Private Lakefront Retreat - Guests say “We Want to Buy It”
This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place people don’t want to leave. Tucked along the quiet shoreline of Lincoln Lake, this private cottage has become something of a hidden gem. Guests regularly say the same thing before they leave: “WE WANT TO BUY THIS PLACE.” TheExperience: Mornings start slow—coffee on the porch, the lake still, birds moving through the trees. Afternoons are yours. Fish off the dock, take the kayaks out, read, stroll around the lake, or do nothing at all. Evenings are where it settles in—cool shade, fire pit going, the kind of quiet you didn’t realize you needed. This isn’t a busy, crowded lake, it’s peaceful, private, hard to find. What makes it different…Sits on 4 manicured lake lots , (rare for this area). Private dock, screened porch for year round comfort, Stone patio + fire pit for the evenings. Wildlife everywhere—eagles, deer, otters, owls, waterfowl, etc…. Everything here has been intentionally cared for—not just functional, but felt. Location: 20 minutes from Jack Daniels Distillery, 15 minutes to Pritchard Distillery, minutes to Elk River canoe access, close to hiking, but far from noise. Included: 2 kayaks and firewood. IMPORTANT: Quiet lake community—this is a place to relax, not party. No gas powered boats. Pet Fee: $100 (please clean up + minimize barking)

Beautifully decorated cottage with thoughtful touches. Spent hours on the screened in porch watching the bird life - ospreys, turkey vultures, geese , herons, etc. Very restful. The cottage was well stocked with everything we needed. Loved our stay.
Adorable cottage on a quiet lake. The house was perfect, with comfortable furniture and a well stocked kitchen. The host was very kind and responsive when needed. We enjoyed our time & would look to stay again in the future!
Beautiful property. Pictures online don’t do it justice. Secluded location for peace. Clean and well equipped. Decorations are out of a magazine. Owner was helpful and check in was easy. We highly recommend this home.
The property was as beautiful as described, very clean and comfortable… couches, chairs and especially the king size bed. We slept so good. The stars at night sitting in the porch swing are amazing. The owner was great about communicating before and during our stay promptly responding to questions. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to use/find what we needed. Even coffee for the Keurig, nice touch! Loved eating at the table on the screened in porch which was so pleasant with the ceiling fan and lake view. There are no great grocery stores close to the property so come well stocked! It took quite a while to clean all the bird poop and spider habitats off the kayaks, but we had a blast fishing on them and caught some small blue gills and bass. The lake and all the trees are quite pretty.
What a gorgeous and quaint cabin! It couldn’t have been a more perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. Shellia was an awesome hostess and great to communicate with. We will definitely be back
Beautiful, beautiful property! We absolutely loved our stay here. The home was well stocked, including with bug spray, which we had forgotten, so that was great! The games were fun (we played a ton of Backgammon on the beautiful enclosed porch), the sights were stunning, and overall this place was just the relaxing getaway we needed. I can see why people say they want to buy it!! On top of the gorgeous property itself, the whole lake neighborhood is just cozy. Make sure you stop at the nearby grocery store, Gerald's for any needs beforehand. It's a bit of a hike into town if you don't or if you forget something!A couple of really minor details (just "would have been nice" stuff): The website said firewood provided and it really wasn't, just three MASSIVE logs that wouldn't burn (scorch marks on them from the last guests trying to burn lol) so we went out and bought some. Also it would be nice if whoever maintains the property between guests clears spiderwebs--there were some big ones all over the place (deck stairs, tree swing, chairs by campfire and on dock). Not a big deal, just a little detail :)
A very nice place to stay! Clean, pet-friendly, great beds and linens, well-stocked kitchen, excellent communication with the owner while onsite. We enjoyed fishing from the dock, bike rides, walks, and enjoying the view from the screened-in porch. The landscaping was top-notch. I especially enjoyed walking the property and enjoying the gardens. We will be back soon!
This was the best hidden gem we have came across. Beautiful house in a perfect location. The host of this property was amazing and very hospitable. They get 10s all across the board.
We stayed for a week and had an awesome time! This place is perfect. Enjoyed the peace and quite, the beautiful home, and of course, the fishing! On the last day, we experienced an eagle catching a fish! We will be back!
The kitchen was very well equipped. Other than groceries, there was nothing that we needed that wasn’t already there. I am a recovering cancer patient, and this PEACEFUL getaway was just what I needed after a long season of treatment. The host was very friendly, and communicated well. If a cabin became available here, I would buy it!
This place is great for relaxing by the lake and kayaking. We enjoyed our evenings by the fire pit and mornings on the screened in porch. The cottage is very clean and had everything we needed for our getaway. The first time crossing the damn/spillway is a little unnerving but after a couple of times you get used to it. I highly recommend visiting Pritchards distillery, a short drive from the lake.
We stayed here so we could visit Falls Mill. Bluebird Rest was a good base to explore the area. My two kids (aged 6 and 3) loved the golf cart and the kayak.
Had a great stay at Bluebird rest. Very peaceful setting for a nice relaxing weekend. Shellia was very responsive and answered any questions. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away.
