Some additional details about the house: the house is on a drilled well, septic system, and uses satellite internet. For the drilled well, the water is filtered in multiple stages. The best source of drinking water is the small tap next to the sink or the water from the fridge.
For the septic system, please don’t flush anything but the usual and toilet paper.
For the internet, since it is satellite-based, bad weather can limit service to the area. Please enjoy one of our many amenities, books, or movies if the internet goes down.
Finally, we provide a BBQ and propane tank but don’t guarantee that propane will be available. There is a convenience store 10 minutes from the property, The Red Barn - the propane tank, if empty, can be exchanged here (at the renter's cost).
For safety purposes, we have cameras on the exterior of our property, excluding the hot tub area.

The location and property were absolutely wonderful. They host was very friendly and their accommodations went above what they were required to do. I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone looking to get away from the city.

Lovely to host such polite and friendly guests. Highly recommended, and welcome to come back any day.
My family and I had a great time at this cottage - fireplace on both floors to create such a cozy stay. We had it turned on while watching movies. Place was very clean and host was quick to respond to any questions we had.

The property is in a beautiful location, peaceful, but the Neighbours are not happy to see different people going for a walking. They may following you asking what are looking for it. Very weird.
The house is spacious and has plenty of room. It’s old and need some updates. The washrooms and floors should be better cleaned.
Hot tub was clean and warm, it was very nice to relax. Pool table was fun to play as well.
Overall it was a great stay.
We were at this location for 2 nights/3 days.
The location and property is pretty good - hot tub was a good experience. Nice backyard with fire pit. Good board games and movie dvds.
Cleanliness was an issue, we had to vacuum and clean the place for the 1st hour we were there. Oven had a greasy plate, half washed cutlery in the dishwasher, outside lights weren’t working. We informed the owner about the cleanliness issue and never heard back from
him for the entire stay to check in or give an update on why things were not clean for our stay. Propane grill was not working either but we were notified in advance that propane is changed once a month and they don’t guarantee it.
Overall good property, come for the hot tub and a relaxing night by the fire pit with friends. Won’t recommend for families.
We enjoyed a few days in this charming house, the views from the deck were stunning and the outdoor space and sports/games equipment were great for the kids. The kitchen was basic but functional, it is an older house but great for what we were looking for. There are two fantastic bedrooms upstairs with views, but the other two are in the basement, one with a tiny window and one with no window at all. We put the kids downstairs but if you were all adult couples, that may cause a heated conversation over who gets a view! Overall a good experience.
We had a great time staying here during winter. Property was very clean and got everything as described. Owner was always available for any questions and the response was super fast.
Great spot, lots of land for outdoor activities, nice view of the lake, 2.5 baths helps with 6+ adults.
Some issues due to the violent storm that passed through, Tele helped where he could but we still had to leave a day early. . Place is stocked with essentials only. Bring a wine opener :) coffee makers use K-cups. There is Parking for many cars.
It’s a nice location, close to Cobourg should you need to go into town for anything everything is in that city.
The location was very nice and close to toronto. We enjoyed our stay and had a fun time in the cottage. The property owner answered my messages immediately.
This stay went perfect from beginning to end! Our host was beyond helpful in all ways and truly committed to making our stay an excellent one! Would 💯 recommend.
We got away for the long weekend during the winter and it was an amazing 3 days! Tele took great care of us and was very responsive and catered to all of our needs for assistance! This place is very cozy and comfortable, would definitely recommend a stay here.
As advertised, but much much more. The pictures really don't do this place justice. The view is even more phenomenal in person. It's like looking at a picture.
Pros:
- The view from inside/outside, in the hot tub. You can easily spend hours staring at nature from the huge window in the living room
- It was super cozy. These are some of the best beds I have ever slept on in a hotel / bnb
- There was plenty of room
- The place was well equipped and well stocked
- Tele was an amazing host. Super nice and definitely went above and beyond to make our stay amazing
Cons: I honestly don't have any. Keep in mind this is a house, not a hotel. It is the perfect getaway for a group of mature friends from city life, and only an hour and a half from the city. I would love to stay again. It would be cool to check this place out in different seasons.
