Great location, but the master bed needs an upgrade.We loved the location of this home! Being within walking distance of town and Shaw’s made errands a breeze, and having the slopes just 15 minutes away offered us incredible flexibility. The kitchen was also very well-stocked with pots and pans (though adding a whisk and a strainer would be great).Unfortunately, our stay was significantly impacted by the bed in the master bedroom. It was extremely uncomfortable and creaked loudly with every movement. My husband and I both left with severe back and neck pain. We hope the host considers replacing the mattress and the bed frame, as the rest of the house is wonderful.

Better than advertised!

We had a terrific ski weekend stay. The house was perfect, clean, close to town, and had everything we needed and wanted. Really a terrific find. We plan on returning!

Cute getaway

We enjoyed our two nights there in between other stops on our road trip. I would recommend it but would say that there are small things that could improve the stay. You have to go and get physical keys at the rental agency. We were coming in late and that felt like an inconvenience. There were no wash cloths only larger hand towels and no trash bags in the large kitchen trash can. There was a bar soap left of shampoo and conditioner but no body wash etc. overall it’s a cute and charming town and old home to go along with it.

Cute elements. Adequate for the two of us. The master bedroom is small, crowded, at the noisy front of house by the road, with a clothing rack and a broken decorative chair. It should be switched with the very large, bright kids room which has a closet, room for a desk or reading chair, and is much quieter. The bed was comfortable and with great foam pillows. The fireplace was chained up. While we didn’t need to use it, it was ugly to see when reading in the living room. The living room only has one lamp and no over head lighting. It could use a floor lamp. Location is excellent with a side walk to town. You can walk to the downtown faster than the cars. There was a line of traffic in front of the house constantly with leaf peeping season. There is a screened porch at the back which is nice. The front porch is not useable as it slopes severely and is overgrown with vines. There are mats on the porch that helped keep us from slipping on the porch when coming in from the rain. The steps up to the house are railroad ties and gravel but uneven. Take care walking up and down. The kitchen was adequate. The scratched Teflon should be replaced but other items allowed us to cook dinners. Stove and refrigerator were nice. The bathroom had been redone and we loved the large shower. Great water pressure and temperature. We would stay here again.
