!
This was a cute little house with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. What I appreciated the most was the quantity of towels and wash cloths provided. Beds were very comfortable and the living room was cozy with great tv program access.
Great stay for me, the boyfriend and our dog. It was very close to Mt. Magazine which was the purpose of our trip. The bed was comfy as was the dual recliners in the living room.
It was short, but perfect for going up on Mt. Magazine for my class reunion

The house was clean. The beds comfortable. We were hiking in the Mt. Magazine park and the house was very convenient. It is a truly beautiful part of the state.
This property was exactly what we hoped for. Had a beautiful view of the mountains. Out of town, but not too far. We hope to stay at this property again, possibly in the fall.
We chose this cottage because it's similar to our own home... small, cozy, an older home, off the beaten path, quiet, and surrounded by nature. We loved it! It's so easy to access Mt Magazine State Park as well as a nearby lake. And close to Paris for eating out. Be sure to check out the soap company and coffee roastery in Paris!
Love it. Great location. This is one of the oldest homesteads on the mountain. Reminds you of grandmas house. When you do what we do, you will love it!!! Riding in Mount Magazine area on UTV was supercool. Lots to see
Monica was great
Location is wonderful, 15min drive to state park of magazine, which balances other factors. House is clean, surrounding is super serene, horses and dogs were around like your family members.
Only one bathroom gives some hassle to families. Cooking wares are very limited. Wasps are hived around front porch but friendly, that added country style more.
We stayed there for 4 days. The location is amazing, a very quiet neighborhood. We love to spend time outside sitting on the firepit while enjoying the views.
As regards the house, it is not luxurious but it is functional and comfortable. The kitchen is not super complete and we love cooking so I would add a liitle more.
The owner came immediately to help us fix wi fi. Very kind of her!
For sure, I will recommend this place to anyone that wants to go and enjoy some peacefulness!
This was my first time using VRBO. Monica was very helpful and quickly responded to all my questions. She came quickly to reset the internet when I messed it up. Only downsides to the place are that it’s right off the highway, but it’s not that busy. Also there’s a bright light in the yard that can’t be turned off, so blackout curtains I. The bedrooms would be nice. But those are small things compared to the wonderful yard with fire rings and proximity to nature!
We had an amazing time, and it's less than a mile to the gas station which has great food and easy access to the off road trails. The beds were super comfortable and I'm picky, the kitchen was stocked with all of the cooking utensils you would need. Couches fold into beds, and the property is beautiful. We loved everything about our stay. Walmart and grocery stores are an easy drive, the lake is beautiful and the hosts were very eager to answer any questions.
