The house was spacious and for the most part, comfortable. The air conditioning remote did not work in the master bedroom, and there was only a key for the front door deadbolt. We had to ask for a key for the back door of the main part of the house. While the concierge was welcoming and helpful, we did have to wait longer than expected for him to respond.

We sincerley apologize if some things were not up to your satisfacation. I did reach out to you via email as soon as I saw this to apologize in person but did not get a reply back. The factory remote for the AC unit in the king bedroom did stop working prior to your arrival and we immediately ordered a replacement 'factory remote' and also purchased a 'universal remote' in town that was working, inititally. Our concierge was able to turn on the unit with that remote and it appeared to be working at that point. But then sometime during your stay, to my understanding, it failed to work but then also during your stay the original factory remote finally arrived and our concierge went out and replaced the universal remote with the factory remote which was working. That one unit is a different brand than the other 4 AC units in the house, so we didn't have a spare remote to use. We've since ordered an extra factory remote for that one unit as well, in case we have this issue again in the future. We now have back-up remotes for all 5 AC units to avoid this problem going forward. All of the keys to all doors were hanging near the front entry door and are labeled. We are sorry for any inconveniene that may have caused you, and if that was not clearly communicated to you. Our concierge does run his own rental home just up the hill from us and has eighty-nine VRBO all '10 star' reviews so we are confident that our guests are in 'good hands' there and we are sorry if he was unable to respond as quickly as you needed him to for this issue. This has not been an issue in the past with other guests and many have left great reviews, specific to the concierge. Once again, we do offer our apologies and have taken measures to make sure these issues do not come up again. Wayne - owner

Lovely stay on the East side

We just returned from our St. Croix vacation and had an absolutely fabulous time. This property is extremely private and affords some gorgeous views of Grapetree Bay and beautiful sunsets. Truly Perfect

Six of us adults had a lovely ten day stay. One couple used the downstairs apartment which they liked, especially its terrace. The house is simply and charmingly decorated, and that endless veranda was even more beautiful than the photos. Good hiking and swimming are close by. We hope to return!

A Magnificent Home

We could not have found a more perfect, serene location for our family getaway! The home is situated on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea on the south eastern side of the island. Enjoying morning coffee and evening sunsets to the sounds of crashing waves on turquoise waters was amazing. The house is spacious and well appointed with everything you need. The entire experience was perfect and I highly recommend staying here if you can.

The VIEWS!!!

Simply Amazing!

The view, the house, the host, all amazing!!! You can’t go wrong with this property. It exceeded our expectations in so many ways. We had the best time. Highlight of our trip was our many encounters with turtles. Saw them mating off the balcony, laying eggs on the beach, even swam with them at the pier. Can’t wait to come back! Perfect for our trip

Party of 6 (Adults, late teens, and 10 yo). We have been to the island a few times and prefer to stay on the quiet east end. Sara was great - laid out check in process, stayed in touch ahead of trip, walked thru property, offered assistance, etc. house had great views and offered pretty much everything you would need. Everyone was comfortable with the space and had plenty of rooms/beds to get a little break from one another. Great trip! Thanks again!!!!

We are late career educators and tropical fruit farmers from South Florida who very much enjoy life in the tropics, the sea, and the beaches.

Why they chose this property

We chose to purchase this charming house primarily because of the fabulous location. The house its high up on a cliff, overlooking the Caribbean Sea (Grapetree Bay). Besides the spectacular views from the deck of the home, you also can constantly hear the waves crashing below and feel and smell the clean ocean breeze 24/7. It is only a 5-10 minute walk to Jack's Beach which is located inside the Nature Conservancy preserve which is behind the house to the east. You can also walk to Isaac's Beach and cover miles of trails inside the preserve. It is a 10 minute walk or a 30 second drive down to Grapetree Beach, which is also very beautiful and not very occupied. The area is very quiet, not busy at all, with very little traffic, and you often times have the beaches to yourself, we've found.
