Completed in 2009 Villa Santa Cruz is full of modern amenities but steeped in a rich and storied history. Our hideaway is located on 'Columbus Landing' beach, named for the place where Columbus anchored 17 ships on his second voyage in 1493. Columbus, as the discoverer of this island, gave it it's original name, 'Santa Cruz' or Holy Cross. Though the island took the derivative of St. Croix later, the property carries the name 'Santa Cruz' in honor of the first visit and the original name of the Caribbean isle. The view was amazing! The house was great, plenty of room for everyone. Table was big enough for eight people to play cards every night(chairs could use a cushion) great memories! Had a few minor issues the biggest one was air in living room didn't work, Austin tried his best to get it fixed but was unable to. Other than that it was perfect best family vacation ever! We will defiantly stay here again.

Our family had an awesome stay at Villa Santa Cruz. The house and pool are beautiful and were perfect for the adults and kids. The Villa is about a 15 minute drive from the airport, Christiansted, and nice beaches. Austin was a tremendous help, and the food prepared by Chef Juliana was some of the best we’ve had anywhere!

Wonderful Getaway

Wow! What a wonderful week! Everything was too notch and the owner and caretaker were extremely accommodating. Chef Jay’s meals were delicious and we loved the convenience of being able to eat at the Villa and enjoy our time there. The first nights welcome meal was an awesome treat after a long travel day. Highly recommend and we would absolutely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time at Villa Santa Cruz! The house is beautiful, extremely clean, perfect for a family vacation with each room having its own bathroom. Awesome pool and gameroom and thoughtful touches. There were a few minor things like the land liline

Beautiful views and pool

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the Villa Santa Cruz! The oceanfront view was spectacular, the house was spacious and we enjoyed the large pool every day. It was extra special to have food provided the night we arrived by chef Juliana and she catered a special birthday dinner later in the week. Since the house is centrally located, it was easy to travel to all areas of the island.

Vacation with Friends

To celebrate our 50th birthdays myself and 3 close friends along with their spouses rented this oceanfront villa. The property was exactly as advertised! It was clean and modern and offered all the amenities we needed. If you didn't want to leave the villa, you don't have to! You can snorkel right in front of the property or enjoy the sun by the beautiful pool while listening to music through the portable JBL speakers that are included with the property. The property was a quiet, private oasis with the only noise coming from the waves of the ocean. If you're looking for a getaway from work and the hustle and bustle of every day life, this is the perfect location. However, if you'd like to go out to eat, visit another beach or walk the boardwalk in Christiansted, everything you need or would like to do is a short drive from the villa. Lastly, the hosts were very responsive and provided some great tips before we arrived that made our stay even better. I couldn't be more pleased with our experience.

Loved Villa St.Cruz!

It was A beautiful property! Luved our stay there and would return if we go back to St. Croix!We had an issue of our own doing and they answered right away and helped to solve It! Very impressed. We have stayed in other villas on other islands, but I feel this was our favorite. Beautiful property!

Wonderful Home

We had a group of 4 couples and we absolutely loved Villa Santa Cruz. Austin was wonderful to work with and Josephine made us the most delicious first night dinner. The home has everything you need and more. We loved hanging by the pool and walking on the beach looking for shells each morning. The gym was a huge bonus also. I would definitely stay here again!

Great Family Vacation!!

What a great home and you cannot beat the view!! All four bedrooms have their own bathrooms and three of the four bedrooms have ocean views. The home is located in Salt River which makes it close to Cane Bay and downtown Christiansted. Austin, the property manager, was wonderful and when we arrived there was a delicious prepared meal and snacks made by his wife. I would highly recommend this property

Stephanie and Austin are great. This property is very beautiful and accommodating for a large group. Something for everyone to do. Check-in and check-out was simple. Bedrooms are spacious and bathrooms were perfect. Pool or beach right out the back door. Hope to make it back there again someday.

Perfect Villa for Our St. Croix Getaway!

Our stay at Villa Santa Cruz exceeded all expectations! As a party of 10, we found the villa to be spacious, comfortable, and perfectly suited to our needs. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that our host, Stephanie, had gone above and beyond to ensure our trip was nothing short of amazing. The attention to detail and thoughtful touches throughout the villa truly made us feel welcome and pampered. The location was fantastic, providing both privacy and easy access to all the attractions St. Croix has to offer. We can't thank Stephanie enough for her hospitality and for making our vacation unforgettable. We highly recommend Villa Santa Cruz to anyone looking for the perfect retreat in St. Croix!

In a word, amazing

I am hesitate to rave too much about this property because I don’t want more people to know about it! The entire experience was incredible, from the welcoming punch, the wide views of ocean with nothing blocking your view, this house is as close to perfect as it gets. Every morning we had coffee on the deck while the kids played, and then it was down to the pool or a short walk to the beach. Leaving at the end of the week was hard, so prepare for that! On site laundry was a huge plus, especially with the little ones. Already planning out next trip back to Villa Santa Cruz!

Great Place with Views

The villa is as described and pictured. No surprises. The views and pool are outstanding - you really don't want to leave. The villa is spacious and and comfortable and you feel like you are in your own quarters when you are in your rooms. I do not like villas where there are bedrooms for multiple people/couples but not enough living/sitting space. That is not the case here. Everyone was able to sit comfortably everywhere together. Beds were super comfortable. Firm and I normally don't like firm, but it was very comfortable. Pillows not as much - the MB could benefit from new pillows Kitchen had what we needed to cook and plenty of space. We had a few issues but Austin the property manager was responsive and helped. The villa isn't very close (walkable) to things - so I'd recommend a vehicle - plus then you can explore. As others point out - there really isn't a beach - but that is mentioned in the description so it was not a surprise and shouldn't be for others. One note - VRBO says check-out is 11am but it's really 9:30 - for those that have later flights - make note and have a plan. Some commented on it being run down. It is not. If anything you might call it slightly weathered but being waterfront and exposed to salt air every waterfront property has some weathering. Overall I would highly recommend and would easily stay here again.

Excellent vacation- relaxing and wonderful views.

We had a wonderful time staying at Villa Santa Cruz. The owner Nora was very helpful and responsive as we were making our initial plans. The house is beautiful with stunning ocean views. The kitchen is fully stocked to cook and the great room is very welcoming and comfortable. Each bedroom suite has an ocean view and lots of privacy. The downstairs pool table room opens up to the patio and onto the swimming pool. The swimming pool was a BIG highlight for the family. It was very relaxing to spend time in the pool each day. Every morning we enjoyed our coffee on the upper deck taking in the sea breeze and watching the waves and every evening we enjoyed a drink around the pool watching the sunset. We drove from the house each day to enjoy a variety of activities around the island. There are some great beaches you can drive to with lots of sand and calm waters, our personal favorite was at the Buccaneer Hotel where we rented chairs and an umbrella. (All the beaches are open to the public). Renting a car is highly recommended. When we arrived we were met at the airport by the house manager Austin - who had us follow him to the home. He gave us a very helpful overview of the house and instructions on how to operate things. He was also available through out the week if we needed anything. We were very happy we hired Chef Juliana whose cooking was delicious. We had a variety of meals through out the week along with her tasty desserts. She helped us get our initial load of groceries which was so nice to have upon arrival. In addition we had great assistance each day from Selwyn, he helped us with all the cleanup. He was absolutely terrific! We had a birthday celebration one evening for three of the family members. The Chef and her team decorated the dining area and made it a very special experience - for dinner we had the beef tenderloin - which was delicious!! Overall this was a wonderful house for our family vacation with my family and my adult siblings. We hope we can come back and stay again.

This beautiful property with a gourmet kitchen, incredible outdoor space and amazing views was just perfect for 8 couples to celebrate our anniversary and still have their own private retreat. Austin and the team were so attentive. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and cannot wait to make a return visit.

Stunning property, location, view, pool. The views are magnificent, easy access to the beach, refreshing, sparkling clean pool. The kids spent time on the beach, finding shells, their dad spent time in the ocean snorkeling, the old folks enjoyed the pool the most. The location is very handy and everything we wanted was only a short drive away. We were fortunate to find this property and our excitement over it was rewarded! Hope to be back someday soon.

The property is absolutely beautiful; great house, great location. The host was incredibly responsive and accommodating as were Austin and the other staff. The welcome lunch was delicious - and so appreciated after a long morning of traveling.
