About this property

Our 17th century Barn converted into a relaxed, bohemian home.

Our home is set in an acre of orchard and lawn. Plum, apple, walnut and almond trees offer seclusion and tranquility. The ancient barn is set on a flat hilltop in Honfleur just a few minutes drive into the old port (1.5k ) or a 20 minute walk. It is perfectly suited to families and pets. The orchard is secure with iron gates so children and dogs can run free ! The Barn has been renovated by our family and retains the ancient colomabage and quirky details. It is charming and very relaxed , country style kitchen, salon and conservatory. There are 4 bedrooms and one family bathroom upstairs with an additional wc downstairs. Perfect for a 4 adults and children.

We spent a week there with our family (4 adults and 3 teenager) and had a wonderful time. The house is really cosy and unique with a lot of charm. the large garden is just fantastic - for both, kids and dogs and for relaxing. The house has absolutely everything you need. we surely enjoyed cooking in the beautiful kitchen and sitting around the large wooden table, playing games. throughout the garden and inside the house are cozy corners for sitting, relaxing, reading oder painting. We often took the footpath to honfleur-nice and easy to walk.It is a very lovely, special place and Clare and Tom a extremely pleasent hosts.

This is an exquisite spot, a real sanctuary. The house and grounds are beautiful and spacious, with plenty of room to spread out. A dawn (and evening) chorus featuring an extraordinary variety of birds, deer (including two little fawns) grazing in the huge garden. Loads of outdoor games available. We spent most of the time outside, but the inside is also very comfortable and easy. Honfleur is a fantastic little town/harbour, with lots of good bars and restaurants; it is a very pretty walk from the house. This is an excellent base to explore all the area has to offer… some real gems (especially recommend the beach bar/restaurant, La Brise Marine, in nearby Villerville and the farm/petting zoo in Ouezy). The owners - Claire and Tom - are very friendly, always available to answer any questions or to provide tips. We had a brilliant holiday. Thank you.

A fantastic place! We originally rented the house for 2,5 weeks, but we loved it so much that we decided to extend our stay with a couple of nights. Tom and Claire are lovely, very communicative and so so welcoming. We felt at home straight away, and fully enjoyed the cozy house, the beautiful garden and very nice surroundings, local boulangeries and markets. It was perfect for our dog who could run around freely in the garden, as well as our baby, who had a baby cot set up, baby chairs prepared and even a baby pool filled for her when we arrived. We cannot recommend this house enough, we had a lovely time and hope to be back one day.
